I went into Jiffy Lube yesterday 11/25/2019 for an oil change. They said my back breaks needed immediate attention and let me know that they change brakes. I declined wanting to have our regular Mechanic Ernie at Tire King take a look thinking they definitely needed to be changed before our out of town trip. They told me my break fluid was fine, my tire psa was set at 33, factory recommended setting. Today I visited Ernie at Tire King and was told I still have 25% on my back brakes and 70% in the front. He also topped of my my brake fluid, Jiffy Lube said I didn't need it and set my tires at the proper psa of 33. Jiffy Lube set it all around 25 psa. Being a woman, they really tried to mess with me. I find it unacceptable to take my car in for service and find out they were incorrect in too many areas. Not To Be Trusted Thank You Ernie at Tire King, integrity means a lot to me-and many others. I'm the owner of a lifted JKU and have had nothing but problems in trying to keep my 37's balanced and other suspension issues corrected. After hitting most of the local tire shops, I was referred to Ernie's Tire King and Ted. What are great referral. They have consistently been able to deal with any issue I bring to them. The last was mounting and balancing a new set of 37's. First they were good enough to take off the old tires and let me have the wheels to clean and polish. Then they did a fantastic job getting those big tires balanced. Not an easy task. But they are PERFECT. The ride is great with no complaints. I knew I had an alignment issue, took my 4-Runner to Wayne's Tires in SLO, they said I both have an alignment problem as well as a wheel bearing problem. They said I need new bearings ASAP! It was going to cost me $$$! Feeling like I needed a second opinion I was recommend Earni's Tire King, went there without an appointment, felt an honest vibe right away. After telling them I need an alignment they asked if there's any other problems, I said I heard certain noises and that it could possibly be the bearings? They said they will first align the car then test the bearings. When I came back after a quick breakfast, the alignment was done, Danny the Tech/Mechanic that worked on my car said there is no issues with my bearings, he personally ran a diagnostic. I couldn't believe they're honesty! When so many shops bottom line is squeezing out as much work and $$ from a customer, it is a breath of fresh air to now have a go-to shop, Ernie's Tire King.
