I purchased standing desk legs for myself from Ergoprise back in 2013. They are still working fine today. Then a couple years ago, in 2018, I purchased standing desk legs for my wife. So far, everything works fine. Unfortunately, I think they may be out of business. I've been trying to reach them to ask a question for several months now. The phone number seems to be out of service, and I get no response via email or any other channel I can find to communicate with this business. Given the other excellent reviews I am not surprised to be giving the highest rating to Ergoprise. Stephanie spent a lot of time with me during my 2 visits to pick out the chair which I found the most comfortable. I found my posture is much better in this chair and I do not find myself squirming around in it after a long day. I did a lot of research before doing with this desk. A whole lot. Now that I have been using the desk for about a month, I feel like I can write about my experience with it so far. It is very solid. The bamboo top (I got Brindle) is very handsome. It look like the desk in the main office in Scandal at Pope & Associates. The presets for different heights are also very easy to use and make it very convenient to just go up or down with the push of a button. It is very quiet. It was pretty easy to assemble, I did call customer service and they were very helpful with sending diagrams and talking me through it. You will need a drill. I got the full package with the cord hider, the attachable power strip and the ergo floor mat. It looks great that there are no cords visible and everything just plugs in on the side. Just the cord for the desk itself is pretty much all you see. I love being able to move fluidly around my office now. Not up and down and back to the printer and over to the phone etc.. It's just flows a lot easier now and feels more natural. Sure, there are times I want to sit - and I do. So far, I am very pleased with the product. I was happy to accidently find this business as I drove past it. I was in the market for a standing desk for my home office, so I decided to stop in. They were very helpful, especially since they tend to focus on corporate clients than direct to individual customers, but they were very happy to help me. I told them what I was looking for, and after talking about it and helping me, they had the perfect model for me, and at a discount, because it was a display unit they were getting rid of for newer stock. They even took off taxes because I had a doctor's note for my bad back. They even help upgrade me to a newer height controller and floor casters, that honestly, I think they threw in for free, although I was willing to pay for them. No complaints from me! One problem is that the motor was the wrong motor (because of the controller change). I called back, and they personally came out the next day and delivered it to my house and made sure it worked. Long story short, they were very helpful, especially Stephanie the owner I think. While there were bumps in the road, they went the extra mile to fix them, making that customer connection. I am very disappointed at what transpired today with this company. Last night I spent over an hour on their website researching the Uprise desk, I was very interested in its features. I got to this URL (http://www.ergoprise.com/uprise-standing-desk/) where a $599 desk (photo shows legs and top) is shown, it clearly says "Uprise Standing Desk". It doesn't say LEGS ONLY or TOP ONLY. I proceeded to select the options and ended up with a price close to $1100 + @$90 in S&H even though the Home page says free shipping on orders over $85.00. The next morning I called their toll free number to ask why a $599 desk turned into almost $1100 and was ironically told by the female clerk who took my call (4/12/16, 10:45 a.m. ET) that their desks are not like desks one can purchase at WalMart and that the price of $599 is not for a complete desk, I believe she said $599 is only for the legs. You be the judge. Go to the URL mentioned above and determine if the way the desk is offered on their website clearly lets you know that the price of $599 is only for the legs. The manner in which they promote this desk is totally misleading, the term "legs only" should appear in parenthesis at the top of the section dealing with this desk. But going back to this very ironic clerk and her two separate references to 'not WalMart type desks'.....what prompted this woman to make this comment? She has no idea what my budget is or how many desks I plan to purchase. At this time, we have 12 regular desks at my workplace and we'd like to eventually replace most of them with ergonomic desks. I have a right to be concerned and to ask questions when I try to purchase a desk advertised for $599 but whose price quickly changed to $1100. Not only was the Ascend Dual Screen Cross Bar Arm sent to me in silver when I ordered black, but it wouldn't fit my monitors and they will not let me return it because I opened it. I still have the original box and packaging and I just want to exchange it for a model that is the correct color and size and they will not let me exchange it. My company purchased 4 wall mounted Sit-to-Stand (S2S) workstations from Ergoprise. We discovered two were impossible to safely install without an optional track, that we were then unable to purchase separately. (Even being told, initially, that we would be able to). The problem is that the screw holes in the wall mount were spaced wider than the width of a stud, so one would have to open up a wall and expand a stud to install without the track. The other two units were falsely advertised as ergonomic. When we installed them, we discovered that the maximum spread between the keyboard tray and monitor stand was too small to be comfortable for most users. The owner later characterized them as "crap," and yet he sold them on his website. Trying to return the items was one of the most frustrating experiences of my life. The whole process took 2 months and we were initially offered much more generous return terms than ultimately were honored. We had to pay $360 in shipping fees and lost $460 in "restocking fees." We were not offered a refund, just store credit. Thankfully, they did offer us a discount on return merchandise. Bottom line, Ergoprise lost a formerly loyal customer for life. We will never do business with them again. read more

Seven? I think that's the number of stores I visited in the Austin region looking for a new ergonomic chair. The only reason I went to so many before Ergoprise was simply because I started looking for a chair on a Saturday. I was a fool! Ergoprise was my last shot at finding "the" chair since all those other stores did not have what this goldilocks needed. I have interesting back issues and the thought of sitting at a desk for hours on end intimidated me and filled me with anxiety. I wish I had visited Ergoprise sooner! Stephanie and Jody took excellent care of me (side note: if you're in the area, they do have a small showroom and are happy to meet by appointment) and I ended up purchasing the first chair Stephanie had pulled for me to try. She spent quite a bit of time teaching me all about ergonomics - even how to use the stand-up desk I had purchased from a different place. It's obvious her goal is to get you in the right office situation for your body. She has extensive knowledge about ergonomics and I no longer fear sitting at my desk to work. Ergoprise finally made everything right, however I had to work for it. They did not respond to email or phone until I had to write a negative post on facebook & yelp. When I finally talked with them because now they had a negative rating on yelp they said they would credit my account & didn't. Then the CEO called me trying to make things right. She quickly credited my account, however didn't really have any answers why her company didn't respond or initially credit my account. I don't know about you, but I don't have time chase companies that have my money for months & only respond if you shame them on social media. They called me today 7/22/2014 to update my review. Well here it is. Online buyer beware, might have a better experience in person. Here was my initial Yelp feedback which Ergoprise finally responded to me when I posted: DO NOT ORDER! This place is a complete scam! I tried to order a laptop arm and after waiting over a month, I finally had to cancel the order. They never answer their phone or email at all. They only answer via online chat on their website. When I asked about my product they said it was backordered and I'd have to wait another month. I purchased a set of motorized legs to make my own standing desk. I purchased a nice 5 foot wide table from ikea and made my own desk. I have had it since April 2013. it has worked perfectly up until last week when it froze it one position. I called Ergoprise and identified which model. They knew exactly the inner workings of the controls and instructed me how to reset the motor. After 1 minute on the phone with Peter, I was able to reset the unit. As a small business owner I can tell they care about an issue even with a 6 year old out of warranty desk. read more

Standing desk works well and happy with this purchase. Good price compared to competitors. Customer service and returns department unfortunately needs improvement. Purchased a computer monitor arm and CPU holder to work with desk that did not work as advertised. The arm did not hold my monitors and CPU holder could not be installed on the smaller size desk I bought despite being told otherwise. I returned these items with the promise of a refund and were returned unclaimed by Ergoprise a few weeks later. Spent $37 in failed attempt to return items and still have not received a reply from company after writing to them about my complaint. read more

I placed an order online for a Uprise desk with a hardwood top on June 15. The website indicates the item would in 10-12 days. Seemed okay with me. A day or so later, I receive a call from a representative at Ergoprise. They had been notified by their supplier that the species of wood I had selected was not going to be available for some time. They offered me an alternative that was very similar, and I had actually preferred the look so I thought this worked out well. I confirmed on the phone that I was OK with the changes. We also discussed that a representative from the shipping company would reach out to me a few days before delivery in order to schedule in a good time. A few weeks go by and I had not heard a peep, so I checked my order status on the Ergoprise website and see that the status was still "Awaiting Fulfillment" and still reporting that I had ordered the wood species that was not available at the time. August 14, I sent an email to the account specialist I dealt with initially, asking if they had a delivery status update for me. No response. 6 days later I send another email, asking for some clarification on what was going on. So on August 20th, more than a month after placing the order, I get a response to saying they checked with the supplier and the wood top would be delivered to their warehouse in about a week and they would need a few days to ship that out. No explanation why the 25+ days late. I had to send a few more emails before the account specialist briefly explained the wood top maker had a family emergency which is why my wood top was 4 weeks late. That seems like a long time to go by without notifying the customer that they spent $1600 on a desk that seemed like it never showed up. I asked if they could expedite the remainder of the process for the "slight" inconvenience, but they said they couldn't do anything about expediting freight shipments. I eventually received the desk on September 1st. read more

Perhaps the worst customer service in resolving an issue that I have ever encountered. I purchased a full sit to stand workstation with a lifespan treadmill. Initially, things were great, but after awhile, I had trouble with a faulty controller. I have tried to resolve the issue with Ergoprise and the ownership for over 5 months. After sending me replacement controllers that did not work, I continued to pursue trying to resolve the issue. The owners promised to call me back on so many occasions and I have countless unreturned email. They seem to have a good product but the after sale service is about as bad as it gets.
