Never answers phone. Skimp, overpriced tacos. Could've been ok but can never place order.

Came here craving curry chicken and it didn't disappoint. There is ample seating when you walk in,…read morethe place was empty for us. We ordered at the register using ( Inkind ) iykyk. I ordered the curry chicken with plantain & rice. My niece ordered the oxtails with rice & peas. The meal came out to almost $50 for two including the soda. There was a bit of a wait for my plantains she told us beforehand but I was almost done by the time I got them. The portions are big and the curry chicken was good. I would definitely order from here again.

The woman taking my order (sorry, I didn't catch her name) was gracious about changing my order after we realized the inKind app wasn't working. I opted for the jerk chicken, plaintains, and (Caribbean) potato salad, which was a first for me! The woman let me know ahead of time that the potato salad had a pink coloring due to the beets used in it; I'm glad she told me, atherwise the color would've taken my by surprise. I could barely taste the beets, but the relish and mayo were great combos. The rice was super fluffy, though the chicken was a bit bony and not as plentfiul as I am accustomed to when ordering from other Jamaican establishments. I dined in so was able to see the in and out traffic; it appears that they have steady customers, which is always a good sign! The overall vibe is super casual.

I've heard it's the jerk dishes that bring people in so I made my way to the Palace to see what all…read morethe fuss was about. The food was flavorful. I ordered the salmon fried rice, oxtails and the jerk chicken egg rolls. My husband ordered the curry goat with rice and peas. We both shared some candied yams and a side of plantain. We ordered a variety to get a good feel. Turns out we were both satisfied with everything. The food is tasty and well seasoned. If you're looking for a place to kick it with some friends this is a cool weekend spot. There's a DJ that plays on certain nights, the drinks are decent, the lively atmosphere keeps you engaged and entertained. One thing to know, you can't call in your order nor place it online which is very inconvenient. You have to go in, so be prepared to wait a while for your order.

Between the two of us, we tried the jerk chicken eggrolls, beef patty, oxtail plate (rice and peas + mac & cheese), jerk lamb chops + mac & cheese. Everything was flavorful & close to authentic as possible ! We sat inside but the patio seems like a great option right now before it gets too hot. Even then, the patio is well equipped with fans to help cool you down. It seems like a hot spot especially for brunch or Sunday funday so I'll be back!

It's much more spacious inside. Lucian's staff seem kind and hospitable, but communication among staff to the customers was lacking. Their menu doesn't just contain Jerky chicken and shrimp, they also have meat patties, Jerk burgers, chicken sandwiches, curry, wings, coco bread, pasta, fried chicken, fish dishes, curried potatoes, fried plantains, rice and beans, and other chicken dishes. They only serve one kind of soup, Red Pepper. Lucian's also serves oxtail and goat, but I personally REFUSE to devour that kind of livestock! The menu has affordable prices. Lucian's are sports fanatics, noted by their collection of flags and their TVs only shows sports. Yes, they also offer champagne and spiked sodas for those of you who drink (NOT me). They have a small stage inside for live music performances! Our food was excellent, but they were out of a lot dishes that day, and it wasn't busy at all! The staff accidentally overcharged my friend's order, so she had to go the front desk to straighten things out. Lucian's Caribbean Grill needs to focus more on time, management, organization, and communication.

Thank god we found this!…read more After finishing our lunch at Wrap & Roll, we saw this out of the corner of the eye and decided to stop here as the girlfriend was looking for some caribbean snacks. Being from St Croix island in the Virgin Islands, seeing the menu and taking in the smells of this place gave her memories of back home. Of course I was happy to indulge her request as it gave me an opportunity to try some handheld eats. First the beef pattie, pretty big and so savory with the meat melting in your mouth and the dough having a nice texture and crust. And then the saheena; OMG! It was my first time having this lovely pastry which is made of chickpeas, spinach, and caribbean spices. You'll be hooked on this after one bite. Texture was similar to a savory piece of cornbread. Of course I was very happy with this item. The girlfriend ordered a currant roll which had some sweetness to it with a flaky crust. I enjoyed it but not as much as I was scarfing down my beef pattie and saheena. They also serve traditional caribbean eats including jerk chicken, oxtails, bake & saltfish, and roti wraps. We noticed a lot of people place to go orders here and call ahead for pick up. There were several bags of eats waiting as we witnessed people roll in and pick them up while having small talk with the owners. All those items looked delicious and we plan to come back and try those out. We also talked to the owners for a bit, they're a husband/wife team who've owned/operated this place for a while. Super polite and gracious, they helped me navigate the menu and explained what the items would be like when I ordered. Sadly I could not get the Aloo Pie (sold out) but they assured me it's worth having and to come back and try it (which we will). Pearland is lucky to have this place here. Definitely recommend trying it out for yourself!

My first visit here, it's been on my list since the carribean spot near me in Richmond closed down…read more Food: Love, love the peppery/spicy seasoning on the curry chicken & cabbage. Gotta admit the spiciness had my tongue tingling & my nose running but it wasn't overpoweringly spicy. Btw. I didn't request spicy, that's just how it came. Cabbage and rice & peas were tasty, standard accompaniments. My hubby got the curry goat and it too was very tasty but what got my attention was how tender the goat was! To me, the goat seemed just a little less spicy so the chicken spice level may be just how they cooked the batch that day. Upon entering, I thought it was just a takeout place because I didn't see any tables or seating. While waiting on my food, I discovered a whole other large room with seating, full bar & stage! So takeout or dine-in is definitely an option. It's a little bit of a drive for me but I would definitely return.

This was my first time coming to the food truck park and I especially came because of this truck. The staff was so nice I really contemplated about this rating for this review, but when I think about the amount of money paid for my main entree and how I couldn't eat half of it and the spice levels didn't match my expectation, I came to this. A 3.5 would have been more accurate quite honestly but alas, yelp has its system. I ordered the bake and fried fish and the doubles. I asked for spicy on the doubles but they didn't taste too spicy - instead I used the sauce included on my bake n fish (possibly had some scotch bonnet peppers) and it was excellent. The bake and fish came as tacos - I don't think I realized that. It was good, but only two small tacos. The french fries were unfortunately burnt and therefore dry and inedible. I gave up on eating them. We were in a hurry, otherwise, I would have chatted with the staff about possibly getting some new fries. I would give this another try --I'd likely try a few other trucks first or at least have something to accompany my meal in addition to what I order from Krave.
