Found lots of positive reviews for Ermitage online and we couldn't have been happier we did! We ordered a Rolex to ship to California and they shipped it SO incredibly fast. It got to us basically 2 days after ordering. The watch was in even better condition than it seemed online. Customer service was also fantastic. Apparently google prefill had messed with my address, and I'm glad they called to verify. They also presized the watch for us, and even told us that if we need to, we can always order a pin removal tool from amazon also. That's honestly unheard of from a watch shop. A few notes to keep in mind: some of their watches are customized after market! They say it in the description but it may not be as obvious if you don't read. Watches are a big investment so hopefully you read listings thoroughly to make sure you get what you think you're getting--they literally don't hide any of the info. Also, when you order online, they will ask for a photo of your card for security (with numbers covered) and your ID if you are out of state. IMO this is a great verification method, but take note if that's not something you're comfortable with. read more

The female greeter asked what I was there for and I said to see about selling some diamonds. I went in with 0.5 and 1 carat diamonds and some smaller. She said the owner would be the one to help me. Over the years we had purchased some Rolex watches for various occasions. Recently we realized we weren't wearing some of them and decided to consider selling three. We went to our local Rolex dealer who provided an offer that didn't seem adequate. I checked eBay and confirmed that the watches were worth more, but I was uneasy with that method of selling. Next stop was the internet and I found Ermitage as well as other similar operations. The process with Ermitage seemed simple, their Yelp and BBB ratings were good, so I tried them on one watch and found that they gave a very good price and showed a sense of urgency, which I appreciated. Ermitage became my benchmark and I tried two others. One was in the local area but wanted me to bring the watch to the store. With Covad virus that didn't make sense. The other gave a lower price, but I discovered that they were really a middleman for other dealers. Decided to go with Ermitage and the whole process from sending them the photos of the watch, their estimate, our agreement and the money hitting my account took just a few days. Needless to say I asked for estimates on two other Rolex watches. I received estimates the next day, they sent Fedex labels, two days later they confirmed the prices and I received confirmation of the funds being wired within an hour. Finally, I had a chat with the owner, Peter. I discovered that he started his career as a watchmaker and repairman. He loves watches and is passionate about Rolex, since he worked for them. We discussed his pricing model and he knows that he can sit on a watch for months and get a high price, but chooses to move his inventory more quickly. I recommend them highly. read more

Excellent selection of pre owned stainless Rolex watches, the best I've seen. Several Submariners and Yacht Masters at correct prices. Other establishments I was working with were making these watches out to be literally impossible to find and charging the maximum prices in the market. Not here, they have a lot to choose from. Every watch I was interested in came with box, booklets and warranty card, some even have service papers accompanying them. All are in excellent or near mint condition. The staff is great. Veronika had me laughing with her great personality and was knowledgeable, easy to talk to and work with. Liz was also great through the whole experience, giving me exact details on what they have, and what they are getting in. Very detail oriented and organized with the particulars of their inventory. I ended up being interested in something that wasn't currently in store and due to her thoroughness was able to find the exact watch I was looking for. Purchased a Rolex online with them and while the watch is beautiful, the cost was right and it works they neglected to tell me that the watch bezel was not an original piece and Rolex will not service my watch as is. I only found this out when I brought my watch into a Rolex dealer to have some links removed. How disappointed I was to hear this. Ermitage should have disclosed this information before I spend such a large amount of money. I will not be able to have my watch serviced by Rolex, they will take off the bezel and not replace it and no dealer or watch repairmen associated with Rolex will replace it either! read more
