    Seasonal Cocktail Menu Front

Came here on a Saturday night at 8pm with a live band playing. Highly recommend making a reservation, as it does get packed quickly. They gave me the option of a low or high table. I asked for a low one. They did warn me that the low tables are closer to the front where the speakers are. We were placed right in front of all the high tables and on the dance floor. We were literally right in front of the stage with a speaker above us. Just be prepared as it is always blasting it loud here and hard to talk to one another in general without screaming during late nights. All the food we got was delicious and loaded right up. Awesome portation sizes. I do find their menu to be on the higher side (10inch pizza for $20). I love the seasonal drink variety they offer for festive switch ups, too. They even have a mocktail section. Our server was great and stayed on top of everything with a smile.

Gave it another chance. Waitress Lily was very slow. Dropped our food off and didn't return to check in. We all needed things for our food. We ordered butter for waffles (never got it), sauces, etc. Chicken and waffles were a miss. Bloody bar was lacking. No waters for the table. Spent her time at the bar talking to the bartender. Sadly couldn't hear the guy performing on the stage. :( He was good. I think? Felt bad he was talking and no one could hear! Oh well.

I will also say knowing this is a sports bar like spot I didn't have the highest expectations to begin with. Which I appreciate when a spot surprises me and blows those expectations out of the water. That did not occur here! It was our second choice for dinner tonight due to our first spot having a wait. So firstly for a positive I will say Deck House does have ample parking and lots of space for people to eat so that's a plus. Also if you are looking for a classic sports bar vibes with many tvs on the walls and plenty of bar seats this may be your spot to catch a game with friends. Overall for our experience service was slow, they were friendly it just took a long time for food and other tables received their food much faster after shorter waits. My wife got the Braised Beef Short Rib and it was cooked well and was extremely tender, she enjoyed it very much. I got the Lobster Mac which was good but much smaller than I expected and some lobster pieces were tough due to their large size. Our meals and then two margaritas which were decent were almost $100. We did get some of the more expensive meals off the menu but I do believe for the price we could get better food elsewhere. I'm glad we tried it but nothing would be worth revisiting for. Hopefully if you visit you have a better experience!

It was Blues Jam on Sunday and an older crowd of locals. Great music from several bands each playing a set. The waitstaff was friendly and helpful with drink orders and food choices. If you like cider, go for the Downeast Cider on draft - delicious and not overly sweet. Special on Sunday of $9 Bud Light pitchers. We mainly came in for lunch more so than for drinks. Another Sunday special is $.95 apiece wings. We got 8 extra crispy with the sweet chili sauce. Highly recommend! Main entree was a cheeseburger with grilled onions, mushrooms, and peppers with side of onion rings, and hubby had a Reuben with sweet potato fries. The burger was small but really good. Onion rings were crispy and not greasy. The Reuben was crisp on outside with good flavor. Although the portions weren't huge, you couldn't beat the price at $9.95 per meal. Everything is made to order by Ron in the back. If you are in a hurry for your meal and not planning to sit around and drink for the afternoon, just tell your waitress and I'm sure things will come out faster for you. Would come back again!

That being said, the male staff members are unbelievably sexist every time I go. I've gotten hit on by the bartender who proceeded to get my order wrong and tell the random man standing next to me that "chicks can be so god damn annoying" when I asked him to grab the drink I ordered from the fridge behind him. The bouncer told me a couple of days ago when i was at the front of the line that "with that kind of behavior you'll never find a husband." Old railroad tracks, working class roots, this old bar, an improv blues night and the audience, plentiful. Scrunchies still adorning the copper highlighted ponytails of overly tanned women in their thirties. Everyone slightly off and no one fashionable except the musicians, clearly high timing in a small town, fedoras just so. Cartoon lobsters with shades on, off brand track pants and the requisite new England lack of eye contact. How long have you been sitting on that barstool, sir - how many years? 7/8/11 This ain't new York city, or LA, no. Mr bluesman you are correct, here in this dark, seedy, working class dive where all that matters is your improvised words, notes, sonic bliss... Sold for free to the tired citizens of a worn out, angelic town, built on industry, dripping with soul. Reverberate off the walls, this old bar, the cathedral across the street. Reverberate the two odd centuries of strife, of worn hands, of working the mills. Lewiston has the blues.
