I did research on reddit and this came up as a recommended store. Awesome. I looked at their website which says they have several steps they do with you. First they evaluate what your need is and the health of your foot, then they put you on this foot scanner, then they analyze the data for recommendations of shoe, then you pick your shoes based on the software data, then you use their treadmill to see how those shoes work. It was a long drive to this place but we were willing to do it because they're doing all this work to figure out your shoe type for you and we're like great. We know nothing about shoes, we'll get some analysis and some advice on what would be best for us as we're going to be spending a lot of time standing, walking and maybe running in them. There was no evaluation of our need. We get on the scanning device which provides more measurements than I could possibly understand along with your shoe size, and the pressure points and good points on your foot. The goal being to try to reduce the red areas or dark purples. The sales person starts bringing me a few pairs of shoes. They're all way too small. Turns out the scanner has me at one and a half shoe sizes too small. So much for the scanner. Another batch of small shoes is brought out that don't fit. Why isn't the sales person getting out the tried and true shoe tree that you put your foot on and adjust the heel and the width to get the correct size already? The other issue I have is there was never any linkage (that I was informed about) between the scanner and all its data and my arch, and my pressure points and the shoes that were being brought to me. Was the sales person just bringing the one size recommendation from the scanner, and none of the other data meant anything? I don't know. Ultimately they didn't have anything in stock that fit me, but one pair I thought might be okay. They didn't have any treadmill to try it out on. They didn't give me analysis like you pronate or whatever. So I don't know what I do foot wise. So you know what I did? I went online and ordered multiple sizes in a crap shoot and hoped one would fit. I found a size that fit this way. I still know nothing about my feet and what I should have bought. Oh well. All this stuff on their website did nothing for me. Take it for what it's worth. That's why I rate it a three. It was no better than walking into a Payless shoes for me or blind shopping on Amazon as no one provided any insight into anything for me. If I find something that seems to feel good, well I guess the shoe is properly doing its job.

I had to stand in line for FORTY FREAKING MINUTES while those guys at the counter jabberred and jabberred like best buddies having a beer about the merits of this weapon or that one. I have SERIOUS back issues and it was shear freaking misery for me to do this. I told the guy who finally waited on me, "Hey, man. I know you don't run this place, but my wait to buy these primers was just NOT ACCEPTABLE. Perhaps you ought to have two lines? One for lookie lous and one for people who actually want to BUY SOMETHING?" I made a point of being calm and nice, even though my back was afire. I told him politely that they would NEVER see my face again at that counter. I'd rather pay the UPS hazard fee than stand in line for 45 minutes. That's a NO BRAINER. I came here a few days ago looking for vertical ascend gear out of caves. I was greeted by Jason and he was really helpful and knowledgeable. I needed very specific gear, and Jason was very patient with me and showed me where I could find sit harnesses, chest harness, chest ascender, hand ascende, foot loops, etc. I didn't find exactly what I needed but got a good idea on the things I need to build a personalized vertical gear set for myself. And of course, while I was looking for cave gear, I wandered around looking at all the fabulous gear they have, I was like a kid in a candy store. I could spend hours in here. I started looking at hydration packs as I need to replace mine and found a very nice military edition and will come back to purchase this soon. I also saw plenty of Petzl bags, and very tempted to purchase another. They also carry so much Petzl gear, you will be in heaven here. Also, some great hiking shoes and some sleek, but we'll performing water shoes. I then wandered into kayaks and Jason even showed me the Padillac they have! I've gotten into paddleboarding and kayaking for the summer and now want one of each! This place rents them and sells them. I then went to check out some wetsuit gear, and they have a really nice selection of wetsuits, gloves, booties, etc. I really love this place and it is definitely gonna bankrupt me, but so worth it. Quick "in & out" of the dressing room. The style of pant was a slim comfortable fit. The narrow pocket on the left will work well for carrying things. Items that clip or say a flashlight can carry well clipped on the edge of the front or rear pockets.
