I have been going to Erie Nails for about 2 years now, and it's my go to in river north. They have competitive prices, and they always have walk in space available. I have never had to wait for more than 10 minutes without an appointment. I always get dip powder with acrylics, so I can't speak to anything else, but they do a great job with dip. I also appreciate that they are fast and I feel like I can get in and out the door quickly. read more

This is my go-to nail salon in the city and i'm long overdue for a review! The staff are kind, and are always able to take walk-ins even if the place is busy. I'm not someone who loved when people touch my feet, and the pedicures here are the perfect amount of quick with scrubbing the ticklish parts of my feet while still taking their time with the massages and producing a quality paint job. One time I didn't know what color to choose based off a photo I was trying to replicate, and the staff painted a few tips the different colors I was considering to make sure I liked it before they did the design on me. Very reasonable prices with high quality services! And they take venmo for tips! read more

visited this place multiple times over the last few yrs only get pedi and always left satisfied yesterday was different unfortunately and it was my birthday my son and I went and got a pedi I didn't get her name unfortunately the whole experience bad My tech had to be new she gave me a swift painful pedicure she kept clipping on the sides so far n hard she obviously knocked me cuz the polish sting i think i ouch n jumped at least 3 times my son spoke of the displeasure of my experience while i was finished he was still being worked on as he got a clearly more seasoned efficient tech. After letting them know of the unsatisfactory experience I was given later while under the dryer tried to explain to me was the allotted time for reg pedi the what I'm guessing was the manager pull security footage with the timer on to show me the time frame I let go paid the $80 I thought the sting and slight pain would die down but unfortunately it go worse over the day today it's now swollen and the nail bed is red I'm so angry I tried to tell that manager I never had that experience which is why I continue to return but ofcourse they didn't take any accountability dismissed my issue showing security time read more

Love Erie Nails spa. The quality of the manis I've gotten from here are great. The manis are very long lasting. The price is reasonable in comparison to other nail salons in the area. The service is great and the devices are clean. They aren't very great with design though. If you want simple designs, this place is the one to go to. They like tips in cash. read more

I just got a pedi here and I've gotten no chip manicures too... decent place with decent service ( nothing fantastic) but this time I was sat in a chair that did not work! I told the nice older lady that it was not working 3x and she got up to reset it...after asking 3x. Did not work again 3-5 minutes later. I really looked forward to the massage part and well $55 later I didn't get that. It was as if I was a bother in pointing it out and if I come on my one day off to pay for a service I should not be made to feel I'm bothering you!! Do not speak another language under your breath about a customer to your coworker it's awkward. After my last pedi, I'm not sure I'll be back! Too many options around for the same price soooooo I'll try another place next time! read more

I had good prior experiences here but my last experience was not so great. I went in wanting a butter yellow color, and I showed the nail tech a picture. She didn't give me any time to look at colors--made me decide right on the spot as she pulled out two shades to choose from. When the polish was going on it was way too deep of a yellow. I wanted to switch colors, and she became very exasperated and angry. All around bad vibes. She started speaking (yelling) in a different language at her colleague next to her, and it wasn't hard to figure out what she was saying about me. It was extremely rude service. I ended up just going with the color because I wanted it to be over. Disappointing because initially I liked this place and thought it would be my go-to. I went to Erie as a walk in on a Sunday with a design in mind and they were able to seat me right away. Not only that, they were so caring and thoughtful to make sure that the finished product lived up to my expectations and it absolutely did! I love the way the design turned out and the amazing attention to detail. The whole appointment only took about an hour and the price was super reasonable. It looks like Erie nails removed my review from a week ago - today is 2/10/23. No worries, I will repost. Thanks! I genuinely believe most of the positive review are fake - I will never return to this place. I've had experiences with Erie Nails before ranging from mediocre to bad, but nothing review worthy until now. The pictures shown are my real nails AFTER having a dip manicure done at Erie Nails removed by another shop. The nail tech at Erie nails, Hong Nguyen, completely ruined my nails - the green color would not come off of my nails after 4 rounds of soaking them in warm acetone and several attempts to buff the color out without buffing my nail raw. I take excellent care of my nails and do not wear tips - I am so pissed that I trusted Erie Nails to handle my nails and I'm even more pissed that I paid $70 for the tech to drill my nails paper thin and apply this bs. I should have walked out when I saw how little care she took with removing my previous dip manicure - that was the first red flag. I would let a crackhead off the streets do my nails before I EVER return to this poor excuse for a salon. They only care about overcharging for basic services. The quality of their work is nonexistent. Now, I have to grow the green color out in order for my nails to get back to normal read more

Decent experience overall, but my manicure started chipping after 3 days. I've never paid for one that barely lasted through the weekend before now. I got it done last Friday and today (when I took the picture), is Tuesday. I wanted to like this place more. They were pretty efficient, able to take me quickly as a walk-in, had a great selection of OPI polishes, and my manicurist's attention to detail was pretty good. My pedicure felt too gentle for my liking and probably could've been more thorough, though I did just get their classic pedicure. With so many other salons in the area, I doubt I'll be back. read more

I was greeted professionally. Even serviced professionally the only thing I probably didn't like was quality of 1-2 of my nails. I didn't make a fuss about it I paid and left. But on one of my nails in the light it looks dull, another the gel dripped to make a weird shape, and few of my nails look kinda weird shape. Next time I will stick with what I normally do and get a basic mani. read more

I was in town for a short turnaround and needed my nails done like yesterday. After doing a quick Yelp search, I called Erie nails and I was seated in front of Ryan within 10 minutes. While he was removing my polish, at least 6 people walked in, and they were either told to come back within an hour or asked to make an appt for the next day. Every time he had to take his attention away from me he always apologized. He was so professional, so kind, and I left LOVING my nails. Thanks Ryan!!! read more

Not a great experience. The technician never spoke a word to me... which is fine but I had the distinct feeling that not only was she soo bored but that I was a bother to her! She pulled and directed my hands and wrists all around, semi- shoved my finger tips into a bowl of water that was too tall to be comfortable and overall just awkward, and the hand massage was not so desirable. At the end of the manicure she placed my writs on some U shaped stands, flipped a fan on, and, without a word!, walked away. I have beautiful nails. I went in for a pedicure and dip manicure. I was in there for over 2.5 hours... my nails turned out nothing like I wanted and not only did they turn out badly the color has broken and have cracked now less than 2 days later. This business does not offer refunds even when they sre completely at fault (they want to force you back to get what.. another bad nail job?). read more

Came her for a dip manicure and spa pedicure and it's pretty decent. The staff is super nice and they always try to accommodate and cater to your requests. They are very detail oriented and have a really good selection of colors. The only reason I took off 1 star is because I left with a lot of glue from the acrylic around my nails and wish it would have been cleaned better by them. I had to go home and spend 20 mins cleaning my nails afterwards. Apart from that though has a great experience and will be coming back! read more

As a walk-in on a summer Friday I was quoted a 10-minute wait time for a pedicure. I was pleasantly surprised by the lack of a wait time as I was headed out of town the next day and needed my nails done asap. This is a no-frills nail spot, located off the beaten path of State Street. The selection of polishes is ample and it felt like hardly any time had passed before I was called to the pedicure chair. With people coming in and out, and being close to the door, there was quite a buzz, although the service was efficient and I was able to spend time at a drying station before venturing back into the world with my freshly painted nails. I decided to go to Erie nails for a french dip manicure instead of my usual nail spot in river north and was very impressed! I walked in without an appointment and was seated immediately (I did go midday on a Monday so I am sure this is harder on the evenings/weekends). I am very picky with colors and application and my nail technician was very patient with me. She was meticulous in the application of the french tip as well. The price was reasonable and everyone in the salon was friendly. I wish I had gotten the name of my nail technician as I will definitely be back! read more

Too bad I don't live in Chicago... as this was the best manicure I can remember having. Walked in with my mom late morning on a Monday and we were accommodated immediately. Huge selection of colors- regular polish, gel and dip. Pedicure was good/average. I had a dip manicure by Ryan who was meticulous and deftly added some simple nail art to my mani based on a photo. Mom had a gel mani which was also wonderful. Highly recommend!! read more

Kevin did my nails and eyebrow wax and did such a fantastic job! I came in with an inspo photo and ended up loving my nails even more. Loving my nails is a plus but on top of that, everyone from Kevin to the receptionist was very nice and attentive and the salon had a great vibe. Pricing is extremely fair as well read more

I must say I've been getting my nails set and feet done at Erie Nails for over 3 years now, and I love it, the people and atmosphere If feels like home. I once had my feet really really dry and cracked skin Lily whom is one of my nail tech always takes care of it. That made feel like she takes pride in caring for their clients. I've gotten my nails with pretty much all the nail techs there and they all know how picky I am and they take their time to make sure I walk out with nails that I love. Once in a while, I love doing nail arts always have the photo designs I want ready, and they nail it every single nail :) Their price is unbreakable and very reasonable for downtown area. My boyfriend and I came in late at night right at the closing time, but they still took us. I appreciate it a lot. He got a regular pedicure and manicure which was the first time and he enjoyed it. I got a new set of acrylic, and I love it. Jennie did my new set and Ryan polished for me. Everything is perfect and I feel so comfortable while we were there. I paid $55 for a Acrylic set. They dont surcharge any extra to remove old acrylic and shapes which the other nail shops usually charge 3-5 bucks additionally. I love how they told me one price and honestly, it is reasonable right at downtown Michigan Ave. My boyfriend is still talking about the mani pedi today. read more

Erie Nails is fabulous!!! Ryan and Nick are so nice and want every customer to be happy and satisfied with their services. I have had numerous technicians do my pedicures and had great quality from everyone. Nick does my nails and I almost don't want to share his name because I want to keep him all to myself. I bring in crazy ideas from online and he brings them to life. I also love that they offer payment by venmo and don't nickel and dime for every little thing (like a special shape). I have been here 2 times and they never disappointed me. It is pretty average price comparing to the other nail shops close by. For the pedicure, the nail tech took his time to work on my callus and a great massage after. He also offered me a cup of jasmine tea which is my favorite. As far as Im concerned, I didnt pay any extra for that. I also get a fullset acrylic nails and asked for the line designs. This is my favorite nail place in the city. They do an excellent job since greeting you when you come in and asking you if you are ok with the results. I trust them with my nails everytime I go. It's so hard to find a good nail saloon with fair price in downtown Chicago and I'm so glad I found this place!
