Surgeon Kyle Song did my surgery when I was in my early 20s. Looking back now, I truly wish I had done more research before getting plastic surgery or had been more informed about breast augmentation in general. Unfortunately, I am still suffering from the results over 10 years later and cannot afford to repair the mistakes. I continue to have a double bubble issue on both breasts. After my first surgery, I experienced complications and developed a hematoma. I later went back in to fix the issues, but the outcome remained the same. What has been most difficult is that I was never offered a proper solution, revision support, or even a meaningful follow-up conversation about next steps. I paid over $8,000 for a surgery that has left me deeply insecure for more than a decade. I avoid bikinis, feel uncomfortable in my own body, and honestly feel heartbroken over the results. I have since consulted with other surgeons who explained that the implant placement was not done correctly, which likely contributed to the double bubble deformity and overall appearance. They also explained what would be required to repair the damage, but I simply cannot afford another $10,000 surgery. I am sharing this because, for years, I stayed quiet. I tried to be polite, not bother anyone, and even blamed myself. But now at 36, I've reached a breaking point and feel it's important to speak honestly about my experience. I hope women take the time to research thoroughly, meet with multiple surgeons and not go to the first surgeon they google like I did and ask difficult questions, and really think through their decision before moving forward. I rarely leave reviews and had to give Dr. Song and his incredible team the recognition they truly deserve! I have never had any surgery before and chose Dr. Song for my breast augmentation. I recently had a lower face and neck lift, and the experience was better than I imagined. I went in nervous, but the pain was milder than other procedures I've had. I did bleed quite a bit at first and stayed on top of my pain meds on schedule, which helped a lot. I opted for an IV antibiotic instead of days of oral antibiotics--so much easier post-anesthesia, since I only had to keep track of the pain medication. My results are fantastic. Dr. Song matched me almost exactly to the reference photo I brought in. His anesthesiologist is excellent--I felt great afterward, which was night and day compared to past experiences elsewhere. He doesn't have many public before-and-after photos of this particular procedure (most of us prefer privacy) which is why I wanted to leave this review. I found out about Dr. Song through two other women who had this procedure and both of them looked great and both had easy recoveries, as I did. Nurse Natalia is wonderful--caring, patient, and incredibly good at her job which made this also more comfortable as I was able to text with her and staff if I had any issues/questions post op. I went to a get-together 10 days after surgery of people I attended high school with decades prior, covered the bruises with makeup, and no one had a clue I had anything done. Everyone kept telling me I looked great even though I was swollen at the time. There's the expected swelling under the chin for the last two months (you feel it but you don't really see it much) and along the lower face and a few scars that I'm treating with silicone gel, but otherwise there's no sign I had anything done other than I look refreshed! Kyle Song harmed me in ways physically and psychologically that 10 years later I'm still trying to process Song's harm and fix; at tens of thousands required out of my pocket. Song feigned ignorance, excuses, and passive aggressive techniques. CLIENTS, DON'T FALL FOR SONG'S "GIVE IT A YEAR" to fully heal that he designates to every operation. One year is statute of limitation to sue in CA. Better yet, don't allow Song the opportunity to harm you then gaslight you. (AI: "It depends on the specifics, but yes, California law generally provides a one-year statute of limitations in many medical malpractice (including plastic surgeon) cases.") I'm seeking 4th surgeon for my nose; Song did so much harm. He said he ran out of material to build my nose mid operation. He has an excuse for everything. Everything he touched turned to complete .... I wouldn't let this man give my dog a haircut. He has no talent and weasels his way out of everything. I suffered A LOT due to Song. What very much physically looked in an avatar photo was one of Song's staff, who cyber bullied me on Y@lp; the one with the long thin face, blonde, (not Andi). Her avatar is her with her 2 teenage kids, male and female. I'm describing her avatar because her behavior was so cruel and unprofessional. I believe his father was... er... I'll say: compromised and giddy, when injecting my face midday once. His father would offer to s@distically put the image of my face, any client's face is my understanding, up on a large monitor screen and then mark everything "wrong" with it; like a mean girl sorority of misogyny. I had a breast reduction in 2024. I went from a full D to a small C with no implants. The result, and the standard of care was excellent. I couldn't have asked for better results. From start to finish I was handled with care. Everything was so organized and with every step I was informed with what was happening. I truly cannot say enough about how awesome Dr. Song and his entire team is (especially Nurse Natalia). I had a procedure in August 2023 am so happy with my results. There were a few minor things that I initially wasn't sure about, but they are such perfectionists and wanted me to be happy, so brought me back at no charge for a follow up procedure. My only regret is that I didn't do it 3 years sooner. Of all my visits to the office, pre and post op, not one single time did I wait more than 5 minutes. I am so pleased with Dr. Song's work! I had a full tummy tuck with an umbilical hernia repair (probably from three close-together pregnancies), and some liposuction of the flanks. This review is long overdue. I found Dr. Kyle Song through all the wonderful yelp reviews, and I must say, all off the reviews on here are spot on accurate. I came for a consultation back in October 2016. My saline breast implant ruptured and leaked 2 months prior. That surgery was done by another plastic surgeon back in August 2011. The minute I met Dr. Kyle, I felt important and immediately comfortable with his easy demeanor and vast depth of knowledge of his practice. After my questions, I then went to Andi. She was great. After she revealed the price of everything, I signed up. Fast forward, the anesthesiologist and doctor performed my surgery. I've gotta say, after the surgery part, it felt like a breeze. I felt refreshed and not groggy. Hardly any pain, and nor nauseous. They can both knock me out anytime with that experience. To this present day, the results are fabulous. I'm extremely happy with my outcome, and I consider Dr. Kyle Song my main plastic surgeon now. You bet I'm coming back to them. I most highly recommend him!! Also, the entire staff is awesome!! I just completed my entire process of breast implant removal surgery / breast lift with Dr. Song. I have to say that it was the BEST experience and I am so happy. Not only was the staff amazing, friendly, helpful and available - I am SO please with my surgery results. I decided to have my implants removed after a decade with them in and was worried what they would look like after. I am so happy with the results - they are perfect and Dr Song is obviously very skilled at what he does because my recovery was not bad at all and the scars are minimal and thin. I am a new man! Dr. Qureshi recently preformed gynecomastia surgery on me. I have had gynecomastia (man boobs) since my teenage years. I am now 50 and ready to retire within 5 years. after going to several consultations with many well praised surgeons in OC, i decided to go with Dr. Song and i am SO GLAD I DID. he was the last doctor i saw and also the only one that truly made me feel at ease and helped me decide on what it is that i was looking for without trying to pressure me on something different. i scheduled my procedure months in advance and was nervously anticipating the day as it got closer. needless to say i was a complete nervous wreck the week before and had a ton of unsure questions. Tummy tuck was the best money I ever spent, so happy with Dr. Song & South Coast Plastic Surgery! I cannot express fully how happy and thankful I am to have been a patient of Dr. Song! After being heavy as a teen and in college, I changed my lifestyle and got healthy, losing around 100lbs in 2013-14. Losing the weight made me a smaller size, and some parts of my body looked great, but my stomach was always a horrible problem area. The more weight I lost, the more the skin on my tummy sagged. I made the decision this year to finally go through with a tummy tuck, while I was still in my 20s and could really enjoy the results of my thinner physique before having children, etc. I did tons of research on doctors for months, consulting with my aunt who is a doctor. I met with 5 surgeons, but what struck my most about Dr. Song was how open he was to answering my questions, explaining the complexities of how his tummy tuck procedure differed from other doctors, etc. It was refreshing to meet a surgeon who was not only passionate and knowledgable about what he does, but was willing to sit and answer all my tough questions (and believe me, after all the research and cost comparison I did, I had a LOT of questions and really knew my stuff!) My daughter had breast reduction surgery in March and I can't say enough about Dr. Song and his office...but I'll try! Dr. Song took extraordinary care of my daughter before, during and after her procedure. She is only 25 and had very large breasts that gave her back and shoulder pain. After meeting with 2 other doctors first, I knew I found the right doctor for me when I met Dr. Kyle Song. His office is immaculate and calming and reflects the quality and professionalism of all the staff. I saw Dr Song after having a capsular contracture with my implants I had placed 11 years ago by a different surgeon. I finally came to the decision to have them removed after my body rejecting multiple capsulectomies. After doing my homework I selected 3 surgeons. I had to wait a month to see Dr. Song but I am so happy I waited. Dr. Song is kind, professional and very detail oriented. He immediately saw the mistakes my previous surgeon made and addressed them all during my surgery. I couldn't be happier with the result. For the record my previous surgeon was right on the water in Newport Beach; I am saying this because most women including myself think that the best surgeons are either in Newport Beach or Beverly Hills. Not only Dr. Song is undeniably talented but also he is very honest. The two other surgeons I interviewed (both surgeons are located in Newport Beach) said I needed a crescent lift which of course implies additional cost but also additional scars!!! Dr. Song was the only one who said it was unnecessary and he's right! His price is also extremely fair. After surgery they were right there making sure I was comfortable and ok, not making me feel rushed to wake up and leave. Recovery has been great! Dr Song followed up with me the night of surgery and the next day to make sure everything was going well and that I was feeling good as well. A week after surgery I had a question/concern and was able to get a response from Dr Song personally with an answer. This is an overdue review for Kyle Song. I went to see Dr.Song to repair a torn earlobe that I'd had for a while. I had gotten another consultation with another doctor prior to my consult with Dr. Song but instantly felt comfortable as Dr. Song established a great rapport with his patients and made me feel at ease while explaining the procedure and what to expect. The cost of the procedure was $250, about half the price of other places I looked at. However, the quality was amazing. He fixed my earlobe and adjusted it without hesitating during a follow up session when I had a slight issue with the stitching angle. He repierced my ears during another follow up session and was super patient when the earrings I brought were a little difficult to put in. He was always attentive and gave me personalized attention during each visit until the process was over. I healed as scheduled and now you can not even tell that it was ever torn in the first place. He is a consummate professional yet very personable and friendly. Also, a special shoutout to the receptionist Andrea. She is the sweetest person, on top of scheduling and getting back to me, and I loved talking to her. She made me feel very welcome upon entering the office and was super personable as well. All I can say is....amazing! From start to finish, Dr. Song and staff really went above and beyond. Without getting too much into detail, I researched plastic surgeons in the OC area to fix problems from a prior surgery....I came across Dr. Song and I followed his practice on IG. From the initial consult, to the pre-op, surgery and post-op, these lovely people exceeded every expectation. My results are looking amazing, and I'm only 1 weeks out!!! Dr Kyle has gone above and beyond to give me the results I'm looking for. I had a seriously stubborn "squint" line mid-forehead from years of squinting. He started with laser and fat transfer, which helped, but not enough. He has provide several other treatments, including collagen tissue transfer and will also be doing a resurfacing in a couple of weeks. All of this with no extra charge to me! It's wonderful that he's so passionate about helping you and giving you the best results possible! He's also very professional, yet also very sincere, friendly and welcoming.
