    Pork Chop Dinner

Omg! Where do I begin! This is such a great restaurant/bar that's has a variety of delectable options. Let me start by saying I have never been to a restaurant where the owners are consistently available, up and about providing great customer service (might I add this is a black owned business). Mr&Mrs. Brown run a tight ship in here. Security always here and around ensuring safety. The food that is serves is quite delicious and reasonably priced. It is the epitome of good home styled food. Each of the nights they are opened, they have various night types (Karaoke on Thursday, Dj on Friday, Ladies Night on Saturday, and Sunday is brunch) The restaurant/club contribute to all age groups, young or old, the floor is open to a good time. If you every happen to be in the Petersburg area pleasee stop by here if you are looking for a good time and good food!!!!!!

This is a restaurant that rents out the facility for private events. I had a coupon that I finally had a chance to use so I ordered a pork-chop dinner and a fish/chicken dinner with greens, yams, rice, green beans, potato salad and cornbread. I must say that everything was well seasoned but the greens seemed to be canned and the green beans had a bit more salt than I prefer...overall it was tasty and I may even try the breakfast on my next trip.

One of the best restaurants I've visited. Ambiance was nice, seated right away, music was great (if…read moreyou're into 90s r&b), service was outstanding, and the food was some of the best I've had. I had the sweet potato cornbread, crispy salmon, with a side of collards. My wife had the oysters (with a really tasty hot sauce) and the crab cake (no filler). Everything was savory and light, cooked to perfection. We were both stuffed as we walked away from this gem!

I finally got to the new location of Lillie Pearl. The location is great. The server, Briana, was one of the best I've had in a very long time. Personable, great smile, friendly, and knew her stuff. We ordered the brussel sprouts- they were great with a nice heat from the sauce. We had the crispy skin salmon, which came with a nice fresh salad, The skin was amazingly crispy and the flesh was flavorful. I asked Briana to surprise me with something good and boy did she deliver. It was their porkchop served over some super tasty mashed potatoes. Note that this is not how they are usually served, it was Briana's favorite way to eat this dish so she made the decision for me. The porkchop was very very good. Nice grill marks, onions, and a very nice cream-based sauce. This was so so good. They are doing great food at this new location and I will be back again.

TL;DR: good food options that were all tasty, and good service…read more Came here to grab lunch before our round at Independence (connected to the pro shop). There are plenty of seating, indoor and outside. Service was nice and attentive, and the food came out quickly. Their menu had a lot of different offerings from burgers, to pizza, to entrees. FOOD: ~Sticky Ribs (4.5/5): actually fall off the bone tender! The sauce was tasty. Only thing was the ends were a little too burnt, but it wasn't inedible - gave that nice char taste. ~Italian Grinder (5/5): Typical italian sandwich, but the bread was so good. The roasted peppers added a nice kick, and the sauce was yummy. ~Fries (5/5): love battered fries! And they were seasoned really well ~Catfish and grits (4/5): the grits were wonderful consistency. Catfish was fried really well and was extremely tender. The sauce was so flavorful, but it was very heavy. At first I was worried about the huge chunks of celery, but thankfully, it didn't have that strong celery flavor and added a nice crunch. A really solid meal, especially for a golf course restaurant!

They honored it by QR code on the phone, they got busier...stopped accepting, told us we "needed to print it." Menu has changed, new staff, does not fit the bill of the location or venue. Management needs to take a look. And the $1.99 "shed" style locks on the bathroom doors. I stood outside the bathroom for 7 minutes thinking the bathroom was occupied; no, the faulty doorknob was just locked and the shed latch was open. Trashy. and the Place is dirty. Independence and Founder's Bridge should bump up a notch. The menu is funky to say the least. Just look up the blueberry grilled cheese. Sad attempt at a "gastropub." Get a life guys. Scan the QR code and honor your promotional attempts to brung business to a once dying restaurant. Lastly, try live music on Thursdays indoors. Expand or reinvent. 2 out of 10. The Italian sandwich is very good.
