The Baked Bear has some fantastic cookies. I have previously been to a location in Burbank and this one hit the spot just the same. Inside has a couple of seating spots, but it's quite small. We asked for a double scoop and they loooaded it up. I appreciate that in today's economy. Ice cream is good, but tbh cookies are even better. The staff scoop your ice cream quickly and this is a great local spot to walk up to as you stroll along the Hermosa beach pier or the downtown Hermosa beach area. I got the strawberry shortcake here and it's nicely made. Not too strong in strawberry flavor I'd say. The shortcake is a nice hint of flavor. They were baking away when we came at like 9 PM and the cookies were warm and fresh. The flavor of the month m&m cheesecake was a miss for me personally but my brother REALLY liked it. My other brother was a huge fan of their white choc macadamia nut.
