We LOVE this pool store! We are new to being pool owners and have a LOT of questions. The staff and manager at the Southern location are amazing! They always take great care of us, are patient with our questions and our pools looks awesome as a result! They have a good selection, can test your water for free and write out exactly what you need and the timing for each product (I like to say it's dummy proof - which I need!), and their pricing is fair. I know there's a lot of pool stores around the Valley (I pass by several every day) but A&M on Southern is the only pool store for our family. Definitely check them out and say hi for us! read more

I bought a zodiac MX6 in 2018. It has since malfunctioned and stop moving. I took it in and Nick preceded to treat me as I am stupid and when I was explaining what it was doing or not doing he cut me off before I could get my sentence out. His "fix" was me buying new tracks. It DIDN'T work and it still won't move. I turned up the suction on my pool to full because Nick said it was a suction problem if the tracks didn't fix it and NOTHING happened. It's still not moving. They should not have a person working there who treats the customers badly. read more

Went to the 3544 E Southern Ave #105 location, needing to rent a bulkhead wrench "again." First time dealt with Henry. Very nice present and knowledgeable . Great experience. This time showed up early as have limited time to work on pool as work at 11:30. They open at 9am. 2 other customers waiting outside. 9:08 hear tires screeching and look to the street, expecting to see an accident. Then see a car enter the parking lot at a high rate of speed, pull past my location and back into a parking place. The driver gets out and walks up and unlocks the door. I proceed to ask about the tool rental and he hands me a short handled tool. I asked if he had the longer handle tool that I had used a couple days before as works better in the confined space. He advised that he did not. Looking behind him I could see, what appeared to be the same tool I had rented the day before. Not 100% sure, but possible not the one for customers to rent. I advised him that I had decided not to rent the tool as was not to please at the service. He then said something like.. Everyone is late sometime. I advised him I was not concerned about him being late but more so of his driving. I did not inform him of this, but I was previously hit in a parking lot and ended up on a windshield for someone speeding in my college parking lot. I asked for his name and he handed me a business card. Which Showed him as being the manager. I later went to another of their stores located at 25 E McKellips Rd, Mesa. I Have always had great service every time, however they advised that they did not have the tool to rent. Was provided the # to call to voice my frustration. Called the Scottsdale location and explained concerns. The party that answered the call confirmed it was the manager that I had spoken to, and that the manager was running late. I said... So I guess he called in about the incident. At which I was informed that he had not. So either this person took my word that the manager was running late, or the manager called.... Either way I ended up ordering the single use tool. read more

I have always had great service in store with all of my water testing and products purchased. I had the need to call a few days ago about an issue with the pool operation and possible leak. The man I talked to in service gave me a couple of tricks to try to see if I truly needed service. One of his recommendations worked perfectly! I was so impressed that he patiently helped me over the phone and helped me to solve the problem myself. I really appreciate the honest help and the savings of a service/diagnostic call and potential great expense. Started out as a decent company but has gone downhill fast! Very rude and won't take care of you without ripping you off. The filter I bought last week is a 2013 model and I'm paying 2017 prices. What a joke this place is. They refused to price match when I brought in a verified price quote from another pool store. I sent all 3 owners an email and they won't even respond to me. Now I have to find a new pool store. Find a new place don't let them take advantage of you either. read more

This is my go to store for all of my pool and spa needs. I got "pool stored" by Leslie's in the past when I was new to pool ownership. A&M Corson's has never tried to sell me anything I didn't need and everyone I've spoken with was very knowledgeable. I only use liquid chlorine in my pool and they sell the best available LC (HASA). Returnable jugs for both MA and LC which I love! Less plastic in the landfills! read more

Horrible attitude from Tyler Price the manager. Did not want to help me with my parts as I walked in at 5:45pm. His associate did not want to try and fix my part because of quote (with a real attitude) "the owner does not want me to try and fix these because of liability. But for $10 bucks I'll will do it." I said, really? I have to pay you $10.00 cash just to try? He said, " yeah, it's called LABOR!" I said, wow, forget it guys. How about saying this to a customer....."I'll try and get this broken pressure valve off for you since you need a new one, but if I break the case you will need a new one. If I don't try you also need a new one. I'll give it a try, but just know that it may crack. Are you OK with that? Of course I would be, but their attitude towards me was condescending, rude, and mean! Never go there! These two young men working need to learn about helping the customer find a solution to their problem with their pool, not give them a major attitude and try to get cash from them to "try" something! read more

This place does what we need them to do most of the time. The employees are generally very friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that when we needed a new pool cleaner, the salesperson suggested a Zodiac. It was a huge waste of money. We replaced the "brain" twice and the smallest twig would render it useless. About 8 months later we ended up throwing it away and buying a Hayward from Leslie's. A&M is great for chemicals, but don't trust them for equipment. read more

Started out being a decent company - friendly people - just don't try to find out how much you owe. I got the run around bouncing from person to person. If you like a big hassle working with the retail office, then give this company a try. I have had nothing but great service at this store! The staff are all so friendly and helpful. They always answer all my questions and take the time to make sure I understand. I'm never rushed. I brought my Hayward vacuum in the other day because it had stopped working and Jeff took it apart right there, no waiting. There was another man that assisted him and I did not get his name. They saw what was wrong and fixed it right away. They walked me through what had broke and why and took the additional time to check the other parts out. They gave me additional tips on maintenance for the vacuum. I will always bring my pool business to A&M Corson's. read more

A pump for 1 of my water features wasn't working so I called them to evaluate. Josh came out and quoted me $600.00 installed to replace the associated motor. I agreed and the work was performed 3 days later. He called to let me know he was done and that the cost was $861.00. I told him he quoted me $600.00. He denied telling me that. I tried to call Rick, the service manager to discuss the discrepancy and after 3 attempts finally talked to him. He reinforced Josh's claims and kept interrupting me constantly as I tried to discuss the situation. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because the work does seem to be done properly, and as a token gesture, they knocked off $70.00 (the diagnostic fee). Lesson learned: Get all quotes in writing! read more

I stopped in for the first time because I found out that if you bring your pump to A&M they will look at it for free and will do minor repairs on site. In my case, I knew I needed a shaft seal, and it was only $15 labor. It was very helpful and informative, as the technician did everything in front of me and explained it all as I went along. They answered all my questions too, and didn't try to push extra stuff on me - just an honest appraisal of what is on its way out vs. what had to be repaired on the spot. I do know their prices are more than the internet, at least the part I bought, but it was worth paying it to get it done that day and also have them sharing their expertise. read more

Just bought a home in the neighbourhood and the pool was not maintained so I squandered in the neighbourhood store and told them that I had no idea what I was doing. They were kind and advised me. Turned out with what I already had they didn't need me to buy anything else, well I will be coming here for all my pool supplies from now on. A&M Corson's advertised free "wings and rubber feet" for the Hayward cleaner if you get a free inspection of your cleaner. The service tech disassembled the cleaner and took off the two small circular bearings attachments from the assembly. He pushed very hard on the one bearing attachment and all the bearings inside fell out. He never checked the second one and said you need this one replaced. The thing is they do not sell just one assembly and you have to buy a package of two for over $28. He then started to spin the wheels on the A-Frame assembly very, very hard and also shook the plastic arms of the frame very, very hard. When nothing broke he went back and did the exact same thing three more times but nothing broke. It seemed to me putting this kind of force on any plastic part could easily break them which would mean purchasing those new parts too. It appeared to me the tech was intentionally trying to use a lot of unnecessary extra force on the plastic parts which could easily result in breakage. read more

There are still businesses that put customer service first, and this is one. I've been fighting with my Hayward pool vac and dreaded replacing more expensive parts on it as that is what always happens when I have taken it to other shops. I was prepared to shell out $$$ for parts or even a new vac. But since I've switched my pool off chlorine tabs to liquid chlorine, I've been a regular customer of their liquid chlorine for quite some time. I've noticed how this shop has treated other customers with repair issues and decided to give them a chance to help me. The helpful staff at the A&M on Val Vista made a few small adjustments to Hayward, I brought it home and it is traveling around my pool like almost new. THANKS guys! Even though there are several pool shops closer to my home, you are my first choice. read more
