We ordered 12 pieces with tres leches but it was so good that by the time I remembered about the picture it was only those few pieces left.

The food is really good. We place an order and were surprised really good. The quality service and quality of the product. I ambient of the place I have no idea because was a take out order but the food was hat and good. I will definitely order again in the future if I am in the mood of Dominican pica pollo with tostones. The only thing I do not like is the tres leches postre because test like medicine.

I finally decided to give this place a try. Came in on a Sunday night. The restaurant itself is a small spot. There are a few tables set up to dine in. Most customers came in order and took their food to go. When I came in, most of the food trays were empty. Customers were waiting on fresh chicken, fries, and tostones to be made. I ordered the 16-piece chicken combo, which comes with a side choice of tostones, French fries, or rice. I ordered mine with tostones. I ordered their tres leche cakes. I ordered the guayaba, nutella and dulce de leche tres leche cakes. I ordered a sancocho soup and a strawberry lemonade juice. Staff here are friendly and welcoming. The chicken was delicious. The skin was crispy, and the meat was seasoned very well. Very flavorful chicken. The tostones were good , I liked that they weren't too big. The strawberry lemonade was delicious. You can taste the freshness and the pieces of the fresh strawberries. The tres leche cakes were really good. My favorite flavor was the guayaba. It was delicious. Overall the food I ordered was good, nice and fresh. It makes you feel like you just stepped in the Dominican Republic real quick. I would definitely come back to try some other food on their menu. There is nothing fancy here. The main focus is the food. So, if you are looking for an upscale place, this is not the spot. However, if you're looking for a quick bite to eat with flavorful food, then this is the spot. The location is not in the best neighborhood of Brooklyn, but you forget all of that once you try their pica pollo. It was worth the long ride here. I would definitely be returning back.

TikTok made me do it, and I do not regret it! The most authentic Dominican experience you will have. The pica pollo and tostones taste just like those from any pica pollo in the Dominican Republic. Even the ketchup had the sweet aftertaste. The look is exactly what you will find in DR, a couple of tables, and not much else. Even the servers' hair was wrapped in hair nets!

Really delicious fried chicken! Juicy and crispy, the texture was great. Not as seasoned as I've seen people rave about, but very good for a restaurant. Keep in mind, I've had the distinct honor and pleasure of authentic southern fried chicken and hot wings, so pretty much nothing may ever top that lol The combo of Plantains was very befitting and went good together for a street style meal. They poke tiny holes at the top of your container so that by the time it arrives, it's still crispy and not soggy from the steam. GENIUS! All restaurants should implement that technique. Overall, I really enjoyed my food, as you can tell from the pics. It didn't last long at all. Highly recommend, big stamp of approval

I've been to this place like 3 times the food is good only on busy days that you can assure it's not been sitting fried all day. (cause it can be dry and hard) I recommend the staff should work on food temp and freshness . It's really good when done fresh. I recommend weekends since it's busy fresh fried chicken and tostones also try adding dominican ketchup to flavor more like dominican picapollo. The place I don't recommend to eat in. Don't like the area.

Do not eat there. Serving the food and coughing in the gloves at the same time . Poor hygiene places.

Walked into Margon Restaurant in Midtown and instantly felt like I found one of NYC's secret cheat codes. Small space, big flavors, zero nonsense. The kind of place where you're elbow-to-elbow with strangers but everyone's united by one thing... serious hunger. Ordered the Cuban sandwich -- pressed, crispy, loaded with roast pork, glazed ham, Swiss, pickles, and mustard. One bite in and I stopped talking... which never happens. This thing didn't just deliver... it showed up early and over-prepared. Then came La Bandera Dominicana Braised beef swimming in savory gravy, yellow rice piled like a mountain, black beans doing their thing, and sweet maduros sitting on top like the victory flag. Simple. Comforting. Dangerous... because now I want it every week. Place gets busy, gets loud, gets chaotic... but it moves like a well-oiled machine. Years of experience and zero attitude. Just good people making great food. In a neighborhood full of tourist traps, this hole-in-the-wall is throwing haymakers. Sometimes the best escape in NYC isn't a rooftop... It's a Cuban sandwich and a plastic tray. And honestly... I'd pick that every time. #nycfood #hiddennyc #midtowneats

There were lots of choices available - we chose the fried chicken chunks and the Cuban sandwich. Everyone agreed with my suggestion to eat Latin American food and we made a reservation at Buena Vista, not far away from our hotel and also not far from the theater. We came over a bit early, around 5:15 and were immediately seated. We were immediately impressed by the business model. It is a melange of Latin American and Iberian faire with exquisite curation. Their cocktails were absolutely delightful, I had a Pantalones en Fuego, others had an exquisite margarita with passion fruit flavor and a Daiquirí de Fresa, just amazing. Then we ordered interminable Hors d'oeuvres. Their ham croquetas and mushroom croquetas were the rage, as well as the tostoncillos ibéricos and ceviche limeño, The main courses followed, a paella valenciana for two, the magret de pato, a delicious duck dish, and a grilled Argentine parrilla. Not bad for four people. Dessert included churros and tres leches. And of course, a bottle of a great Verdejo. Service was just flawless. We had several staff members all contributing to making our Father's Day evening special. All around us it was festive, with plenty of well dressed Spanish speakers in several tables, and the accents of a half a dozen Spanish speaking countries. Plenty of gringoes too. A beautiful collection of diversity. We left happy, ready to see "Oh Mary" and wanting to return

Wagner was great a wonderful personality and he made sure everything was to our liking checking on us periodically. I have been here before (the first time we did assorted appetizers) so but this time I dove into the dinner menu. The oxtail pasta was absolutely lovely, the meat was tender and delicately seasoned. I had the steak (I prefer my steak more on the well side) and the chef managed to keep it positively tender and juicy. Perched on top of a few slices of fried casava slices and a small side salad. You can never leave without trying the flan it's one of the best I have ever had. Service was quick and food was bought to us piping hot. The only down side is they oddly don't make pina coladas (it's the only thing I drink) and the restaurant was a bit too cold but other than that it was a lovely birthday dinner for my friend. Buena Vista is small and popular so I strongly suggest you make reservations if you plan on eating here.

I was walking by and the sign noting their lunch special caught my eye- the lunch special consists of rice, beans, some plantains and a protein. They were offering pernil, baked chicken, chicken stew the day I went in. I got the pernil (roast pork) with yellow rice and black beans, and also chicken stew with yellow rice and black beans. Both the pork and chicken were so tender and flavorful, the chicken meat was basically falling off the bone. Extra points for adding some juicy pork skin along with the meat! Very satisfying food, you can easily get 2 meals out of it (they are very generous when packing the food!) Will definitely be back to check out their other offerings, especially the mofongo!
