I came in for a gel x manicure (after asking twice if they performed that service and they assured me that they did) and was almost scammed into still paying for that service without receiving it. I sat down to get my nails done and the woman helping me started to take out the gel x full nails, and began using nail glue to attach them to my nails rather than the gel binder that you are supposed to use. I asked her several times why she was using glue rather than the gel binder and all she said was "it's easier". I showed her multiple videos on my phone of how they are supposed to be applied, but she dismissed it and said "I know, but this is easier." At this point, I had the nails glued to my natural nails which is exactly what I was trying to avoid. I didn't do acrylics because I didn't want damaging glue on them. Also, at that point they are basically press on nails if they are full nails glued on rather than using the cured gel binder. When I asked her to remove them, she seemed very annoyed and was slamming things down. It was very uncomfortable. I wasted an hour of my time, and when I went to pay for my pedicure she asked if I wanted to leave a tip. I politely said no, and she rudely said "well I wasn't the one who did your pedicure". So I ended up tipping, when in my opinion I shouldn't have had to pay at all. Now I will have to do my own nails for the event I have this weekend. Very disappointed... maybe fine for basic manicure/pedicure but don't expect much more. read more

Great job on a manicure today. Cajun shrimp is my summer color. No appt needed on this quiet Sunday but I was the only one there. They wiped everything down, and sprayed my seat / the plexi glass when I got up to dry. Seems they're very careful with sanitary purposes and wear masks and have a protector screen up between you and technician. Happy customer over here. read more

I've been coming here for over a year now. I always get a gel manicure and Jenny does an amazing job every time.

My girlfriend got her nails done there recently. She was able to walk in without an appointment, which is a plus. Price was comprable, as was the time it took for a mani-pedi, which is good because I was waiting for her. Unfortunately, while I was waiting, an employee had brought her dog with her. She let the dog wander in front of the building on a 20 foot long retractable leash. She has no control of the dog, which was a problem for several people trying to walk by. Also, I was surprised by how much litter was on the sidewalk outside their business. As far as the Mani-Pedi goes, my girlfriend says she was "unimpressed" by the quality. I was frustrated and annoyed by the uncontrolled dog and litter. read more

I work across the street from H2O nails so I was hoping this could be my new go-to spot, and it delivered! I made an appointment the day before for a Thursday late afternoon appointment, but I believe they take walk ins as well. Two sweet little dogs greeted me on my arrival and one of the women set me up immediately. The inside is very cute! Thoughtfully decorated, impeccably clean, and the stations are spread out nicely. The two women working at the time were both lovely, super friendly and attentive. I haven't had a regular mani in ages (usually opt for gel), but I wanted to give my nails a break. They had a huge selection of colors and all the polish is high quality. Pedicure was fabulous and my nail expert was super patient with taking off my thick dip mani with tip extensions which I'm sure was a pain! Manicure was top notch, both of the women working have a high attention to detail and the complimentary massage while your nails dry is the cherry on top! Cash is king but they do accept cards. read more

I went to this place on a Sunday at 5 o'clock. After they were almost done with our nails around 5:30, they were telling other people who came in that they closed at 4:30. First of all, I don't understand why they would even take us if they were about to close & going to rush just to make them look like garbage for $60. Mostly everything was fine with the first hand she did (the right) but the left hand she really half-assed & you can tell. She missed a whole half of my thumb nail, she filed my pointer finger diagonal & much shorter than my other hand, AND the other nail tech ASKED my friend if she wanted the cuticle oil because it's an extra $5, MY nail tech just put it on when we were done and charged me $60 while my friend was charged $55. My friends nails were barely blended as well & Im sure she'll put her review here too. This place usually doesn't disappoint so this was just a horrible experience. My advice is, don't go when they're about to close because they'll fuck you up & charge you an arm and leg for it. I didn't even want to tip my nail tech but she was staring at me the whole time I was signing the receipt and it made me feel like I had to. Like, I know you stayed an hour after close, BUT WE CAME IN WHEN YALL WERE ALREADY SUPPOSEDLY CLOSED, you should've just said no and I wouldn't be sitting here with one hand that looks good. Do not go here. I got my a dip manicure done on Sunday and two of the nails fell off by Tuesday. For a dip manicure, that shouldn't happen. Since then, the rest have started to come off, but not completely, so all of my nails are getting ripped underneath as they come off gradually, which is very painful. When I called the salon and asked for a complimentary removal due to the situation, they told me it would be $15. They did offer to redo the two nails that fell off, but so many others are already beginning to fall off and are SO painful that I really just want them all off. I had expected them to be more accommodating given the fact that my manicure did not last even 48 hours, and now is causing me pain - an issue I've never had with dip manicures prior to this one. Never gave a bad review for the other bad services. My daughter and I went to get services done here as we came here before. I got the Pedi....was great. She had a set of nails done....HORRIBLE JOB. My daughter wanted thin and square. She made them so wide it had my daughter in tears. She also charged her for a no chip!!!!! There is no need for a no chip on Acrylic this so bad because it looks like she took advantage of a teenager who didn't know what to do....The tech never came to ask what I wanted for her. On acrylic nails? The nail polish was so thick and she didn't even trim the cuticles. The job looks horrible. They shouldn't have techs that don't know how to do nails working there PERIOD! This place is hit or miss for me depending on who is doing my nails. This time I left very unhappy and my no chip manicure looks very rushed. The polish job is very sloppy and does not go to the edges. The edges look unfinished. I've been here many times but I cannot handle the inconsistency anymore. The nail tech was very nice and he did a good job with the shape of my nail but he did not get the polish all the way to the bottom or sides on my nail. So they looked as if they were already a few days old and grown out. A week later and 3 nails chipped and the polish is so discolored they look brown. read more

Yep, I'm a sucker for a mid-winter (or mid-any season really) manicure. In an attempt to avoid rush hour in the blizzard last night, I trudged over to H2O after spending a lovely afternoon at @spot cafe. My nails needed some serious love after all this dry weather, stress, snow, etc. The place is shiny. Super clean. A haven for germophobes, I doubt a fungus spore could survive up in here. So...right off the bat I was diggin' this place. Not busy, I hate waiting...I got in right away. I mean yes it was 5pm in a blizzard, but other reviewers have said they rarely have to wait. as well! Ashley was my nail tech, so sweet, friendly and detail oriented. She spent a long time on my nails, making sure everything was perfecto...much appreciated. They only lose one star for the awful boy band music, though I am sure they don't know how annoying it is :) I will definitely go back, this place is a great spot to hit up. They also do pedicures and waxing. Looks like a great space for bachelorette party, etc as there are a lot of stations, I'd just suggest to book ahead so they can staff up! Parking is a bit strained 'round here, but there are plenty of public garages for pretty good rates very close. read more

Extremely unimpressed. I have given this place a try so many times based on its convenience to my office, but today they lost my business for good. My friend and I had appointments at 11:30 We were the first 2 people in the salon. Kevin, the owner, started my manicure and next thing I knew, he put my hands in a bowl of water, got up, and walked away with no explanation.Turns out he went to start the next person's manicure that just came in. Fast forward 15 minutes- my hands are still in that same bowl. he is working on that woman's hands instead and yet there is no one else there to come back to do mine. They then tell me that their technician is late and she will be in a minute. She showed up... and then helped the 4th person that walked into the salon. Oh apparently they meant the other other technician that clearly does not know how to tell time. WTF! I was there. My hands were still in a bowl of water, but please go help the last person who walked thru the door and leave me staring at my friend's hands in jealousy. I gave up. Took my had out of the bowl of water and waited for my friend to get done. The tech that did my friend's nails solution was to slap a haphazard layer of clear nail polish on my hands as her apology... Not sure how that qualifies as a solution as I was looking at the lovely OPI color sitting right next to me the whole time unused. As we left, Kevin gave a very lack luster "sorry" without looking up. Thanks, thanks for nothing guy. Fuel for the fire... that tech that should have been there at 11:30, or in 1 minute as I was told, never showed up the entire time we were there. Service level is awful at best. The salon is not worth my time. I will walk the few blocks to a different salon the next time I want a lunch time manicure. I went to get a manicure after work around 6, the place was dead..but they said they could squueeeeeze me in before their appointments at 7. When they said squeeeze they really meant it! As soon as the 3 of us sat down, there was a crazy in flow of customers. They literally filed, buffed, and painted my nails in a matter of 5 minutes! the very next day the polish started to chip and peel :( I don't know if it was just a busy, stressful day for them...but for $20 I want my manicure to last at least a week! I decided to try this place... I love to try out new nail places and I came away with mixed feelings. I was happy because 1. Everything was spanking new therefor everything was clean. 2. On Sunday afternoon I didn't have to wait at all. 3. The staff was extremely polite and well spoken. I wasn't that happy because 1. The owner is rude and every time I walk in there he is getting his nails filed down but I have to wait for 15 minutes to get a manicure that will be chipped by the time i wake up the next morning. The only reason they can possibly still be in business is because they are located across the street from such a busy office building and all the girls go during lunch. Have been going to this salon for about 2 years. Kevin the owner is a nice guy and does a great job. He's fast, efficient and competitively priced. I don't need or expect a 2-2.5 hour mani/pedi. Plus he has a nice sense of humor. Sunny is my clear favorite of all the girls. She's professional, good at what she does and is also concerned about your liking the work and you being comfortable. I have found that about most of the girls. And if I ever had a problem, I'd mention it to Kevin while it's happening and I'm sure he'd fix it or make good on it. Bright, clean, spanking new place. They have 6 mega comfy massage chairs and foot spas for pedicures. Otherwise pedicure is basically just like anywhere else. They don't use callus razors as I was informed they are illegal. They do have a callus bootcamp for $45 which maybe I'll give a try some time. Same thing for the mani as it is just like anywhere else. The basic pedicure at $35 is a little pricier than some places in the loop. BONUS: You can get a free membership card and they add 10% of the cost of your paid services to your card in which you accumulate to pay for future services. read more

Save your money and time...there are better places to go for a manicure! I came here after working out at my gym for a manicure - what I received wasn't even a polish change. I was told to look for Kevin, the owner, but didn't see him and a young lady took me. Just looking for a simple mani, umm, she cut and barely filed my nails, she didn't clean under the nail beds so my dirty nails remain from gardening, usually you receive a massage with lotion, not me - my lady slapped some lotion on and threw the hot towel over my hands, she didn't remove cuticles, and oh, even better, my nail polish was smeared because they put magazines where you place your hands so I smeared 3 nails.... I've removed the crappy polish and refiled my own nails....don't waste your time here. read more

My 8 year old daughter and I were going to get pedicures and my daughter wanted to sit in one of the children seat however they explained to me that my daughter was too large in size to sit in the children's pedicure chair. That being said. This place was the best place I have gone in a long time for a pedicure and no-chip manicure. Everyone was super accommodating and there was no rushing to get you out the door. I have been here 3 different times and was refused service every time. I am an African American working woman who happens to be employed across the street. I came in this last time hoping for different results. I came in and asked to make an appointment for a file down and a polish change, Julie advised they do not have file machines and it would take "too long" so she refused me service. This time I asked for owner information and I will make sure the people in my workplace, nor myself will patron this racist establishment. Hopefully Kevin will see this and be as disgusted with his employees as I am. They refuse black customers ALL THE TIME!!! No matter what service they ask for. I am very dissatisfied with my most recent experience here. My pedi and full set was rushed I was sent out with wet nails. I ended up losing all of my polish. While on vacation two days after my service here 4 nails popped off like press ons. I went back when I returned home and was only offered a few dollars off to repair the nails when I feel as though I should have been taken care of. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SALON !!!! read more

Just got my nails done here and really enjoyed my experience. I had to be out within the hour for my mani pedi and they took care of me quickly! One woman did my nails while the other did my toes. Both were so nice and personable. They also had a deal going where if you buy 2 polishes you get a free top coat, so I got that as well! I could tell all the people there wanted to make the experience enjoyable for their customers. I live right down the street so this will be my new go-to place. Great pedicures and service generally, really clean, nice massage chairs, and reasonably priced. My only complaint is that they don't slough enough dead skin off the bottoms of my feet/toes. But this is my new regular pedicure place and I shall frequent it often. Staff is really nice. Had a great experience here and my pedi turned out great. I told Becky I was timidly moving because I had back surgery a few weeks ago, but that it shouldn't effect the pedicure. She was beyond gentle when she moved my legs during the pedicure. I was so appreciative. I'm giving 4 instead of 5 stars because I tried calling before going and no answer.
