But they're so much more. C.ocky L.ittle A.sian G.uy namesake Khan joined us for a lot of our visit and shared about his business, beers, and life story. Sandusky seems like a city reawakening from another time, and CLAG is definitely an anchor in the downtown area. The brewery is located in what seems like an old department store; there's lots of free parking outside. It's divided into a few main areas: inside the door you'll find a ton of refrigerators with 4-pack cans and limited bottles ready to go. Their prices are ridiculously low for the quality, a great option to stop before a party to stock up. They have a casual lounge area right inside and a shelf filled with the leftover label stickers from past releases, all free to take. The main area is the bar and restaurant (see separate review), with another lower bar which felt more casual to the left/down. Behind the bar is the brewery area, which is huge and not being completely used yet (they could expand, but doesn't seem like they need to). Khan took us on a great inside tour of these area, it's as simple as they come with an amazing finished product. Outside of their flagship hazies, they also excel at other styles including super clean rice lagers, and big boozy styles. They also have merchandise including tons of glassware inside. If you're a fan of great modern beer, pop culture puns, and great people, this is a must-visit brewery.

Everything was clean and looked nice. Staff were very friendly and they chatted with us and made recommendations. The proprietor was there and was a riot. (He's the guy on their fun beer labels). When we first arrived my friend spotted an old beer he loves on the top shelf. He asked the owner if it was for sale. Soon my buddy had a bottle of Lizard of Koz by Founders. Great service. The beer and food were great. They seem to specialize in New England IPAs (juicy and hoppy but not bitter) as they have so many on the menu. They also had stouts and porters. What a great tap list. I don't want to leave out the great food. I had a beef Pho and my friend had the TNT roll. Both great and flavorful. A big thumbs up. A place not to miss if going to Cedar Point.

Had live music when we were there which adds great ambiance though a touch loud for the space due to the acoustics. They have tables inside and out and they have board games to make the a fun afternoon. We were limited on time and just sat at the bar for a tasting. The girl at the bar was super helpful, had a great personality and you could tell she was passionate about the product. If you're not a drinker they have some flavored soda waters in a can. I opted for the tasting flight and there was definitely a clear favorite. They have both carbonated and non-carbonated options, all that I tried were carbonated. The flavors are fun and fruity and I have to say they have a really nice variety for being a small place. The clear winner for me was the Slappi da basil, a delicious blend of blueberries and basil. It's definitely up there with my all time favorite mead. Mass A Peal was good as was the Blood orange which was made with vanilla bean for a sweet creamcicle like treat. I will definitely be back.

It did NOT disappoint. It was AMAZING! The staff was so knowledgeable, helped guide my selections based on wine and beer preferences, and to make it even better they even had a flight. It's also on the 419 Ale Trail, which if you are visiting Toledo was a lot of fun to participate in (Google it and check it out - it's a a self paced brewery tour that gives prizes when you hit a certain number). Basically now I'm obsessed with Meade and am so sad that I do not have a place local to me to enjoy it and make believe I'm a rogue ninja in an old tavern awaiting my bounty.

This is Ohio and the weather here 7-8 months out of the year are not a open your windows type of deal. I like beer. I drink beer if Im going to drink most times out. I tried a flight here of 4 of their beers and did not find one that was good. For me. As my man was enjoying the atmosphere I even resorted to getting a glass of wine so we could hang for a bit. Service was just ok. They do have food trucks time to time. None when we were there. I can just imagine how cold it is in here in fall/winter with warehouse type spot atmosphere.
