The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is for the xray tech, because he was awesome. But other than that, I just had a bad experience and feel like I wasted $50 on the visit. I have a broken toe, which is why I initially made an appointment at the St.Mary's urgent care for tonight. They referred me to roc because I KNEW my toe was broken, so they felt like it was better for them to see me. Once I got back, the xray tech was amazing. He made me very comfortable, since my toe is purple and very sensitive, that mattered to me and I really appreciated it. Once I got back to the room, the dr (white lady, hair pulled back, no mask, quite an off-putting attitude immediately) was ready and confirmed that my toe was, indeed broken. Then she proceeded to give me ZERO options. Mind you, I worked 8 hours today, and have to work the next 2 days, on soft mats, required to wear closed toe shoes. She didn't seem to care at all. She said "oh man, yeah, money...amiright?" As if that was funny. Then she offered me a sandal type boot, that I cannot wear at work, after I already told her that I couldn't wear those. Then she said I should be wearing a "hiking boot" on my foot, with a broken toe. I don't have hiking boots, but even if I did, wearing my Air Max's today hurt because of the pressure on my broken Toe, I couldn't even imagine having a hiking boot on. THEN she told me to order a carbon fiber hard plate for my foot on AMAZON, and it'll "only take a couple days to get to you"....even though I told her I have to work on my feet for the next 2 days straight, at 4am. At this point, I'm very frustrated (but didn't show it). After nothing proactive was offered by this "dr", I was told that she would only write me a script for "some stronger anti-inflammatories". Kind if refusing to give me any pain medication, even though my toe is 100% broken and causing me 8/10 pain. Oh, and on top of that, she was the ONLY one in the office who wasn't wearing a mask, even though their own door stated that they're required. What a great leader. I'm so sick of this shit. So now I'm still in pain. I called cvs for whatever medication she sent in, and guess what....there's nothing for me. And now the roc clinic is closed and I work at 4am. What a really bad experience, with no results at all. I do not recommend this doctor at all. read more

This location of the ROC Express is at a St Mary's building. Be sure to park in front. NO access from the rear door. You can drop off at the curb before parking when someone can't walk far. It's straight in the front door. So very grateful this place was here (and I remembered it) last Friday when my husband woke up and couldn't walk without crutches! He had sudden onset hip pain. We walked a couple miles the day before and he was FINE at bedtime! When we showed up there was nobody waiting. We gave our insurance and we're taken to a room. Everything went quickly. They did an X-ray which showed he wasn't broken, then the PA Paige came in and did an exam. She found the sore spot, his bursa. Gave him an injection and he started feeling less pain immediately. He rested and used crutches the rest of the day but by the next morning he could walk without crutches. Paige basically diagnosed and fixed the problem in one visit. Absolutely the best possible outcome. We drove from 80 miles away and she said if he wasn't better in a week he should come back. They don't make appointments. Strictly walk in. Really a great system. It makes SO MUCH MORE SENSE to come here for a problem in a joint or back pain rather than a general urgent care or emergency room where they don't specialize in bones and joints. Highly recommend this location. As a side note...I asked Paige WHY or HOW this could happen? Overnight??? Literally going to bed fine and suddenly CAN'T put weight on one leg in the morning??? Paige said something as simple as a change of shoes can cause a bursa to be inflamed. Well DUH...he'd worn a pair of dumb plastic slip-on shoes for 2 miles up and down hills. Normally he wears his New Balance. So she not only diagnosed and fixed his pain but she accurately diagnosed the origin of the problem! I'm very impressed. When I broke my right shoulder about a month ago, I decided to go straight to ROC Express. They are located in the St. Mary's building and you enter in the front where you would enter for the St. Mary's Urgent Care. You do not have to wait in the main line when you enter; that is for the Urgent Care. If I remember correctly, it is the "front desk" in the center of the three front desks. I didn't have to wait at all once I figured out that I didn't need to wait in the long line that was only for urgent care. I then immediately went back to an exam room after filling out just a little bit of paperwork. They took x-rays of my right knee (bruised knee cap) and of my right shoulder and upper arm (broken top of my shoulder/Humerus). The doctor I had was wonderful. I cannot remember his name right now, but he was young with a shaved head. He was clear with his explanation, had a great bedside manner, and knew exactly what to do. I had decided to go to ROC Express because of their commercials and their promise of it being quick and easy. I also wanted to be seen by someone whom I knew regularly deals with these types of injuries. When you go to an urgent care or emergency room, it can be the luck of a draw. Is your attending physician experienced with your type of issue, etc? Here at ROC Express, their specialties include my types of injuries. I am thankful for hearing their commercials enough that it popped into my head when I needed it. Their advertising speaks the truth. This doctor, the nurses, and support staff made everything easy. They also do the x-rays right there just down the hall from the exam rooms. Before I left the exam room, I had an appointment for some more imaging (MRI I think it was) in a few hours, an appointment with a specialty doctor in less than 2 days, and enough pain medication to hold me over until I saw the specialist. I sprained my ankle 3 weeks ago and I was referred to Physical Therapy here. I've never had to do physical therapy before but this facility made it so easy and fairly painless. There are plenty of staff around to make sure you're doing your exercises correctly and to answer any questions to may have (even if they're not your therapist that day). Scheduling is extremely easy (possibly thanks to COVID) and payment plans aren't an issue. I honestly couldn't have asked for a better physical therapy facility. My knee randomly started swelling with no apparent injury so after a week with no improvement I decided to get it checked out. This place was fantastic! I had only a minimal wait to get checked in. The front desk staff was very fast and friendly. They had me checked in and took me straight back to a room. Immediately after I got to my room Regina came and spoke with me and ordered X-rays for my knee. Regina was super friendly and very funny. The X-ray tech was very fast and efficient. He walked me back to my room right after taking the X-rays. Dr Webster walked in to my room immediately after I got back from X-rays with the results. He gave me options and very quickly executed his plan after my approval. This clinic is amazing and if I ever need orthopedic care I will definitely be back. Roc Express is the most unprofessional Physical therapist office I have ever been to. there's literally 5 young white chics who are just sitting there but yet they never answer their phones bcuz they say the office is too busy. Dr. Nikola Babovich performed carpatunnel surgeries on both my hands but he messed up something. I still have a knot in my wrist that he overlooked from the first day I came to him. He told me that it was just part of my carpatunnel condition. it's been almost 1 year and my right hand still swells up I have been In Therapy 3 times and still no difference. Dr Babovich released me back to work full duty with no restrictions . He releases me after he admitted on tape that it was his fault. read more

This place is a hit or miss. You will most likely be seen by an NP rather than an MD. If it is an NP, ask questions! If you feel that you are getting attitude or any impersonal kind of care, walk out! Do not stay! I know you are in major pain but it's better to set up an appointment at the ROC in Reno rather than this place for pain injections. If you need an injection for joint pain right away, ask what is in the injection. Make sure it's the same type of injection as your previous one from the downtown ROC. Their is a white, female NP at this location that changes the injection mixture which leaves the patient in excessively more pain than when you started. I didn't ask the questions. I trusted this NP to know her job and do it right. I was wrong! I should've asked and should've walked out. She had serious attitude, negative eye and body language. Clearly untrustworthy and bad vibes all around. She'll try to laugh it off but the sarcasm is thick with this NP. And after she changed the injection to something else, I am in excessively more pain than ever before! Unsure if she injected into the wrong area or if she injected me with a junk solution but this is completely unfair to patients in need of real help! And she gives NP's a bad name. Sadly broke some toes and lost a toenail running after my wild puppy. They took such great care of me. Even assured me that my toenail would grow back after the urgent care Dr. told me it wouldn't. Guess what?! It did! 4 weeks later and my toes are on the mend. Hope I never have to reason to go back, but if I ever did (knock on wood) I would come running back. read more

3 X-rays on a 3 year old before being assessed/seen by anyone and 6 X-rays total (after a minimal 30 second assessment) all to the sum of: She's probably fine... Really? This place is a joke. X-ray exposure on a 3 year old is proven to be a big deal. This exposure could've been easily avoided if a proper Pt history and orthopedic assessment on the affected extremity was performed prior. Stepped on a rock (slid off my sandal hard) and severely bruised the plantar fascia on my right foot. Two days later, I could barely walk and decided to go to ROC Express in Spanish Springs (at the recommendation of their home office in Reno, where I've been a patient). I was seen almost immediately, x-rays taken and was fitted with a short boot to support my foot without pain. The entire visit took less than an hour, and I felt I received the best care from a caring and knowledgeable staff. Everyone I encountered were courteous and professional and I particularly liked the way the Physician Assistant explained what was going on and what to expect. Definitely will be going back if I need to. Great group. read more
