This place has truly been a haven for me while processing grief after losing my dad…read more Whatever service you choose will be wonderful. I've done the float tank, the RASHA machine (my favorite), the sauna, and the oxygen steam, and each experience has been great. The monthly membership also comes with a free session each month so it is definitely worth it. Xander, the owner, is incredibly kind and welcoming. They're also open very late (10pm), which has been perfect for me - I usually go at night and always leave feeling deeply relaxed and cared for.

That said, being accustomed to floatation tanks and infrared…read moresaunas, this place did not seem clean, had an odor that impacts me like mold (i'm sensitive to mold). I felt like i was suffocating. the infrared sauna is nice though there's an odor there too. The towels they give are freyed and thin- little things like nice towels give a more restorative feel. they aren't expensive. The heat in the sauna was good and half an hour got a good sweat. The flotation tank was too hot., It's supposed to be a sensory deprivation tank which means that the water temp is supposed to be the temperature of the body. It was the temp of a hot bath. It smelled. I've been in many flotation tanks and tanks with magnesium salts before. The smell began to be suffocating. I got myself out.- i had been in for an hour but the tming device said i had 30 minutes left. That's the least of it though. There are things this place could do to spiff up and become more of a wellness place where people know what they're doing.

I was super skeptical when I pulled up to a really ugly brick building right next to the airport,…read morebut they have done an excellent job completely transforming the basement space into something totally luxurious and relaxing. The 60 minute float was the perfect amount of time for me. I did fall asleep at some point which was nice. I was super sleepy and relaxed for the rest of the day. The float tank also does a great job of relieving minor aches and pains because you can stretch with no weight on your joints. I wish that I had thought to turn the lights off in the room before I started, because there was a little bit of light seeping through the cracks of the float tank. You can have the option to turn the lights and spa music in the tank on or off. My skin was super soft afterwards because of the epsom salt, but you might want to plan to do this on a day when you don't have any plans afterwards, because my hair was kind of funky for a while afterwards. The person at the counter was really friendly and did an excellent job of explaining everything. They provide a towel, q-tips, ear plugs, and anything you might need. The cost was $55 for one hour as a new customer. Definitely hoping to come back here and I've been recommending it to everyone!

I am really glad I came here! I have tried infrared saunas in the past, but the ones where it is…read morelike a cedar dry sauna with the light panels inside. This is a different kind. This kind is the far infrared chamber where you lie down. It was nice! They are really generous with providing a layer of clean, fresh towels covering the entire bed and pillow. I wasn't sure if it would be too hot. It turns out it was so relaxing I fell asleep in like 10 minutes!! I think since my head was out of the chamber, the heat was tolerable and I woke up drenched in sweat!! I had that buzzy endorphin feel after working out! David and his mother who run it are really nice, helpful and passionate about what they do. David was able to explain the whole process and how the far infrared sauna works. They both were really kind and happily took the my time answering questions. It was not packed, but they were steadily busy when I went. I fall asleep really easily so I did not have any issue with background noise, but for folks who are light sleepers you might want to bring ear plugs, but they also provide them for you if you forgot to bring them. I didn't need them. In the front they also sell crystals, drinks to hydrate, gifts and other fun stuff. Thank you!

The next day I went to finally try the sauna, which I was very excited about since pretty much all saunas at gym locations were off limits due to covid, which not only do they clean the rooms, but they also place fresh new towels even if you don't use them, they also sanitize everything, so you don't have to worry about covid at this place. When I got there I was greeted by the man behind the desk (didn't get his name) and not only was he nice, but also very professional. Once it was time to go to the room he explained to me how it works and they gave me extra time since it was my first to get relaxed and understand the heating controls. Once the session was over I was asked how I felt and I was made sure I enjoyed my time. I wasn't pressured to get a membership or anything... I honestly didn't know what to expect coming here and when I first saw the pricing online I thought it was a little pricey, but the pure professionalism of this place is just too good, not to mention the health benefits of the sauna itself. I absolutely recommend this place!

This summer I was extremely fortunate to be introduced to a new kind of sanctuary; Blue Water…read moreWellness. After a 4 hour drive, I walked through the door and was warmly welcomed by Tiffany, the Practice Manager. I sighed a deep exhale of relief and said to myself, "This is where I need to be." The entrance area of Blue Water Wellness creates ease and inspires relaxation. Its soft cascading water feature invited me to be in the present moment and leave the stress of everyday life behind. Attention to detail, styling and the utmost cleanliness was visible throughout. My massages with Brian were unique and personalized to suit my specific health needs. Brian has a wealth of knowledge and expertise in holistic therapy. His passion for helping his clients was evident during the time he dedicated to engage in conversation with me. Brian is a true healer! I had my first experience with Floatation Therapy at Blue Water Wellness. Having flaring physical symptoms from Lyme Disease and many autoimmune issues, floating allowed my whole body to naturally decompress. I felt weightless with no tension, joint or muscular pain. I was truly amazed that within 10 minutes of floating my pain began to diminish until there was no pain at all. I also experienced a profound calmness of the mind. I was at total peace. Afterward my skin and hair felt silky and my body rejuvenated. I benefited from this experience so much that I booked a second float session. This time my body and mind actually knew how to relax into the float and there was no physical pain throughout the entire session. Another day I sat in a comfortable recliner for an IV infusion administered by Nurse Haley. She took the upmost care and sanitary precautions in prepping me for the infusion. Haley couldn't do enough for me throughout the duration of the IV. Another professional and dedicated staff member you will find at Blue Water Wellness. I look forward to my return trip to Blue Water Wellness. Thank you Tiffany for scheduling my sessions during my stay in Newburyport and for being my personal concierge. You, Brian and Haley worked together as a team to nourish both my mind and body. For this, I am deeply grateful! A very special thank you to Dr. Keith Ablow who has truly been one of the greatest blessings in my life!!!
