We were looking online and found the O'Brien had two new Ford Escape Hybrids available so we went right over first thing. We looked at both vehicles and chose the one we liked with more of the features we were looking for. Both were good vehicles, but the color swayed us to the one we chose. We had to leave for an appointment but returned to purchase the vehicle. Upon arriving, we found that the other vehicle was in process of being purchased also. That would leave the dealer with no remaining inventory on this model. There was no real negotiation over the price, which seemed high compared to other similar vehicles we've purchased in the past. In the current market, we had no choice but to buy the car at the price listed, or don't buy it. Even though the cost was spendy, it was a relief to not have to perform the song and dance, back and forth, with the sales team to agree on a price. The staff was friendly and accommodating. They offered us connection to the Ford Pass account that monitors our car online, a free CarFax account, and regular service reminders. Unfortunately, we live in Utah and O'Brien is in Shelbyville, KY. Our salesman and the service manager were willing to work with our Utah DMV to facilitate the purchase and get our license plates processed. Another Utah DMV requirement was a VIN number inspection by a local police officer, which O'Brien was willing to facilitate to get the sale. If we lived in the area, we would likely use this location for our service requirements. Our local Ford dealers in Utah have been less than desirable for service. We'd be hopeful that O'Brien would be better.

I will be suing Rockford Lane Auto Sales for every penny and more. They lie, the tax money they put in their pocket until you have made enough payments and haven't had to call you for a payment. It disappoints them when you live up to your obligations because they do not!! I would not buy from this lot, they have nothing but junk on their lot and will bend over backwards to screw you to the wall!!!!

The night I bought the car Sami told me he did not have the title for the car yet and expected it to be available in the next few days, and that he would mail it to me upon him receiving it. He also advised me the car was a hail damage car and that it would have a salvage title. I checked with Ohio clerk of courts before buying the car and was told as long as it had a salvage title it could be titled in Ohio. A week or so after buying the car the title arrived in the mail as promised. I went to the title office to pay the taxes and have the title transferred. Once there they advised me the title was not a salvage title, but a title of destruction. The only thing I could do with the car was part it out or sell it to a junk yard. I called and spoke with Sami and he first acted like it was not his problem and that he was going to stick me with the car. 10-15 minutes went by and we spoke again, he stated the best he could do for me was $7,000. He sold me a car knowing it could not be titled in Ohio and wants to buy it back from me for $1,500 less than what I gave for it, plus the $1100 I had to put in it to make it safe and road worthy. Buyers beware this is why he can't finance cars and it has to be cash because banks will not loan money on these types of cars!

In their notes, they didn't even get the engine type right for my car. A 2019 Hyundai Accent does not have a Theta 2 engine... Might as well get robbed at dealer instead where they actually know what type of engine is in my car. If their shiny ads and website rope you in like they did me, please get a second opinion on anything these guys recommend. Not sure if they treat everyone like a sucker or just discriminate against young women. Only being generous enough to give three stars because I guess they technically didn't screw anything up on my car.
