A great little lunch spot on a sunny day if you're in the area. It's basically just a little seafood shack by a marina, but the food is fresh, cheap and delicious. We had the crab roll, seafood chowder (packed with seafood and not potatoes!!), fried haddock basket (perfectly cooked in a light batter), and homemade chips and bean dip. Everything was good and what could be better than sitting on a picnic bench in the sun watching the ocean? Only thing missing was a cooler of beer. Bring your own drinks! We were on a driving tour that took us from the Washington DC area up to Maine, and on to Quebec and Montreal. I specifically overnighted in nearby Brunswick, Maine so we could try Erica's Seafood, based on the great reviews. This was probably our favorite meal of the trip. First, as natives of the Pacific Northwest, where we have terrific local Dungeness Crab, we're spoiled when it comes to good, fresh seafood. Second, we're not into "fancy" places, but rather just good food that reflects the local area. Part of the "amaze" factor at Erica's is that the lobster is surprisingly inexpensive! My wife and I are Seniors so we don't have huge appetites. My wife picked a 2 1/2 pounder that they steamed up for us to share. It was $15 + $1 for steaming. What a deal! The folks running the place were very friendly and kind. The setting....rough wooden picnic tables with a 180 degree view of the Bay was perfect! I also ordered a cup of Clam Chowder and was amused that it cost $6.50 compared to the $15 lobster! The chowder was very good....lots of clams, with some potatoes and onion. Erica's seafood was one of the spots we went to for lobster roll. 2 for $20 was not bad at all considering the amount of lobsters you get. It was perfectly seasoned and the bread they used went well with it. We went to other places around Maine as recommended by other yelpers, but we ended up ranting about how much better was Erica's seafood and how affordable it was! I spent a week on Orrs Island Maine and must have eaten at every lobster shack and restaurant in the area. But Erica's is no doubt the best food for the price in a 20mile radius. This little stand puts out the most amazing seafood! There was a short line in front of us, and the picnic tables were all occupied. The ordering line took about 5 minutes, and another 5 minutes for our food to be ready. There is a drink machine nearby to get drinks from so bring change or dollar bills if you like to drink with your meal ($1.75 per soft drink). I ordered the "Crabster" roll basket, it came with fries, cole slaw, a pickle wedge, and a grilled hotdog bun stuffed full of a combo of crabmeat and lobster mixed with mayo. It was delicious and the perfect way to eat both of my favorite seafood rolls in one go! The food was hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious! My daughter had the lobster roll and a cup of clam chowder (picture enclosed). This didn't come as a basket, just the way she arranged it for the picture. Don't be fooled by the unassuming look of the chowder...under that top layer of liquid, it was jammed packed of clams...big strips and pieces, not little bitty bits. I called Erica's seafood before traveling two hours to find out if they had lobster. They told me yes we have soft shell and hardshell tell me the prices told me that they steam them if you eat there told me that they charge a dollar extra if you eat it there and when I got there two hours later they were completely out. I feel like I was miss lead because they know after traveling that far you're going to buy something and of course we did because we were hungry but I'm very disappointed in the restaurant and the person I spoke to you. I chose this for my birthday lunch so my granddaughter (2 1/2) could run around. The great food was a bonus! I had seafood chowder and a crabster roll. I imagined the latter would be 3/4ths crab, 1/4 lobster but it is the opposite (and $1.50 less than lobster roll). Great for people like me who have a hard time deciding.Fried clams were enjoyed by one daughter and sampled with enjoyment by picky-eater granddaughter! Lobster roll and cheeseburger (there's one in every crowd) were approved also, and the grilled cheese we ordered for the wee one looked good too. If you are "from away" (especially inland), remember that when you're this close to the ocean, it's going to be cooler than if you're even 5 or 10 miles away, so bring a jacket or sweater.
