Acai Bowl - Classic Size (12 oz)
    Chloe N.

Great acai cups! Lots of flavor and toppings! I always order mine online so I can see the list of all the toppings to customize with and it really makes a difference. I think most people do not know what they can add to these- I always put goji berries, cocoa nibs, chia pudding, condensed milk, peanut butter, mango puree, and lots of fruits- for no additional cost! Really amazing at a beautiful location. This is a good treat during sunset after a swim at the beach. They have limited seating so I just take this and sit closer to the water However these cups are a bit small and quite expensive.Even so, I will be back (although probably not as often because of the price)

Crunchy Bowl (16 oz), OAK Palmer, coconut smoothie

The good: I had the Arnold Palmer açaí drink (a special), their crunchy açaí cup and the pink coconut açaí drink. I customized my açaí "bowl" (they actually give it in cups) by asking for almond butter. The Palmer drink was refreshing and had a nice citrusy tang. My husband liked the coconut smoothie drink the best. The interior is modern, trendy and fun with light wooden panels and neon lights. We always crave açaí bowls on sunny days like today! They're located waking distance to the beach so this is a great item to pickup for a beach picnic. The bad: The cup format leaves less room for toppings. I'd like more toppings on my açaí. The açaí had a bubblegum flavor that my husband liked but I didn't care for. The bathroom was a bit messy. There's no outdoor seating area. It's costly. The smoothie drink was over $13. For all 3 items it was over $45. The interesting: They sell merchandise that included a sweater and pickleball racquet.

    small acai bowl (classic size)

taste is good, fruits are fresh, service was good, quick and easy for pickup. not at fault of the creation but I added too many toppings for the small so there wasn't really much acai in the cup/bowl itself. I'd suggest focus on the fruits and maybe just 1-2 toppings if you get a small, otherwise you'll just be eating toppings. i walked for about 5 mins before eating and by then mine was already pretty much melted once i started eating it despite the insulated bag (although this could be due to more toppings than cold content) overall the pretty good

I had Oakberry in Brazil, which was one of the best açaí bowls I've ever had, so I'm glad they also have this chain in the US. This place is super close to the beach, but parking can be a bit difficult to find. I ordered a Classic Bowl with lots of different toppings and it was delicious. The only thing was the açaí was very watery and didn't have the right texture as other açaí spots. However, the taste and toppings still hit the spot, just wished the consistency was normal.

Her pretending to be busy all of a sudden as we walk out due to terrible attitude.
    Skye C.

Walked in and the only worker was on her phone. Me and my friend both have strollers and babies and she insisted on us using the kiosk to order instead of just taking our order..claiming to be busy but was just on her phone since we walked in. I said "6 people that walked in behind us are using it, can you just take our order? " she said no and went back to her phone. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND, terrible customer service. Paradise bowls right down the street is better and the customer service was up to par. Actually insane how rude this girl was, it was clear we had babies and strollers and taking our order would've made our lives easier and she was not doing anything to prevent her from doing so. I'll include a photo of her so you can avoid her at all costs.

I always love the quality and taste of Oakberry açaí. There's unlimited toppings to choose from so I can add whatever I want from their menu. It's refreshing and delicious whenever I get it. The workers are nice and it's not busy inside. There's lots of seating around and areas to sit at.

I love this spot!! Malacai was so friendly and nice! Very welcoming! The matcha açaí bowl was to die for!!! This is at a great location!

The Hermosa location recommended that I use Uber eats to take advantage of a BOGO Free Açaí Bucket. They walked me through purchasing but unfortunately the order went to the Manhattan Beach location. After arriving to MB the only had one bucket for my order. I showed them the promo (attached) and because it only showed one count they wouldn't cancel the order or refund or simply give me the 2nd bucket. The Hermosa location even called her informing them they had helped me place the order. I literally paid and it was a BOGO Free. They could have just gave me the additional bucket but refused because the bucket count said 1!!! Absolutely horrible logic, problem solving and customer service!

They had a lot of choices for toppings, which is good, but it's served in a cup instead of a bowl so makes it kind of awkward to eat. But the real reason I'm not giving it more stars is the açai itself was super sweet, definitely not to my taste.

Service was quick and friendly , got the matcha bowl but didn't taste any matcha in the chia pudding.Acai on the other hand was great! Not too sweet and just the right amount of toppings.

This was after the first sip of my smoothie. I later completely crumbled after the 4th sip and i had to through it out.

The other açaí store I normally go to was pretty packed so I decided to go into Oakberry when I walked by. Never did I think out of the worst straw I've ever had in my entire life. I ordered a large and within two sips the straw broke and was inside of my smoothie. I couldn't be more sure that the company's gonna go out of business, and it was clear to me why nobody was in that store. Sending this as a business owner, who is always trying to improve, hopefully you guys figure it out. lol

Absolutely the most disgusting smoothie I have ever had -within 2 minutes of purchasing it was in the trash. The flavors were unrecognizable, It was so sweet you could barely stomach a sip of it.... had I not been late for work I would have walked back down the hill and asked for my money back. I have never left a yelp review before but didn't want anyone else to throw away $15 or more.....save yourself the cash and go elsewhere.

It's located in a shopping area in El Segundo called The Point. Parking: parking can be a little tricky, but it's free parking! Such an anomaly in the LA area lol. Kat was our waitress and she was phenomenal. Camine also came by and she was so hospitable. Everything that we ordered was on point! (Pun intended lol). My daughter got the cheese pizza and my son got the penne pasta. I kind of wish they had a side of vegetables or fruit, but thankfully, I had just given my kids some fruit before, so avoided the mom guilt lol. The edamame dumplings is an absolute must! It's an umami flavored dish! We also got the eggplant dish, and it was really good! If you've been to elephante in Santa Monica, it kind of reminds me of that, but the eggplant is a little bit more dense, but really great flavors. You may have to order an extra eggplant dip, because the ratio isn't exactly favorable towards the eggplant. Got the kale salad with shrimp. The shrimp was cooked to perfection! Kale was pretty good, but asked for extra cheese. My husband was all about the burger and he claimed it was one of the best burgers he's ever had! He got an IPA beer and I got a watermelon mint Mojito. It was really good, but I think I will try the skinny margarita next time. The price is actually pretty reasonable for the clean /delicious food! We are most definitely coming back!

The portions are plentiful too. Service was just as enjoyable. Jason took the time to ask questions in order to make best recommendations for me. I have driven by this plaza so many times but have never seen this shop here. The signs are really not that visible. We ordered avocado artisan toast, lentil chili, mushroom carne asada, coconut pumpkin curry and hibiscus drink. The avocado toast looked really basic but tasted so amazing. The lentil chili was good but a little too salty for my taste and the mushroom carne asada was a bit too sour for me like ceviche sour level with no seafood. We really liked the coconut curry. That was the highlight of the meal. It came with this spicy sauce but it was like 3/5 spicy level for me lol but went really well w the curry and also the asada. Overall: love the service. The cashier David was really friendly and knowledgeable and also let us try the curry before we ordered. We also met the owner Jason as well and he offered to switch anything out if we didn't like it. They have outdoor seating only which was nice for today. I'm glad I found this place and will def be back again

My order: * The Farm Club: You really can't go wrong with this one. The pickled red onions and herb aioli give it such a nice tang compared to a standard club sandwich. The turkey was high-quality and the bread held up perfectly. * Spicy Curried Couscous: I had to grab a side of their signature couscous, and it didn't disappoint. It has that signature roasted cauliflower and just the right amount of spice to balance out the sandwich. It's easily one of the best sides on their menu. The highlight of this visit was definitely sitting outside (inside is ok, a bit noisy and crowded). The patio area is clean, spacious, and perfect for catching some sun while you eat but most tables are shaded by umbrellas. Even though it's right off PCH, it's a great spot to relax and enjoy the El Segundo breeze. A couple Tips: * Parking: The plaza can get a little tight during the peak lunch hour, so give yourself a few extra minutes or try to arrive just before the 12:00 PM rush. * Ordering: If you're in a hurry, their mobile pickup is always super seamless at this location and can help you get in and out or you can take your food and eat in the park like courtyard area. I'll definitely be back next time I'm craving a solid sandwich and some fresh air!
