I had the pleasure of working with Romain "Ro" Wright in purchasing my first Rolex. He was really knowledgeable and really quite nice. We chatted on the phone, and he was texting me options. I made an appointment to see my top two to make a decision, and drove to the showroom. He alone was 5-Stars! The one thing I wasn't expecting was how other associates and the shop treat people (hence subtracting 1 star). I arrived, went through the armed security, and someone greeted me and told me Ro was finishing up with someone on the phone. They offered me water, and told me to wait until Ro was ready for me. So I stood at the counter watching the operation. You're NOT allowed to look around the very impressive and beautiful showroom. They have stanchions blocking off the passage to the showcases. OK...that's fine...I won't walk around. But the one-star deduction came from me standing at the counter waiting, and simply looking to my left at the watches in the showcase there. I was told VERY AGGRESSIVELY and RUDELY that I was NOT ALLOWED to look at any of the watches in the cases, and to step to my right. I was like, whoa...that's a bit much. Like, WHY have a showcase at all if you can't even glance that way? I'm incredibly happy with the watch I purchased. Ro was AMAZING! I want to clarify my perspective following my recent interactions with SWE. Although I first felt let down by what seemed like impolite behavior, I now appreciate having gone through that experience. Over the past six months, I visited SWE's website multiple times daily, including while traveling internationally, because I was genuinely interested in their inventory. I was particularly enthusiastic about SWE and even recommended the business to a colleague, contrasting it favorably with other retailers. However, my in-person visit made clear how insufficient online photographs can be when evaluating luxury watches. For example, the watch described as having a brown ombré dial appeared entirely different in person, where the depth and gradation of color were evident. Similarly, the larger diamonds on the platinum watch had a significantly stronger visual impact than the smaller ones on the gold watches, which was not apparent in photographs. The salesperson agreed that these distinctions are difficult to capture online and that in-person viewing is essential. It is their business, and obviously, they can run it as they please. But they were hostile to me, and based on my review of their responses to complaints about the business, contempt for their customers seems to be in their DNA. I started examining the facts. 1. The Salesman admitted to me that it is primarily an online business and that in-store sales are inconvenient. 2. The interrogation about whether I had ever visited the store, and later admission that it was because of the lifetime one-store visit policy. I was told this before the visit, when I was setting up my appointment. Angela, you lied in your response. I abided by your policy of one lifetime visit and did not ask for another appointment. 3. The three-watch viewing limit. I did not ask to see more watches at the store. I abided by your limit. Once again, you are lying, Angela. They are creating the illusion of a retail store to give online customers a false sense of confidence. While I had initially imagined purchasing multiple watches from SWE, my experience prompted me to research the company's reputation more thoroughly. In doing so, I reviewed customer feedback on Yelp and complaints filed with the Better Business Bureau. The volume and nature of these complaints raised concerns, but more troubling to me--as a consumer protection attorney--were the responses provided. Some responses were inconsistent and seemed reluctant to resolve valid customer concerns. One response, for example, simultaneously denied the existence of a contract while later relying on contractual provisions. I also noted that SWE is not a BBB-accredited business, which raises additional questions regarding adherence to BBB standards for trust and consumer protection. In the end, I am grateful that I discovered these issues before making any purchase. The experience allowed me to make a more informed decision. Anecdote Of the five watches I wanted to see, which I had been watching on their site for the past six months, two had vanished from the site and then reappeared two or three weeks later--as "JUST IN." I'm not sure whether SWE removed old stock from the website and marked it as "JUST IN," or whether customers purchased and returned these two watches. They did reuse the same stock number. Between my subscriptions to Everywatch and Watch Charts, and my frequent monitoring of watches on Chrono24, eBay, and Swisswatchexpo, this was easy to spot. Look at SWE stock number 73284; it has been on eBay since September 11, 2025, but SWE claimed on its website that it was "JUST IN" on February 24, 2026. Look at stock number 73281. On the website, they claimed it was "JUST IN" on February 10, 2026, but it has been on eBay since October 15, 2025. After 30 days, SWE takes off the "Just In" designation and the date. In reading Swiss Watch Expo's return policies and Customer Service level, I can tell you that this is not the case. I purchased a Cartier watch which was in great shape so I planned on keeping it. However, the first time I put it on, I knew right away that the watch wouldn't lay flat on my wrist unless it was all the way to one side or the other. I called the merchant to discuss an exchange for a different watch in the same price range. I was told rather abruptly that SWE would NOT consider an exchange. They tried telling me the watch had been worn when it hadn't been worn for more than the 3 minutes I had it on to determine it wasn't the right watch. I have done business with Swiss Watch Expo over the years, but I will never go back because of how I have been treated. Update (after business response): Thank you for your response. To clarify, our concern was not a misunderstanding about "wrist shape" or general fit. We took the extra step of scheduling a FaceTime call specifically to confirm sizing before purchasing. During that call, your salesperson used a measuring device and assured us that both watches would fit. That representation is what we relied on. Additionally, the issue goes beyond fit. The bracelets themselves measured shorter than what was documented on the certificates provided. The attached photos show the discrepancy between the stated measurements and the actual length of the watches as received. We also want to clarify that the refund was not "immediately corrected." It required multiple follow-ups via email, text, and phone before the missing $2,000 was addressed. All items were returned in the same condition in which they were received and were accepted without issue. We appreciate the acknowledgment of responsibility, but the combination of inaccurate documentation, incorrect sizing assurances, and the difficulty in resolving these issues is what led to our experience. read more

I had a very disappointing experience with Swiss Watch Expo at their Atlanta showroom and would caution potential buyers. Before visiting, I selected six watches from their inventory that I wanted to see in person. I was informed that their policy allowed only a 30-minute appointment and that I would be limited to viewing three watches. Because I live several hours away and would be driving roughly eight hours round trip (about 500 miles), I explained that I was not comfortable making that trip to see only three watches. After that discussion, they agreed to make an exception and allow me to view four watches. The next morning I began my drive to Atlanta. About 200 miles into the trip and roughly one hour before my scheduled appointment, I received a call informing me that they had changed their mind and that I would again be limited to three watches. I explained that we had already agreed on four given the distance I was traveling, but I was told that the decision had been changed and that I could either come look at three or not come at all. Since I had already driven two hours, I continued to the appointment. Within the first few minutes of my allotted 30-minute viewing time, it became clear that the three watches I had selected based only on photos were likely too large or heavy for my wrist. I explained that the fourth watch that had been removed from the list might actually be the best fit and mentioned that I was seriously considering a purchase in the ~$10,000 range. Despite still having about 27 minutes remaining in the appointment, they refused to show me the fourth watch and stated that their policy limited the viewing to three watches. In decades of purchasing luxury items and dealing with many high-end retailers, I have never experienced customer service like this. Given the circumstances and the distance traveled, the refusal to show one additional watch during the remaining appointment time was extremely disappointing. I ultimately chose not to do business with them and will purchase from another dealer, even if it costs more. For a purchase at this price level, customer service and flexibility matter. Ok on the sale, terrible on the follow up. I ended up purchasing the watch because of the rarity of the watch relative to availability in the market. You can be the judge based on the timeline below. 3/10/26 - I called SWISSWATCHEXPO to facetime to see to two JLC Reversos live and get put in touch with Ro Wright (he proceeds to share that he was previously with JLC for 8+ years). Ro takes me on a virtual tour of the facilities to create a sense of comfort. During our review I ask him if he can grab another watch so I can see a side-by-side comparison for size reference of which he responds, "how serious are you about purchasing a watch". (a question I thought to be a bit rude) I told him I plan on buying one in the next 10 minutes. He puts me on hold and grabs the watch, we do a further review, I decide to pull the trigger, then he walks me through purchasing it online. I call back later in the day to ask him if he can tell me what the lug-to-lug width of the watch is and he says, "let me find out, and I'll get back to you" He does not get back to me. 3/12/26 - I receive the watch and open it up for an inspection. The case, watch, and strap are in excellent condition. I do however notice the clasp connected to the non-buckle end is not straight but don't think too much of it. I try it on and adjust the strap on the clasp, and it snaps at the weld point. 3/13/26 - I called SWISSWATCHEXPO and asked to speak to Ro. I explained the situation, asked if he could help, and he requested I email photos of the failure point so he can discuss with his team. In the email I request a call to confirm receipt of the email. I don't hear back so I call back at noon, then right before close. I am told Ro is with clients for the day, but he sends a message to say he's elevated to management and should receive a call. 3/14/26 - I swap the deployant clasp for a buckle so I can start wearing the watch. I'm in love with it. 3/17/26 - I call SWISSWATCHEXPO and ask to speak to Ro. (at this point no one from SWE has contacted me). He tells me that for anything to happen I must send the watch back. I ask him if I can keep the watch because I want to continue to wear it and just send the deployant clasp back. He proceeds to tell me its procedure to send everything back. I asked again, and he told me it's weird that I wouldn't want to send the watch back. I told him I just spent "X" amount of dollars, and I want to wear it. He tells me they are doing me a favor, that it is their policy, and aggressively interrupts me 3 times "you broke it, you broke it, you broke it, you broke it, right" as I'm trying to explain why I don't want to send the watch back and only the clasp. At this point I am getting frustrated with how I am being treated. I told him I was hoping this wasn't going to be my first and only purchase from SWE and he tells me, "if this is how you feel, then we can leave it here and part ways". Quite frankly, I am surprised at his reaction. I ask him if he can ask his management to make an exception. He says he will ask and will get back to me. Today is 3/25/26 and Ro has not contacted me. No one from SWISSWATCHEXPO has contacted me. I love the watch and am keeping it. I've sent the clasp to my jeweler to fix it. I've shared my experience with a few of my watch friends and they are all surprised. Not so much without being assisted but the fact that no one has contacted me for any kind of follow-up or even confirmation that they can or cannot help me. He showed me around the store and then showed me the watch. It made it easy to see the exact condition of the watch and see if I really liked it. The price was decent, so I made the purchase. I received the watch with no problems and I can say it is beautiful and runs well. I only have two dings to give them. First all of the other companies I have dealt with offer free next day shipping on luxury watches. Swiss Watch Expo has free 2 day shipping. I paid $50 extra for next day shipping. I didn't want to let an expensive item take any longer than necessary to be shipped. The second ding was I had a watch to trade. They told me they weren't interested and forced me to sell it to another dealer. I would actually give them 4.5 if I could but it is not allowed here. If shipping wasn't $50 and they would have given me a fair value for my trade, they would get and deserve 5 stars. read more
