Came here for work lunch and was pleasantly surprised at the food quality, and service levels. They even have lunch specials formed from about $13-$20. I can't wait to come back so I can try some f their other dishes.
After attending the YELP ELITE EXPERIENCE at Puesto Taco Bar we drove past by one of my husband's favorite OG restaurant cakes LHK Noodle Bar. He said this place is really good and he used to come here almost everyday when he was working around the corporate office in Sorrento Valley... WONTON NOODLE SOUP: 9/10 Loved everything about this from the texture of the noodle to the wontons. The broth was a bit salty. My husband was so confident that Is was good so he ordered another one for my mom and she enjoyed it too... PORK CHOP RICE: 10/10 I usually don't like to eat that much pork but, this one was really addicting. It had a nice garlic flavor and texture. I could see why my husband enjoyed it so much. He was able to make it last for 3 meals!! SERVICE: 10/10 The Nice Man at the Front was so friendly and like a social butterfly! AMBIANCE: 9/10 The interior was remodeled. They had a lot big screen TVs and a bar. There were loud of wine bottles inside... SYL LHK NOODLE BAR!!!!
This is a great family restaurant located in Mira Mesa. Each time that I have eaten here with my family, the experience has been wonderful. Upon entering, the restaurant is very clean and spacious. We often come here to celebrate special occasions such as birthdays and anniversaries because they can accommodate large parties. There are also many flat screen televsions inside to relax and enjoy accompanied by a great beer selection for sports fans. Their menu offers something for everyone who love Chinese and Vietnamese cuisine. They have great appetizers such as their fried chicken wings and spring rolls. But of course, their specialty is in the variety of noodle dishes that they offer. One of our family favorites is the crispy noodles. Their food is bursting with flavor and I appreciate the quality and presentation of their dishes. The staff are also very accommodating with excellent service! This restaurant never disappoints and we always leave feeling full and satisfied.
This place has remodeled since the last time we were there and it's pretty nice now. Seated at a booth along the back wall when I was there for a week day lunch. It was quiet and the restaurant was about ¼ full. The waitress took my food order soon after I was seated and there wasn't much of a wait before my food arrived. Broth was delicious and noodles were springy. Really enjoyed my lunch and everything tasted how I remembered.
Heard great things about LHK, but never realized it was tucked away in the complex. I stopped in after the Padres game and happy that they opened until 10pm on Saturday. I ordered a Vietnamese coffee and their special wonton noodle soup with #A and #D mixed noodles. The broth was fresh and hotttt. I also am excited to see the variety on the menu where I will be coming back for sure. Service was quick and the restaurant is clean with a tempting display of wine bottles on the wall.
After more than 5 years, I finally came back to LHK Noodle and noticed many positive changes. The restaurant is now more spacious, clean, and airy ,very suitable for both small and large groups. Today, my husband and I ordered spring rolls, salt and pepper fried calamari, Yang Chow fried rice, and braised duck noodle soup. The spring rolls and braised duck noodles were flavorful and well-balanced. The fried calamari was slightly oily, probably because it wasn't fried long enough, so the coating absorbed a bit too much oil. The staff were friendly, attentive, and regularly checked to see if we needed anything. I really appreciate the excellent customer service. The restaurant puts care into preparing the food, so I recommend ordering ahead if you are short on time. Overall, a pleasant dining experience and worth visiting again
Came here because my friend invited me to see the Lion Dance to celebrate the Lunar New Year! Thankfully she made reservations, because the place was packed from wall to wall! Before the event, we had chicken, fried fish and fries. The chicken and fish were a little bland in my opinion, more seasoning would have been helpful. Same thing with the fries, it was also not seasoned. They were all crispy though. The spring rolls were fresh and it was served with a peanut sauce. We also ordered the Signature wonton and dumpling soup where you had to pour the broth into the noodles. This was just okay for me. The broth didn't stand out and it didn't have enough umami flavor for me. The crispy chow mein noodles were good, noodles were nice and crisp. Veggies were cooked perfectly and there was a perfect amount of sauce that coated the dish. I liked that they have a bar that also featured many local SD beers. Service was hit and miss, sometimes you were constantly looking for the waiter. However, it was super busy so it's understandable that they are unable to attend to everyone in a timely fashion. The Lion dance finally started, although it was way later than advertised. The dancers were very interactive and allowed multiple opportunities for you to give your red envelope:). This was the highlight of the evening! I possibly may return next year for the Lunar New Year celebrations. Overall, this was a 3.5 star experience for me.
Great spot in Mira Mesa that's an easy go to for my family. We've gotten take out from here and also dined in several times. We love their spring rolls, garlic and pepper fried pork chop dish, noodles with roasted duck, noodles with Cornish hen, and chicken wings. I would definitely recommend checking this spot out!! The portions are great and you'll probably enjoy whatever dish you get!
We ordered two orders of chicken wings (garlic chili & Vietnamese). We ordered them for pick up through DoorDash. I got the notification that it was ready to be picked up however when we arrived to the restaurant, it took another 30 minutes to pick up the wings. When we got home, (5 minute drive) the wings were cold. We thought that since we had to wait 30 minutes, they were still cooking it however the food was already cold, indicating they've been sitting there for awhile. The garlic wings lacked in flavor. They were bland. However the Vietnamese style wings were greats. If we were to come back, maybe we'd try dining in to see if there's a difference. If you're planning to pick up, I don't recommend.
Really great spot! Went with a party of 8 and it wasn't too busy on a weeknight to accommodate us right away. The table shared egg rolls, wings, and calamari. Wings were really good - loved the sauce and they were perfectly crispy. Egg rolls were also very good. Calamari was ok, not my favorite and I probably wouldn't order it again. It's just that it felt overcooked. I will say the pickled veggies that come with the apps are very good! My fiance and I shared the yang chow fried rice and the roasted pork belly dry noodle sauce. The dry noodle came with broth and that thing was so full of flavor! We enjoyed both dishes but I wish my pork belly was a little more tender. Overall, enjoyed the meal, would come again!

There are plenty of seats and I've never seen it super busy. At lunch it always seems about 1/2-3/4 full though. They have a lunch special which provides a bowl of soup, rice/noodles/fried rice and a protein. The garlic chili wings and pork chop are very tasty. The sweet and sour chicken is great. The chicken noodle soup is filling and delicious. Overall, this is a great place for an asian themed lunch (Vietnamese fusion is what they bill themselves as).
I haven't been here in the restaurant in a while though I've been eating here for what seems like forever. Since the last time I was inside, they have completely remodeled the interior and it looks a lot more modern and clean compared to what I remember. The food itself tastes just as good as all the times I remember it and service was quick and expedient as always.
Five stars for the Roasted Quail from the Appetizer menu! It's so delicious--savory sweet and crispy. And, they give you two! If I order a side of rice, 1 out of 2 is filling for a meal. Yum. Friendly, welcoming service. Tons of parking. Modern and spacious ambiance. read more
A family run restaurant with consistently solid food and service over the last 3 years I've visited. The dishes here have a homemade quality to them and the pickled items that come with certain dishes are a sleeper hit. The restaurant is also pretty sizable so you can definitely bring a large party here Will definitely be back to try their happy hour options! read more

This is coming from a mom driving to Target only to realize my hormones are driving me to crave salty noodle soup and duck for some reason. A yelp search revealed that there was a noodle shop in the same plaza. I walked in and the restaurant had a bar and was relatively empty around 4:30. Looked like clean and hip decor. There was a gruff old Asian man that sat me for a table of one. I asked him if he recommended the roasted duck noodle or duck in herbed noodle and he said "both are good. You just order whatever you want".gotta love a gruff old Asian water to make it feel authentic. I ordered the roasted duck with thin egg noodle in broth. But to his credit, the waiter brought a whole spice rack and ample napkins without being asked. And ma goodness that soup was so good. Greasy, salty, and rich. The roasted duck had crispy skin and was juicy. The end parts were okay. Def coming back here to try out more. Looked like the patrons that walked in were regulars that either sat at the bar or the other waiter heartily greeted another couple and they talked about their lives. Seems like a cool place to have them remember you. read more

Stopped in for dinner with friends on a Monday night. The restaurant was slow, and we were seated immediately. The layout is very open and can accommodate a fair number of people, including large parties. The restaurant also has several TVs with different sports games being aired. I ordered the steamed basa rice dish. It was so good! The perfect sized filet with rice and garlic soy bok choy. The fish was flaky and sauce was nice and light. This is one of my favorite dishes growing up, and it hit the mark to match what I was craving. I picked up a roasted pork belly dish to take home to my husband later and snuck a bite while it was still fresh. It was perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Definitely a dish I recommend if you're not sure what you want off the extensive menu. read more

Stop by for a quick bite and found a new favorite spot. Customer service was very good and restaurant was nice and clean. The server showed me the happy hour specials which I dove right into. Chicken wings $1 each, 6 different flavors. Fresh and crispy like I enjoy. Also ordered a noodle dish that was absolutely delicious. I will come back if im in the area. read more
I love this place!! I frequent their lunch hours and the service is always good. One server he is funny and likes to see if he can figure out which language you speak. The fried chicken wings and their noodles are delicious. They even offer happy hour during the week after 3pm! Highly recommend for some good food and they have a wide selection of beer and wine! read more
Food did take a little while to come out, there were a couple of takeout orders that were getting picked up while we waited wings were amazing, i want to try them with pickled vegetables next time bc the fries were standard wings were super crispy and flavorful - im coming back so i can eat them again!! i got the egg noodles with roasted pork, dry and that was also very good! the skin of the roasted pork was a bit too crunchy for me and it was kinda hard to chew so i would like to try a different protein next time loved the pickled chilis that they gave us with the other condiments too water came in a glass bottle and plastic cups read more

Went here with a large group after Vietnamese mass (so I couldn't decline) and there were only a couple of patrons on a Saturday evening around 8pm. Portions are generous. Food was slightly better this time and service was mediocre (forgot a food item and another beverage so we had to ask our waiter to remove it). They do have an extensive beer collection and ample seating along with plenty of parking . read more

This rating is 3.8. I got the gravy chow fun with seafood and the dry chow fun combination which had all the meats (chicken, beef, pork) and shrimp. The gravy chow fun resembled the Chinese seafood pan fried noodle and the dry chow fun was basically a Char kway teow. The portions were large which is a plus. The taste was a bit off for me maybe because it's a Vietnamese take on the Chinese rooted dishes but it wasn't bad. I'd like to give it another shot with their authentic Vietnamese dishes read more

Finally got to eat here after two years of living in SD and so upset I didn't get here sooner. They not only have great food (get the S3 dry) but their rotating draft is special. Beers you won't find at your typical chain restaurant. Their beer menu also changes frequently, so if you see something you like, get it. It's a huge place with easy parking, so bring the family and the party here. The menu is extensive and has something for everything (get the S3 with dry noodles). My wife's soup was good (S1) but I loved my dish (S3). The duck was so good. Service was easy. They brought the wrong dish for me but fixed it really fast. Our server had some great jokes too. If you're looking for something other than pho or a banh mi, this place will probably have something you like. read more
Came here with a large group of friends for a birthday and this place is great! The inside has plenty of seating for large groups and the service is really nice and accommodating. I ordered the crispy chow mein, with combination meat. The portion was a really good size and it was very tasty! My boyfriend ordered the Bo luc lac and he wasn't as happy with that dish. For $19, he felt that it wasn't that great. If you come here, I'd order one of the noodle dishes since it seems like their best dishes. Had to stop by here before leaving SD. This was the first restaurant we ate at when we first got to SD, food is bomb and they are very welcoming. Had to come back and savor the flavors before leaving. My bestie and I came in with her service dog, Midnight. Midnight loved how nice everyone was to him and all the bomb food scents. read more

- this is no doubt my new favorite spot! even with takeout the food was fresh, hot, and still delicious - service was kind and quick :) i believe it was the owner who passed me my food but he was so sweet food: (1) pork belly with egg noodles - so so flavorful and the pork belly managed to be tender yet crispy with that crunchy skin, the soup was so delicious and warming (2) braised duck noodle soup with rice noodles - a deep braised broth that was so yummy. the duck was tender and fall off the bone and paired so well with the noodles read more

One of the few restaurants that we found open on Christmas Day. The food was okay. Service was slow. They only had 3 people working: bussing tables, taking orders, running food, taking care of to-go food. Clearly, they needed more people. read more
