I had the pleasure of working with Romain "Ro" Wright in purchasing my first Rolex. He was really knowledgeable and really quite nice. We chatted on the phone, and he was texting me options. I made an appointment to see my top two to make a decision, and drove to the showroom. He alone was 5-Stars! The one thing I wasn't expecting was how other associates and the shop treat people (hence subtracting 1 star). I arrived, went through the armed security, and someone greeted me and told me Ro was finishing up with someone on the phone. They offered me water, and told me to wait until Ro was ready for me. So I stood at the counter watching the operation. You're NOT allowed to look around the very impressive and beautiful showroom. They have stanchions blocking off the passage to the showcases. OK...that's fine...I won't walk around. But the one-star deduction came from me standing at the counter waiting, and simply looking to my left at the watches in the showcase there. I was told VERY AGGRESSIVELY and RUDELY that I was NOT ALLOWED to look at any of the watches in the cases, and to step to my right. I was like, whoa...that's a bit much. Like, WHY have a showcase at all if you can't even glance that way? I'm incredibly happy with the watch I purchased. Ro was AMAZING! I purchased a moon phase Patek from SWE in June. Unfortunately, the watch was not functional and I had to return the watch less than 60 days later. Specifically, the date swing arm didn't work properly. On June 30, the date arm swung back to 19 vs 1. I informed SWE and they had me send the watch back for repair. They "repaired" the watch and sent it back to me. On July 31, the date arm swung back to only 19 again. They had me send the watch back for repair again. After 2 weeks in the repair shop, SWE could not give me a timeframe for repair. All they could offer was that the watch was a priority with their Patek watch master, the watch was under review and the watch was extremely complicated. I finally asked and received a full refund although that process was not overly customer friendly. At the end of the day, the issue with the watch should have been caught by the QC team in the pre-certification process and the watch should have never been offered for sale. I can not recommend SWE. read more

In reading Swiss Watch Expo's return policies and Customer Service level, I can tell you that this is not the case. I purchased a Cartier watch which was in great shape so I planned on keeping it. However, the first time I put it on, I knew right away that the watch wouldn't lay flat on my wrist unless it was all the way to one side or the other. I called the merchant to discuss an exchange for a different watch in the same price range. I was told rather abruptly that SWE would NOT consider an exchange. They tried telling me the watch had been worn when it hadn't been worn for more than the 3 minutes I had it on to determine it wasn't the right watch. I have done business with Swiss Watch Expo over the years, but I will never go back because of how I have been treated. Please be mindful that their return policy says one thing, but they act a different way. read more

The website is very accessible with a lot of filters to narrow down one's search for the perfect pre-owned watch. Sales people are super-responsive and friendly. I have now had multiple experiences using the FaceTime option to meet with a sales person and see my prospective purchase from all angles, including on someone's wrist! Globally, I have had nothing but great experiences with SWE. My only reservations (hence 4 stars), are that, at least for pre-owned Rolexes, there is never any original paperwork included. Nor are their additional links included. For instance, the watchband of an expensive watch I recently purchased had clearly been shortened and yet upwards of 4-6 links that were taken out were not included. Although I claim no expertise, I also think SWE prices are a bit on the high side. I purchase from them because of reputation and the security of the sale over perhaps less trustworthy/reputable sellers. I guess the premium is for that sense of security. read more

Update (after business response): Thank you for your response. To clarify, our concern was not a misunderstanding about "wrist shape" or general fit. We took the extra step of scheduling a FaceTime call specifically to confirm sizing before purchasing. During that call, your salesperson used a measuring device and assured us that both watches would fit. That representation is what we relied on. Additionally, the issue goes beyond fit. The bracelets themselves measured shorter than what was documented on the certificates provided. The attached photos show the discrepancy between the stated measurements and the actual length of the watches as received. We also want to clarify that the refund was not "immediately corrected." It required multiple follow-ups via email, text, and phone before the missing $2,000 was addressed. All items were returned in the same condition in which they were received and were accepted without issue. We appreciate the acknowledgment of responsibility, but the combination of inaccurate documentation, incorrect sizing assurances, and the difficulty in resolving these issues is what led to our experience. read more

They say when you buy a vintage watch, you're not actually buying the watch but you're buying the dealer. Stay away from SwissWatchExpo As a Georgia Tech alumni I was thrilled by the idea that I could purchase my very first non-AD watch from a shop based in Atlanta which appeared to have good reviews. Unfortunately, THIS WILL BE THE LAST TIME I ever buy from SwissWatchExpo as this experience was one of the most scammy and untrustworthy purchases I have ever made. In May I found a vintage watch that I was interested in and initiated a video call to verify the condition of the watch. I asked to specifically look at the condition of the bezel paint and it looked vividly dark from several angles. When I received the watch a few days later I was shocked to see that the watch looked completely different from the listing (SEE PICTURES ON GOOGLE MAPS REVIEW). There were many other anomalies such as the fact the listing has a black date wheel but the model is known to only have an all red date wheel. IS the watch in the picture REALLY the actual watch as you have stated? Certainly doesn't seem like it. After some time with the watch I also discovered it was fast by a noticeable margin. I even travelled to Atlanta from the west coast and made an appointment in early June to face the staff at SwissWatchExpo directly (I've read the reviews and I know they don't like walk-ins). They saw I was not falling for their scam and the manager Ro took back the watch to fix and make it right. This was almost a month ago and they did not reach out to me a single time for an update. They don't respond to messages and they still have my watch. One last note: the sales person Josh did show me around the store and I expressed interest in a Brucewayne GMT. He suggested that I purchase a Green arrow with the black bezel and switch it out with a fake BrucewayneGMT bezel myself. Telling me that as a joke (?) is definitely not putting my mind at ease when I was basically served the equivalent of a catfish. All of my conversations and my in person visit were recorded so everything said here can be verified. To all my fellow Georgia Tech Alum and anyone who doesn't want to be a victim of a BAIT AND SWITCH or to be FILLED WITH DOUBTS about your purchase, STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS. The social media managers will likely try to explain away the situation with excuses but this was ultimately a breach of trust, breach of contract, breach of express warranty ("actual watch for sale"), and deceptive business practices and they know it. read more

For example, the watch described as having a brown ombré dial appeared entirely different in person, where the depth and gradation of color were evident. Similarly, the larger diamonds on the platinum watch had a significantly stronger visual impact than the smaller ones on the gold watches, which was not apparent in photographs. The salesperson agreed that these distinctions are difficult to capture online and that in-person viewing is essential. It is their business, and obviously, they can run it as they please. But they were hostile to me, and based on my review of their responses to complaints about the business, contempt for their customers seems to be in their DNA. I started examining the facts. 1. The Salesman admitted to me that it is primarily an online business and that in-store sales are inconvenient. 2. The interrogation about whether I had ever visited the store, and later admission that it was because of the lifetime one-store visit policy. I was told this before the visit, when I was setting up my appointment. Angela, you lied in your response. I abided by your policy of one lifetime visit and did not ask for another appointment. 3. The three-watch viewing limit. I did not ask to see more watches at the store. I abided by your limit. Once again, you are lying, Angela. They are creating the illusion of a retail store to give online customers a false sense of confidence. While I had initially imagined purchasing multiple watches from SWE, my experience prompted me to research the company's reputation more thoroughly. In doing so, I reviewed customer feedback on Yelp and complaints filed with the Better Business Bureau. The volume and nature of these complaints raised concerns, but more troubling to me--as a consumer protection attorney--were the responses provided. Some responses were inconsistent and seemed reluctant to resolve valid customer concerns. One response, for example, simultaneously denied the existence of a contract while later relying on contractual provisions. I also noted that SWE is not a BBB-accredited business, which raises additional questions regarding adherence to BBB standards for trust and consumer protection. In the end, I am grateful that I discovered these issues before making any purchase. The experience allowed me to make a more informed decision. Anecdote Of the five watches I wanted to see, which I had been watching on their site for the past six months, two had vanished from the site and then reappeared two or three weeks later--as "JUST IN." I'm not sure whether SWE removed old stock from the website and marked it as "JUST IN," or whether customers purchased and returned these two watches. They did reuse the same stock number. Between my subscriptions to Everywatch and Watch Charts, and my frequent monitoring of watches on Chrono24, eBay, and Swisswatchexpo, this was easy to spot. Look at SWE stock number 73284; it has been on eBay since September 11, 2025, but SWE claimed on its website that it was "JUST IN" on February 24, 2026. Look at stock number 73281. On the website, they claimed it was "JUST IN" on February 10, 2026, but it has been on eBay since October 15, 2025. After 30 days, SWE takes off the "Just In" designation and the date.
