This is my first review on Yelp - mostly because I'm busy and the business has to be so freakin' stellar that warrants me sitting down and taking time out of my busy schedule to write something out... That said, my experience with Jason at Epix was AWESOME. I asked for a quote at 10pm the other night. He texted me within 10 MINUTES and helped me troubleshoot whether the problem was with the relay or the starter in my wife's van. He was texting me diagrams and pics that he edited with his phone. I got stuck because I didn't have the right set of sockets and he said that if one of his appointments flaked the following day he would swing by. Sure enough, somebody and he swung by ... from Waianae to the windward side! He and his assistant Alex swapped out my starter in 13 minutes!!! As they did so, he noticed my wife's van squeaking when he leaned on it. My wife had been on me about it and they noticed it too - brakes pads were nearly gone. So Jason called O'Reilly's and since he has a commercial account, had them deliver new pads and rotors TO MY HOUSE. They had the wheels and old rotors off by the time the delivery guy came. Then boom, in no time they had everything replaced and my wife's van ready to roll. All the parts were on his discount and the labor and service call was $100! Where do you find that. We are SOLD. We now have "our guy" to do all the maintenance on our vehicles. Jason is scheduled to replace our van's timing belt, water pump, and fix a leaking gasket (while he's at it) since it's overdue for it's 100,000 mile maintenance. We're a busy family and Jason being mobile is a straight LIFESAVER. While my wife is taking our kids on a field trip, he's gonna do all that while she's parked in the parking lot. Unreal. If need someone to do the regular maintenance on your vehicle - JASON IS YOUR GUY. If you're stuck and can't get your vehicle to a shop - JASON IS YOUR GUY. Jason is an excellent mechanic. I needed an emergency brake job when my brakes suddenly began grinding badly due to a failed rear caliper. Thanks to yelp reviews I found him and he was able to do a complete brake job in a little over an hour. I was surprised at how quickly he worked! I did have to drive to his shop in Parkland. But for the shop labor cost is awesome (I purchased the parts), and I have been completely satisfied with the work. A good, honest, and dependable shop is hard to find. He went ahead and got the parts he needed, met us today, only to find out I didn't need to fix my brakes yet. I know nothing about cars and he could have said anything and I'd believe him. Jason & Alex are honest and dependable mechanics. I called, made an appointment and they showed up on time and did a great job getting my sons car fixed. Jason trouble shot my sons 2006 Nissan Altima. Needed a fuel pump. Called around for parts, and he suggested I could get the part cheaper on Amazon. So I ordered the part and 4 days later Jason came back and replaced the fuel pump. Saved me hundreds of dollars compared to if I got the parts locally. He charged me a fair price for his labor. He replaced the fuel pump in the tank, changed my valve cover gasket, installed new spark plugs all under 1 hour. He finished so fast, that I had him trouble shoot my other vehicle's transmission problem. I would definitely use Epix Mobile Auto Repair and will be calling Jason again for my future car repairs. No longer provides mobile mechanic services, unless you live close to Chehalis, or you are able to drive your car to his shop in Parkland. He's done a lot of work on my car. He's dependable and has been there for me in a pinch whenever I needed him. Good communication. He is for the most part, a knowledgeable mechanic. The only issue I have is that he wasn't able to diagnose a problem that I had for years, even when I supplied video footage of the problem. Another mechanic was able to figure it out just based on a brief description I gave him over the phone. Another issue I had was that he advised me to purchase aftermarket engine coils on Amazon. FYI: don't ever purchase aftermarket engine coils from anywhere. They are too important of a part to skimp on. I bought 6 of them off of Amazon, and they failed just after a year, so the money I spent on parts and labor essentially went down the drain. Other than these two issues, I was happy with the services Jason provided. read more

Seriously, these guys are awesome. I'm thinking of buying an island beater and so I just called to see if they could look it over for me before I plop down any money on it. First off, it is past 8:00PM on a Thursday and Jason answered right away (+1). He asks some information on the car (+1), gives me some idea of what I should do (+1), what I should look for (+1), etc. He tells me his schedule (+1), says he'll check if a tech can be there for me on Saturday (+1), and then says that if no one can be there for me, I can text him and he will WALK ME THROUGH IT on the phone (+1,000,000,000,000.....x a billion). Who does that? Nobody. Nobody does that anymore, because everyone is only after one thing - the bottom line. Dinero. Cashola. Money. I haven't even had anything repaired by these guys yet and I'm already impressed. I'll definitely be calling them in future. After that one phone call, I feel less anxious, more confident, and totally cared for by complete strangers. This is amazing and worth a lot. I'm one of those people who likes to shop for the best price around. However, I am also one of those people who values care, good treatment, and quality above all. I can't speak for their pricing, but from the other reviews, I'm sure they're honest people. I think I've found my mechanic for the rest of my Hawaiian adventure. First time ever using a mobile mechanic, and thankfully is was a good one. The serpentine belt on my car broke and Jason arrived within 30 minutes of responding to my message. He picked up a belt on the way. He quickly removed the damaged belt and found the cause of it; a damaged tensioner. One of the bearings came out and the pulley fell off. He then called up a car parts distributor to have the part delivered. After everything was replaced and put back together, I started it and it ran perfectly. It took him only an hour (with the waiting for the part). He was very polite and made sure to physically show me why the belt broke and the bearings that were worn out. 2 weeks ago I drove up to Tacoma from Los Angeles. Halfway on the road trip my car started making a strange whining sound. Luckily I made it all the way up, but on a short grocery trip my car broke down. Steering was completely stiff and battery power went completely out. Got it towed home. Got on yelp to get quotes and Jason was the first to reply. Immediately thought it was a fair quote after doing some research and later getting more quotes at much higher rates. I had constant communication with Jason about what the problem could possibly be. He told me it could've been the steering pump that leaked and fried the alternator. Everything made sense based on the symptoms. He came to my house to look at the car and still properly diagnosed before starting any work on it. He was able to replace both parts fairly quickly and was more than reasonable about his hourly rate which was quoted through messages before he met with me. Jason never gave me any surprises, he was very transparent about the whole process. The best part of it was that if you want to see exactly what he's doing as he does it, he has no problem with you watching and asking questions. Cringing your teeth expecting a long wait and bad news, was not the deal with Jason! He was rolling out of bed at 730am with a 1min response time after I posted to his yelp messenger for help with my suv. He came to my house with out skipping a beat, assessed my car and BOOM!!!
