Potato salad and onion rings! Yesssssss!

DELICIOUS. Had a hankerin' for some bbq, did a yelp search. Decided on this place. Got a lb of brisket and pulled pork, and sides of collards, onion rings, potato salad, and baked beans. Also got extra sauce, both the mustard and tomato based. Brisket, OMG, double OMG. So good! That smokiness. First bite had me saying dear lord Jesus! Pulled pork was a close second, so much yum. Btw, have seen a few posts that mentioned fatty bits as negatives. I LOVE FATTY BITS! Mixed in with the best cuts of meat, moistness and flavor, yes please! Sides were good. Collards hit the spot, not the best I've ever had, but much better than most! Onion rings are great! Potato salad and beans have a tasty uniqueness to them. Still a sucker for a tomato based sauce; enjoyed the mustard based much more than I thought I would. I'm a dipper and the side of tomato was 2/3's gone, mustard was 1/2 gone, so... both good. Give this place a visit, you won't be disappointed. If you're in a rush, call ahead. BBQ is not a quick process, but well worth the wait!

Smokin' the BBQ the way it's meant to be done

Five stars for this authentic barbecue. Found this place onThe way through Richmond and was not disappointed. When you see the cooking going on right there outside the building in the parking lot you know you found the right place. The barbecue sauce is unique and has a tangy zesty mustard-based flavor. I recommend it to any barbecue lover

Pulled pork sandwich was too fatty for me. Had large blobs of fat. I guess you can request a lean pull. Good smoked flavor.

The tea was excellent. If you are looking for tea this is the place. Bbq was very fatty. Mustard sauce was not for me but may be for you

We ordered the pulled pork sandwich smokey goodness and the sauce they use was a compliment to the pork.

It was our first time here and we were taking forever looking at the menu. The staff were very helpful and made great recommendations. Now, the food! It was pretty damn good. I'm a fat guy at heart and well, actually I'm just fat. The platter I ordered was so dope. The BBQ chicken sandwich wasn't big but it made for that with the flavor! It was crunchy and tasted awesome! Nice juicy white breast, it was ittie bittie, but I'm that committee. The fries were smacking and there was a lot. The chicken nuggets were fresh and crispy. The BBQ sauce and special sauce they gave me were freaking delicious. I poured some of it on my pillow because I knew I was going to dream about the food and chew on my pillow. My Coke float was perfect! It had the right mixture and the soft serve was on point. I gave this place 5 stars because you know what you're getting, it's open late as hell, and finally it's a great change of pace from the normal westernized fast food garbage that gave diabetes to the Middle East and Japan. If you're in Virginia give this joint a chance. I purchased food for the wife and pigs and it was $38 clams. Too dope

It was industrial and sturdy looking. She loved the orange color in the ceiling. We ordered the ribs with mac and cheese and a kale salad as sides, the pulled chicken kids meal, and the Moonfry dessert. I thoroughly enjoyed my food. The portion size in the kids meal was satisfying and could honestly feed an adult. I wouldn't mind giving this place another try.

It sounded like a dream for any BBQ lover, and in terms of portion size and presentation, it definitely delivered. The ribs were bite-off-the-bone tender, the chicken was cooked just right, and the brisket sliders had great texture. You can tell the meat is treated with care and cooked low and slow. But the seasoning? That's where things went off the rails. Everything -- and I mean everything -- was buried under an avalanche of black pepper. The ribs were so heavily dusted it distracted from the smoky flavor. The chicken leg quarter had potential, but each bite felt like a challenge to get past the burn. And the brisket sliders? Great meat, but lost under that same peppery overkill. I'm not against spice, but this wasn't "well-seasoned" -- it was just over-seasoned. When every item on the plate tastes more like black pepper than meat, it's hard to enjoy the variety. Service was quick, and the staff was friendly. The concept is solid, and the value is definitely there. I'd go back but be hesitant -- but I'll be asking them to hold back on the pepper next time so I can actually taste the BBQ or try another location. The restaurant was clean and updated real nice.
