I'm writing this because I'm surprised to see a 4.7 when this should easily be a 5 -star rating. He's arguably the best I've ever had removing moles and other skin abnormalities without leaving a trace behind. As someone who is prone to keloids, I've never experienced that with him. I have followed him to two different offices and have recommended him to other friends who also say the same about him as well as other doctors and PA's within this group. Amazing doctor... he treated my daughter for eczema on her feet when she was just 6 years old... she is now 28! He was the ONLY doctor that was able to help her... he professionally educated the ignorant health care providers n administrators at my daughter's school and the school district... He went over and beyond what I could have thought it expected. He researched and found out what was causing her to have the flare ups and so severely. I attempted to make an appointment with a dermatologist at Erik's office but everyone was booked months ahead. The scheduler told me that their Physician's Assistant would be able to see me the following week and seeing him was basically the same as seeing one of the dermatologists there. I was a bit skeptical but took the appointment as I was experiencing some serious dry skin and lip issues that were very bothersome. My wait time was not long at all. Upon meeting Erik he was very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. He took his time to examine me and explain things to me. He gave some solutions and various options should the solutions not work. He sent some prescriptions to my pharmacy with no issues and recommended some over the counter lotions. One day I discovered painful red bumps all over my body.I never had them before, they just appeared all of a sudden.I went to the nearest emergency room, and the staff didn't know what the bumps were.They told me to take Benadryl , and charged me $1,250.00 for a totally worthless visit. I then went to a top notch Dermatoligist. He didn't know the problem, and prescribed an antibiotic which did nothing. His charge was $185.00 for the office visit. A friend then recommended I see his Dr. Eric Sorenson PA. He ordered a blood test, and gave me an injection. The red bumps started to go away right before my eyes. I was really happy and relieved.He was the best Doctor I have ever seen for for my ugly and painful problem. I absolutely love him. He is caring, gentle, thorough and attentive. I had a horrible rash for over a year that would not go away. He prescribed two ointments for me that were effective. My previous dermatologist, who I only saw once, Dr. Lee, was an arrogant, egotistical, little man who was referred by my GP and my GP never even knew him. He just happened to be on a list from their group. So be sure to check Yelp reviews. I never have to wait past my appointment time.The office staff and nurses are very friendly. I am changing my insurance to an HMO as our current one is so expensive. Their group does not accept SCAN. I am considering to continue to see him and pay cash as I am saving so much money on our new coverage. read more

Worst experience ever! This is my first ever review on Yelp as I would like to share my worst experience with you all. I went to Eric for the Eczema on my hand. He was knowledgeable. However, once I asked the front desk to get my prescription, they said they cannot give it to me bcz Eric sends the prescription to his specified pharmacy. Once the pharmacy called me, I found my medications are so expensive even if my insurance covers them. Then, I called them several times to send my prescription to another pharmacy. It took 10 days to get my prescription. They delayed in my treatment process only bcz they want me to get my medications from their own specified pharmacy. I think it is my right to have my prescriptions, no need to call them several times to get it. read more

Last Thursday, I came in to the clinic due to a suspicious mole on face. I was quite concerned it would be cancerous as the previous dermatologist in the morning had suspected. He suggested me another clinic to do the biopsy . However, no one answered the phone.... That's how I accidentally found this clinic on yelp. It was serendipity though! Erik happened to have a space that day and he was such a wonderful doctor. He calmed my nerves and removed the mole. I left the clinic with wonder. The past 4 months i have been dealing with a rash that has made me miserable. After seeing my regular dermatologist 4 times, trying cream after cream, changing shampoos, soaps, lotions etc, i had NO relief from the constant itching. This guy said I very likely had melanoma without any confirmation with an actual dermatologist, and without using any kind of scope to even properly examine me, then insisted I schedule a very invasive and complicated surgery. Thankfully, I went and saw someone a million times more qualified, who examined me properly and had two other dermatologists in the office confirm that what I had was not melanoma, and that this invasive procedure is entirely unnecessary. I cancelled the scheduled procedure well in advance of 24 hours, and they still insisted on charging me a cancellation fee! They are literally only after the money here. Save yourself the time and money and see someone who actually knows what they are doing, not just throwing out melanoma diagnoses willy nilly and scheduling you for invasive procedures to make a buck. read more

I have been under Erik's care for many years and I've always referred to him as Dr. I still remember the first visit I had with him, he assessed my situation and took immediate action. I'm talking at that very instant. This was years after desperately trying to get some sort of help from so-called doctors. Saw Eric Sorenson for the first time a few weeks ago and I was extremely impressed by his skills/expertise. Had just moved to town after my dermatologist in No. Calif treated a large infected/inflamed cyst, and told me to have the pocket removed in 6-8 weeks. Enter Eric, and not only was he very careful to ensure I felt absolutely no pain, but his cyst removal and sutury were tremendous. The office was also very accommodating when I couldn't get to them on time for the follow up appt due to airline cancellations, and they fit me in at the end of the day. I highly recommend this place! I had my first appointment today with Erik Sorensen & his medical assistant, Mo. I was worried that this office, being part of a large corporation, was going to be slow, rude, & greedy. I am happy to report it was quite the opposite! I came in & someone greeted me right away & got me started on new patient paperwork. I was called back before I was even able to fully complete my paperwork! As soon as I got back they asked what the reason for my visit was, less than 1 minute later, the physicians assistant was knocking on the door. Erik Sorensen was the best PA I've ever had. Told him my family history of skin cancer & that I was worried about a couple of moles. He did a thorough look of my body, told me which moles would be worth removing, & took pictures of the ones that I should keep an eye on. He answered all of my silly questions.
