I decided to try the fish sandwich which was whiting served on potato bread toast and the red beans and rice that I heard were quite tasty. I chatted with Chef ShaPau's mom while I waited for my order and she was just a joy to talk to as she was excited about her son's new opportunity. The fish was seasoned just right and the potato bread toast was a welcomed change to regular white bread(good idea chef:-)......and the beans and rice were just delightful nice and thick and seasoned with turkey sausage and meat. Best sweet tea I've had in ages. The bacon was cooked to perfection. I had shrimp and grits while the other 4 in my group had breakfast. There was 1 security guard at the door patting everyone down. He also didn't have a problem urinating on the side of the building & going right back to patting down people without even attempting to wash his hands. GROSS!! I truly have no words because he didn't even try to hide it nor did he go to a spot no one would see him at. He was practically on the curb. Food: When we ordered, they were out of candied yams, so I was bummed. We ordered fried whiting, onion rings, and fries. The food was hot and fresh. The onion rings were over cooked though. They give a huge block of cornbread too. It was a little sweet but not too much. Parking/Safety: You can park on the street or in their little lot. I'd try hard to find parking on the street if I were you just in case something pops off. There's A LOT of riff raft going in and out of this place. I was worried something was going to happen the entire time I was there. They need to up the age limit or something. They were really too rowdy both inside and outside the bar/club. Definitely not my cup of tea. This isn't the safest area as is, and the way people were coming in droves made me that much more anxious.
