The flotation tank was too hot., It's supposed to be a sensory deprivation tank which means that the water temp is supposed to be the temperature of the body. It was the temp of a hot bath. It smelled. I've been in many flotation tanks and tanks with magnesium salts before. The smell began to be suffocating. I got myself out.- i had been in for an hour but the tming device said i had 30 minutes left. That's the least of it though. There are things this place could do to spiff up and become more of a wellness place where people know what they're doing.

I wish that I had thought to turn the lights off in the room before I started, because there was a little bit of light seeping through the cracks of the float tank. You can have the option to turn the lights and spa music in the tank on or off. My skin was super soft afterwards because of the epsom salt, but you might want to plan to do this on a day when you don't have any plans afterwards, because my hair was kind of funky for a while afterwards. The person at the counter was really friendly and did an excellent job of explaining everything. They provide a towel, q-tips, ear plugs, and anything you might need. The cost was $55 for one hour as a new customer. Definitely hoping to come back here and I've been recommending it to everyone!

(My stuff was in the bathroom, and a man from the 'waiting room' was walking around the tank and using the bathroom -- could clearly hear him urinating even with ear plugs.) It wasn't completely dark nor completely quiet... so, I was a bit bummed about the distraction waking me from my time. I asked the kind attendant to have the owner call me so we could discuss the issue, and she never called me. In the shower I heard a dog barking (don't know if it was from upstairs or from the neighbor's next door)... So, it is a no frills, no privacy establishment... if that's your gig, that's fine, however if you expect privacy, then I suggest a different venue.

I think since my head was out of the chamber, the heat was tolerable and I woke up drenched in sweat!! I had that buzzy endorphin feel after working out! David and his mother who run it are really nice, helpful and passionate about what they do. David was able to explain the whole process and how the far infrared sauna works. They both were really kind and happily took the my time answering questions. It was not packed, but they were steadily busy when I went. I fall asleep really easily so I did not have any issue with background noise, but for folks who are light sleepers you might want to bring ear plugs, but they also provide them for you if you forgot to bring them. I honestly didn't know what to expect coming here and when I first saw the pricing online I thought it was a little pricey, but the pure professionalism of this place is just too good, not to mention the health benefits of the sauna itself.
