My friend was very compliant and obeyed her hand signals, but was greatly confused as he didn't understand any English. I asked why and she said it was to prevent theft, but there wasn't any signs stating that there was this policy in place. They have security cameras all over the store and don't have any reason to suspect us as we just walked into the store. What if our bags and items inside got stolen? Who would be held responsible? To prevent theft they should hire more security instead of lowering the shopping experience of loyal customers. How would you feel if you stepped inside a store to shop but was suddenly accused of theft out of nowhere? I can't imagine how bad my friend felt. She even started threatening us and said she would call the manager. Luckily for her, we were in a rush so we went to a different Ace Hardware right afterwards and the people there didn't stop us at all and we finished our shopping there without any mishaps. We also asked them if they had a leave the bag at the door policy, but they looked confused as well. I found Price busters pool and spa, many miles from my house and stopped in. I had visited many independent shops before trying price busters with out any success. I need to say that from the moment I walked into the shop I was treated so nicely from the young lady at the reception desk. Then the owner help me right away. He knew in minutes what I needed and supplied me the part. I discovered that I needed more parts to finish the jobs. I drove back and they helped me with the new parts and helped me install it at the store. Old fashion expertise and friendly people. I wish I lived closer. I wanted to make sure how much it was going to actually cost me, so I made sure that they knew WHAT I HAD IN SUPPLIES including the fact that I had three bags of salt and I wanted them to be used so that I would NOT HAVE to pay their price for the salt needed for my pool. I knew I would need two additional bags but that was it. Well it DID NOT GET USED even though it was NOTED on my file. Then I also knew I needed to replace the filters and would do so at the same time as when getting my pool drained and refilled. The tech was already here, it's not like he had to do an extra trip or anything. I had called and spoken to Shawn over the phone because I received a text letting me know the filters were on sale with a 15% discount and I wanted to make sure the discount was applied to my invoice. He said that yes it was going to be applied on the final bill. Except Shawn failed to mention the FACT THAT THEY WERE GOING TO CHARGE ME $140 additional for putting the filters in. But the worst part was when I went in person to find out why my bill was so high. Of course being the honest person that I am I HAD ALREADY PAID THE INVOICE. Because both the young guy with the beard can't remember his name and a lady with short curly hair ( also don't know her name) were very rude. Even though I was not talking to her in regards to my situation she decided to butt in and tell me that "was I thinking I was going to get things for free?"
