Scenario: We purchased a vehicle from CarMax and it was in Columbus, OH. We paid the transfer fee to have it brought to Louisville. It took 2+ weeks, multiple phone calls and follow-ups, and several false starts to actually get it transferred. The local team reimbursed the transfer fee and did what they could to make it right. Corporate CarMax, help these guys out and fix how your departments work together to support your local teams who are in front of customers.

I have previously purchased cars from CarMax so I went back........Big mistake! I was greeted at…read morethe door and I was asked? Are you working with any salesperson? I said No so the gentleman said "well I can help you. I knew what I wanted to test drive so I explained to this salesperson and he retrieved the vehicle from its place on the lot. He didn't tell me he had to jump start it........ I test drove the vehicle and they evaluated my trade in. During the test drive I asked the salesperson what route people usually take. He told me he was new to the area and didn't know the streets. (You would have thought that was part of the training!) After the test drive I was told how much my trade was valued so I agreed and completed the paperwork for the purchase. After completing the paperwork I was waiting for the car to be brought up to the area where I could drive off. However........the car wouldn't start. The battery was dead. So the salesperson told me I could pick up the car the following day - they would replace the battery. He explained that service would have it ready when they opened at 10:00am. I arrive at 10:00 to complete the sale and pick up the car............I have my vehicles titled in my revocable trust. So the person in the business office asked me if my Wife was with me? I told her No it wasn't necessary. She then told me it was necessary. Another person in the office actually looked at my "Certificate of trust" to see that I am a Trustee and either Trustee can sign! (Again, you would think people in the business office would be trained!) Then I was told the car wasn't ready............they requested I go get a late breakfast! They admitted to not knowing the car needed service. Needless to say I could not understand how a Customer buying a Major Asset would be treated this way! I left before I said something unpleasant. While having my "late breakfast" I received a text telling me they ordered a battery and were waiting on it to be delivered! They would contact me after the Service Dept installed the battery. Needless to say I did not buy the car. WORST CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE EVER ! I left and went to Bachman Hyundai in Jeffersonville and purchased a Hyundai Santa Fe.

He was not at all pushy and it took very little time - our whole transaction probably took about 15 minutes, not including the test drive. He knows what he is doing and is very laid back but very professional. Tommy Neutz, the owner, is also spectacular. We talked for quite some time about the business and why they do things the way they do - no pressure, quality used vehicles, and they stand behind them. I actually spoke with Tommy and Paul for way longer than it took to do the paperwork. I totaled my previous vehicle and found an Odyssey at Neutz Brothers. The vehicle was very clean but they said they did not have an opportunity to clean the carpet and floor mats. Since I needed the vehicle immediately, I asked to bring it back the next week (I actually couldn't get it done until the following week - my issue, not theirs). I dropped off the vehicle on Monday and when I went to get it on Tuesday evening, the guy who did the work was there and explained that the floor mats did not get as clean as he wanted so he wanted to keep them a couple more days to get them right. Wow - the company culture is so strong that the detailer is empowered to make the customer happy and is proud of where he works and what he does. Incredible. I wish I got his name to give him a proper thank you here but I do appreciate his efforts! I bought the vehicle on the 2nd. It had an out-of-state title so it needed a Sheriff's inspection (they took care of this when I dropped off the Odyssey for the cleanup). On the 19th, they had my tag. In Kentucky, the dealer has 60 days to get the tag (it used to be 30 but the big dealers lobbied for the extra time). Neutz Brothers had my tag in 17 days with a Sheriff's inspection in there, too. WOW!! I highly recommend Neutz Brothers. If you are in the market for a used vehicle, this is the first place you should go - and will likely be the last. I am a customer for life!!

Absolutely terrible experience. I will NEVER purchase from this dealership again…read more I am honestly shocked by how poorly we were treated. We arrived ready to look at a vehicle, and no one could even be bothered to come outside to help us. We had to call multiple times just to get someone to speak with us. When we finally dealt with Eric, the experience somehow got worse. He was incredibly rude, disrespectful, and completely unprofessional. He tried to get us to sign a letter committing to purchasing the vehicle, and when I mentioned putting money down, he demanded to see my card because apparently a credit card "would not work." The entire interaction felt unnecessarily aggressive and uncomfortable. Eric was, without question, one of the worst salespeople I have ever dealt with. There was absolutely no effort to earn our business or even treat us with basic courtesy. What makes this especially disappointing is that I purchased my last Honda from this dealership. I came back because of that previous experience and fully intended to give them my business again. After the way we were treated this time, I will never return. Maybe the lack of customer service explains why the lot looks the way it does. When customers have to practically beg someone to come outside and sell them a car, there is a serious problem. I will absolutely be sharing my experience with friends, family, and anyone who asks me where to purchase a vehicle. Take your business somewhere that actually values its customers.

I went with my nephew to make sure he didn't get taken advantage of since he didn't have much experience buying a car. With Idrive, I think he would have been fine without me. Almost everybody dreads walking into a car dealership because you're expecting the high pressure and sales tricks? Idrive was different. Dealing with their sale representative Liz and owner Edgar was a pleasure. They were straight forward and transparent about the sales process and offered us a great car at a very fair price. They were professional and got the paper work don't quickly so we weren't forced to wait unnecessarily. I will definitely give them a shout the next time I'm looking for a car.

Purchased a used Mercedes GLC from this dealership in January 2025 for my daughter's first car, and…read morewhat followed has been one of the most incompetent, dishonest, and unprofessional experiences I have ever encountered with any business. The first red flag should have been the sales process itself. Ross altered numbers, overcharged us, and provided inaccurate figures both on paperwork and to the loan company in order to secure the sale. When the discrepancy was discovered and we demanded it be corrected -- because yes, $200 matters when you are already handing over a $9,000 down payment -- instead of fixing the error properly, we were brushed off with promises of a "free oil change" that was never honored. The ONLY smart decision made during this purchase was buying the extended warranty Ross pushed so aggressively. Since purchasing the vehicle, my daughter has been stranded on the interstate, we've dealt with towing expenses, repeated breakdowns, and multiple major mechanical failures. While frustrating, I understood that used vehicles can have issues, and I was thankful we had the warranty coverage. That's where this dealership somehow became even worse. When scheduling service, I clearly documented every issue with the vehicle, including warning lights and mechanical concerns. The car remained there for over a week. Ross personally called to say the vehicle was "completely fixed," the warranty had paid approximately $2,300, and everything was ready for pickup. My daughter drove 45 minutes, paid the deductible, got into the car... and absolutely nothing had been repaired. The dashboard was still lit up like a Christmas tree. After confronting them, the explanation was essentially that they somehow collected money from BOTH the customer and the warranty company while simultaneously "missing" every actual repair request. We AGAIN documented every issue in writing and made it abundantly clear what needed repaired. Another week passes. Jacob then texts saying the vehicle is "100% ready this time." The level of disrespect, arrogance, and lack of professionalism from him throughout this process was astounding. Dismissive, rude, degrading, and completely lacking basic customer service skills. He proudly tells me the warranty paid "another $4,000." And yet AGAIN -- the vehicle was STILL not repaired. The invoice itself listed: * Oil leak * Failed electric water pump * Collapsed motor mount * Rear wiper failure * Coolant pump issues * Air compressor problems * Front wheel speed sensor failure * Rear brake pad sensor * Starter battery excessive resistance * Lower oil pan leak Yet somehow, despite thousands being billed and collected, the vehicle was STILL returned unfixed. Ross's explanation? "I knew the air was the priority." The AIR was the priority? Not the active oil leak? Not the failed water pump? Not the issues that could destroy the engine or create a serious safety concern for a teenage driver? At this point, I genuinely cannot tell whether this dealership operates through incompetence, fraudulent warranty billing, deliberate deception, or some combination of all three. The car has now been there for nearly a MONTH and still has not been properly repaired. After happily selling the warranty and repeatedly agreeing to complete repairs, they are now suddenly claiming they are "moving away from warranty work." We are now involving an attorney because we are out thousands of dollars while being given the runaround by people presenting themselves as professionals while operating with absolutely no integrity, accountability, or honesty. Please do yourself a favor and STAY FAR AWAY from this dealership. Disgusting experience from start to finish.

We were complimenting the sales manager for how smoothly they ran things around here, boy did I eat those words. When we settled on the car we wanted, we went through and signed all the necessary paperwork, I was nearly jumping out of my skin with excitement when we signed the paper allowing them to "post a photo shaking your hand in front of your new car." A little while later, we were met with extreme disappointment to find we needed a co-signer in order to be approved. I was hurt and a little annoyed that they went so far with the paperwork despite not knowing if we could actually take it. We got in our car, pulled to the other end of their lot, we made a few calls and found a co-signer. We were gone for less than 5 minutes. We pull back in, hopeful tears in my eyes, to give the information for our co-signer. They started processing it and we waited over an hour to hear an answer. I'm in disbelief when after all this time, I finally heard the word "yes". My mother is who was approved as the co-signer, they said they just needed her to come sign a paper and we are good to go! My mother is a care giver to my disabled step dad so she had to ensure everything was safe at home before she made the trip to help us get our car. After only 30mins of waiting on my mother, we were called into an office, at 3:30pm, to tell us they sold the car to someone else, who test drove it after us at 1pm. They said their company policy is "first come first serve" but I guess they mean "whoever can give us the money the fastest" because they will apparently sign papers and do financing for the same vehicle for multiple people at the same time. I cannot begin to express the disappointment, the heartbreak. I don't want to speak on my personal life and mental health, but simply, the mental burden this experience has been to me is unreal, but what's even more unreal is hearing the talk amongst the salesman that this is the SECOND time they've done this to someone THIS MONTH. To the salesman, Dan Defler and the new cars sales manager Nick Dampier, that robbed us of our vehicle and our incredibly kind, humble and patient salesman Malick of the commission he deserved, I mean this in the most disrespectful way possible, screw you.

Before my scheduled pickup, I specifically asked multiple times whether my co-signer needed to be physically present since I was not financing through Carvana. I was repeatedly reassured that they did not need to be there in person. Based on that information, I made arrangements, changed my schedule, completed the necessary steps, and coordinated everything with my financing company. Then, on the day I was supposed to receive the vehicle, I was told by the person handling my pickup that my co-signer had to be physically present. I was extremely frustrated because this was the exact question I had been asking beforehand, and no one had provided me with that information despite multiple opportunities to do so. What made the situation even more frustrating was that after everything fell through, I was told that my deposit and the money I had paid out of pocket would take another 10-15 days to be returned. After already spending so much time arranging financing, changing plans, and preparing to receive the vehicle, having to wait that long to access my own money created another unnecessary inconvenience and delayed my ability to move forward with purchasing another vehicle. The most disappointing part was feeling like my time, effort, and money were tied up because of a communication failure within Carvana. I understand that policies exist, but customers should be given accurate information from the beginning so they can make informed decisions and avoid situations like this. I hope Carvana improves communication between their teams so future customers are not put through the same experience.
