First time trying the smoothies because of the price but the blue one was actually really good. The strawberry one was just average but I can't say I tasted anything like the coconut cloud before. I also bought the vodka sausage,pepperoni and sausage,mushroom and margherita pizza. I only tried the pepperoni and mushroom and I would definitely say the mushroom was my favorite of the two. The prices for pizzas were actually decent at $8.25 and $10ish. I got full off half,so we actually had leftovers. The service at the counter was great and the cashier was actually engaging in a conversation with me for the first time. I have been here before but cashier's have usually just rang me up and that's it. The store itself is clean,and organized like I've never seen anywhere before. It's pretty amazing how everything looks and how it almost looks like nothing has been touched. They keep everything fully stocked and looking perfect. I have real mixed feelings about Erewhon. On one hand, the beautifully merchandising style (gorgeous produce & wine cooler = magazine ready) but the practical side of me cannot phantom paying $11 for coconut cream! They had $60+ candles and I can go on and on. My friends bought a few things to try like some dried fruits. The bottom line is a lot of the products you can get from Whole Foods, Trader Joe's and even Costco for ALOT less. If there are private labels or top of the line rare items that you can only find there, ok but I didn't see anything I could not live without. After all if FoodSakAvenue is what you want from your local grocery store then this is your place. read more

erewhon has finally opened its doors! a closer erewhon to me and prolly a lot of ppl, now we dont need to drive to the heavily trafficked parts of LA .. ANDDD there is freeeee parking!!! overpriced, highly addictive, gorgeous and aesthetically pleasing products live here. they also sell their iconic totes and hats! came here on the first day of their grand opening. they were giving away their MB shopper bag in mist blue, this time around it was free with $250 purchase, which is so easy here..i think it was for the first 100 or 150 ppl would met the qualifying purchase but my visit was after 5pm, no line to get in, but still so hectic inside. all hands on deck and ppl everywhere. i will be back to check out their cafe, but the end of that line was basically at the start of checkout i ended up getting 2 slices of pizza, pepperoni and this mushroom one; a couple saint james teas, waygu chews for apollo and pistachio almond butter and a couple pastries as i was going through the checkout line ..total: $76 erewhon has two memberships, plus $200/yr; cafe $100/yr service was okay, seemed like some of the employees were stressed out lol and some were just socializing check out was easy parking: no issues and free . erewhon took over mother's market, next to office depot there is also a cute little patio outside! read more

Not impressed by this location tbh. It's layout is wayyy different than my local one and have the most bizarre system... so I ordered two smoothies online for pick up and they gave me a 10 minute window. I got here at the beginning of the 10 minute window and now I'm still standing here after the 10 minute window waiting for two smoothies. The guy at the register said "I'm sorry it looks like they're running behind" and I said "yeah the layout is kind of crazy. I already went back to the smoothie bar where they told me to go back to the registers to get the order" and I probably could've ordered two new smoothies and even been drinking them at this point waiting for this order. It just doesn't make any sense why you have to wait by the registers for a smoothie order to go when you could just wait by the smoothie bar... then the man at the register has the audacity to be like "oh yeah the Calabasas store is an old store. This was my second time to this new location, but I had a pretty stomach turning experience with my Superbloom juice. After finishing the drink, I noticed a thick green residue caked into the bottom ring of the bottle. Since Superbloom is a pink/ red drink, this is clearly leftover residue from a previous Green Juice fill that wasn't properly cleaned before the bottle was reused I understand and support the bottle-reuse program, but for a premium brand that prides itself on wellness and purity, finding cross-contamination from a previous customer's drink is unacceptable. It's a major quality control failure both in the sanitization process and the final inspection before refilling. whether these are cleaned in-house or off-site, I expected much higher standards for a new location. very esthetically pleasing store, all the produce is lined up perfectly. everything looks ripe/fresh/immaculate. Love the glass jar concept as you can see the contents of what's inside, though it probably does increase the price of the goods. Couldn't make this your main grocery store (unless you have ALOT of disposable income), however if it's for a special occasion or if you want to treat yo self. Ordered the tumeric and sea, sand and c smoothie. Loved the tumeric smoothie - you can really taste the tumeric and ginger and it's a thick smoothie (not runny). the sea, sand and c smoothie is quiet sweet (you can taste the honey/maple syrup/agave (whatever they use as a sweetener) as the primary flavor and it's very much on the runny side (or it melts quickly in warm weather). Smoothies are gorgeous looking. It is expensive and probably a once experience. The rating is for the cleanliness, service and smoothie. If i added price to the rating, I'd probably bring this down to 3 stars as you can find much of the product offering elsewhere for a more affordable price. read more

The price points are insane. A 12oz smoothie for $23.00. I think it is inanity and hopefully they will not see me again. Finally a close by Erewhon in South Bay! This spot used to be Mothers supermarket but they completely renovated. It is completely unrecognizable when we walked in - super clean, modern, and well stocked. It just opened, so expect alot of people and lines for the hot bar and smoothie area. Parking was fairly easy as people are going in and out quick. I tried their hot bar for the first time and will say it's pricey, but good. Will definitely order once in a while to treat myself. What I got: - buffalo cauliflower - probably my favorite!! Advise to eat while it's fresh and hot. If you're taking it home, make sure to microwave it again. - taquitos - super crunchy and I liked the salsa they give you. Green one is surprisingly more spicy. - Brussels sprouts - super good too!! I've been shopping at Erewhon for years at their other stores and am also a member, and ecstatic now that they finally have a location here in MB! I've visited almost every single day since they opened. Yes, it's expensive, trendy, and crowded. But everything in their store is also high quality, organic, non-GMO, and regeneratively farmed. As someone who eats clean and healthy, I appreciate that I can pick up any one of their prepared food items and it will be simple, clean ingredients. Like many Erewhon regulars, I come here mainly for the hot bar/tonic bar/prepared foods and juices. Some of my faves: miso black cod, wild roasted salmon, coconut lamb curry, Caribbean jerk chicken, pork pachamama pasta, eggplant turmeric lasagna, buffalo cauliflower, butternut squash bone broth, matcha overnight oats, and all their cold pressed juices that have been some of the best I've ever had. If you can find me this variety of items with the same quality and deliciousness for cheaper I'll be happy to go there. Pro tip: if you're ordering a smoothie or coffee from the tonic bar make sure you order ahead on the app so you're not on Yelp complaining that you had to wait 40 minutes for a smoothie. read more

Yes, I am going to be that one lady. I am going to start with the bad. So, I am allergic to kale, spinach, pineapple, truffle, crustaceans, and shellfish. So, when I look at protein powders (I needed a protein powder), I am going to grab the food item, turn it around, and stare at the ingredient list to ensure that it doesn't contain any of those allergens. Unfortunately, this repeated action attracted the attention of a security guard who kept following me for a bit. I was also wearing a black trench coat, jeans, black knee high boots, and a Kate spade cross body bag. So apparently, I fit the description of a thief. *face palm* Upon seeing him, I had to read the ingredients to out loud to my mom in English and point out that "no I can't get this because there's kale and I'm ALLERGIC" so that the security guard can get the hint and leave me alone. By the way, I had to put several $50-70 protein powders back on the shelf because they contained spinach and kale. Who would have guessed? I honestly should have left after this. But, I wanted to try the $20 Hailey Bieber smoothie. It was surprisingly delicious. You can order it at the kiosk and yes security guard, I did in fact pay for that. and they even show all the ingredients to those who want an allergy friendly smoothie. My mom also wanted ground deer and buffalo to make burgers. So despite my anger towards the security guard, we grabbed all our items and went to the cashier. The cashier very friendly and invited me to join the club for benefits - like being followed around the entire store by the security guard - I might as well make him useful and have him carry my basket because it was heavy. Finally caved and tried the smoothies at Erewhon Manhattan Beach--mostly because everyone on the internet keeps talking about the Hailey Bieber smoothie. While we were there, we also ordered the Cloud and the Mango Malibu. Surprisingly, the Mango Malibu was the standout for us. Super fresh, bright, and actually tasted like real mango instead of syrup. The Hailey Bieber smoothie was good too--creamy, fruity, easy to drink--but if you blindfolded me, I'm not sure I'd guess it was the smoothie that launched a thousand TikToks. The Cloud was fine, just not particularly memorable. Everything tasted fresh and well made, and the store itself is exactly what you'd expect from Erewhon--polished, aesthetic, and very LA. But at the end of the day, it's hard not to compare prices. The smoothies run about twice what you'd pay at Jamba or a good Asian boba shop, many of which are also blending real fruit and doing it really well. So yes, it's good. It's fun to try once. But taste-wise, I'm not convinced it's twice as good as everywhere else. read more

Wow wow... Had to check out the craze that this place has and glad we have one close to our home now. As you enter you see the organization of this place everywhere and it's such a satisfying thing. From the fruits and veggies, the Jar Goods and the juices and everything they have is just impeccable. It's just a sense of happiness that enters your body. There are some good things you can find here some are a bit pricy but they are good quality so that's what you paid for. The line for the smoothies was just beyond dumb and don't understand the hype over a very expensive smoothie that I can make at home but that's just me. The staff here were very helpful as you enter and in every area there was someone if you had a question. I was happy with what I bought some stuff I can't justify the price but that's just me. I've been visiting Erewhon for over 10 years and it's changed a bit since it's such a large operation now. I think they were more selective about which products they carried back then. I still love their hot bar and the smoothies even though it's more expensive than other places like Whole Foods. The quality of the food is great and I can trust they are using clean ingredients. The staff are always very friendly and helpful :) Parking is easy in the private lot. read more

I got the Hailey Bieber Smoothie for $20 and Buffalo Cauliflower, Teriyaki Chicken, and Mac n Cheese Plate for $41. I did split the plate with my friend, but wow is that expensive. I would give the smoothie a 10/10 if it weren't so expensive, so this is definitely a once in a while kinda of spend. The wait for the smoothie was pretty long so I'd recommend ordering ahead. I really liked the Buffalo cauliflower and Teriyaki chicken, but the Mac n Cheese was pretty regular. This is the 2nd erewhan store we've been to , after the Beverly Hills location . This one was not as busy and parking was much easier ! My daughter got the happy biber smoothie and the chocolate cookie and really enjoyed both ! But - Paying 20$ for a smoothie is indeed too much . It wasn't worth 20$. Usually, if I'm in Erewhon it's the one on North Beverly, at lunchtime looking for a sandwich or in downtown Culver trying not to follow my wife around (she hates that). But today we were in search of fine cakes (nod to Babar IYKYK) and since it was after 5:00 (all of the good local bakeries were closed) we found ourselves in Erewhon Manhattan Beach. As we entered, I almost thought I had made a mistake. This can't be Erewhon! It's too large, much too spacious! It was seriously shocking! This store is really next level in regards to its scale which is lacking in so many of their other locations. Normally I just want to get in and get out ASAP. Here, it was so much more comfortable to stroll around and see what they have. We found the fine cakes and were very pleased with our choices. The Chocolate Mousse and the Mixed Berry were both very delicious and very easily lasted two days. In the future, I will honestly go out of my way to visit this location. Totally worth it. read more

Okay, finally ate at the Erewhon hot bar three years after moving to LA! It was super busy around 6:30 pm on a Sunday. Parking lot is huge, though, so that part was nice and easy (and free.) the thing to know is that, even though they suggest a protein with two sides, you're still paying by weight and not a standing price. So the plate option might actually not make sense if you're getting all vegan/vegetarian things that are less than $21 per pound. So def check the prices. I got the tofu sticks as my protein with a citrus avocado salad as one side and the roasted Japanese sweet Potato as the other. The server was *so* nice, really helped me make decisions and was really attentive to getting the quantity of each I wanted. My total came to $21. Everything was pretty good AND I think I should've ordered more of the sides to be satisfied (but it was just hard to tell when I was ordering and also I was scared of accidentally ordering a $50 plate lol). I think it was fun to do as an LA experience but the food wasn't so good that it was worth the price for me. There is lots of outdoor seating which is nice and also nice you can buy drinks from the grocery section to go with your meal. Pro tip: check out at the coffee bar, don't go wait in line with the main grocery checkout. read more

I really just went there to pick up a smoothie before work, so I ordered on the app. now upon getting there, I saw there were two doors in front, but neither of them had any wording to signify one was an "entrance" and one was an "exit." so you'd think it's either one... I went in the right side, only to be met with a hostile tone from one of the greeters: YOU ENTER THROUGH THE OTHER DOOR. I stepped back outside, checked again, motioned to her and said "well there's no signs that say that..." and entered through the "proper" door. I understand wanting customers to go in through the right entrance and exit doors, but when you guys literally haven't put ANY signage up stating which is which, it doesn't make sense to get mad and nearly berate customers for not automatically knowing we can't just walk in either door. a better idea would be to have the greeters standing outside showing people which door is which, or at least putting up a temporary sign. maybe the next time I go she won't be giving customers such a rude tone, but that really brought down my rating for this location. read more

Never thought I'd call a grocery store " designer " but if you were to look up that definition in the dictionary you would probably see a picture of Erewhon. Very high end trendy market. In the days of inflation and outrageous pricing I'd say a smoothie from here is definitely something to call a splurge, but well worth it in all honesty. It's healthy and whole ingredients and they taste amazing. The place was fully stocked, very clean and not one worker was sitting around doing nothing. We were greeted and welcomed into the market and also asked if we needed any assistance while waiting to order. Spoke to a few people as the lines were a bit long and ran into alot of first timers as well. Over all I'd definitely recommend if you're a smoothie drinker. We ordered the sun sand and sea smoothie! Did not disappoint. Had pineapple and mango! It was refreshing and tropical. Will be returning soon I'd like to try all of them. read more

I arrived at Erewhon around 6:50 AM knowing they open at 7, so I waited. I was first in line for smoothies as soon as they opened. I placed my order right away, then stepped aside to figure out what I wanted for lunch. I picked out my lunch, paid, and expected my smoothie to be close to ready. By 7:10, my drink still hadn't come out. The staff were still prepping ingredients, which I understand, but the store had already been open for a while. What made it worse was watching a crowd of people walk in after me, clearly fresh from a workout, and somehow their Hailey Bieber smoothies and other orders were coming out before mine. At 7:15, I was finally told they had to re-blend my smoothie. There was a quick apology, but no clear explanation. This experience felt uncoordinated and chaotic. For a place that charges premium prices and markets itself on high standards, the service really missed the mark this morning. read more

Erewhon is definitely an experience -- but not always in the best way. The store is beautiful, clean, and full of trendy products, but the prices are way over the top. You'll find yourself paying double (sometimes triple) for things you could easily get elsewhere. The vibe can feel a little pretentious, with a lot of people walking around like it's a runway instead of a grocery store. If you enjoy people-watching, it's entertaining -- but if you're just trying to shop, it can feel like too much. That said, they do carry unique items and high-quality ingredients, and the prepared foods are tasty. It's worth checking out once in a while, but not somewhere I'd do my regular shopping unless I hit the lottery. read more
