Pretty good portions and food is ready really quickly only took about 12 minutes from ordering. The pad see ew beef wasn't overcooked like some places, which I really appreciate it. Just wish it was a little bit more saucey but overall was still really good. We got the hot papaya salad and had a pretty good cake wasn't too spicy, but needed a little more lime for my taste. Still was really nice to balance the pad see ew. Not sure what to do with that wedge of cabbage. The inside decor was also really cool.

*Under NEW OWNERSHIP! Nice friendly service in the old Thailander location offering a whole new menu with some great additions. I started with my favorite "peanut sauce delivery system" of shrimp salad rolls. I love that these are also offered with tofu instead of you are not into shrimp. Hubby ordered his usual crab fried rice with spicy fish sauce. I tried the peanut delight ... I know shocker, another peanut sauce dish lol! They had the roll up door open for a breeze but it was a tad bit on the warm side today so I cooled off with a Sweet Thai lemon Iced tea. Ice cold water was brought to the table promptly when we were seated and much appreciated. Glad to know we have another great Thai spot close to home. We look forward to visiting again real soon. Go check out this spot you won't be disappointed!

I have long been a big fan of Esan, dating back to when they had a location two block from my downtown Portland office. When it closed, much sadness. But, I've been pleased to seen food trucks/carts popping up around town. Most have the same quality, some do not. So, when this location opened, I was excited (to say the least). Tonight, my wife and I ordered takeout. I had Chicken Pad Thai. She had Beef Pineapple Fried Rice. We were very happy they offered easy gluten free options. Mine tasted really good (but not like my old work location). My wife stated her's was a little bland (that could've been the GF preparation or her "no spice" selection). Either way, we were very happy with our dinner choice and look forward to trying more from the menu. Speaking of takeout, the online ordering was VERY easy.

Very cute newly opened Thai restaurant. Service was fast and friendly. The pepper shrimp were delicious. They had a kick of spice, but not too much. They also came with battered onions, mushrooms, and jalapeños. I would definitely do that dish again. The salad shrimp rolls were fresh and crisp, but it was really hard to find any substantial shrimp in them. Overall a great lunch spot and I'd definitely go back to try other dishes.

Got take out on NewYears eve. The good was the workers were very hospitable and let us order even though they were closing early in 30 minutes. Food was ready very quickly. Food looked and smelled delicious. The egg rolls were tasty. The vegetables were cooked perfectly as was the noodles. The down side there really wasn't any flavor to them, bland. And the curry was all spice and no flavor. So disappointed because I was really looking forward to trying this local Place. Maybe they are better on non holidays if you want to try them. Looked cute inside.

Wow! I've been trying all the local Thai places and finding myself very disappointed. Sean was one we hadn't tried--so glad we did! The service was excellent and our server attended to details and was very sweet! Now to the food...we started with crab puffs and curry puffs. Both were handmade and fried perfectly. The curry puffs were light, flaky, and delicious! We also had yellow curry and Penang curry. Both were delicious and well made. The sauces were the perfect amount of heat that we ordered. This will now be my go to for Thai food! Also the dining room was nice and cool, especially with the garage door open. Cute decor!

Sorry I should taken a photo before I ate but it's very good so had to start eating right away. This chain has served in my opinion one of the best Thai food around the Portland Metro. I'm glad they opened up in the Tanasbourne area. Look at the picture on the pineapple fried rice my companion is already almost done eating his. It's that good. lol

Great food and great service. We stopped by for a quick dinner and ate way too much. Highly recommended.

My default is the Buddha's Delight with chicken and house-made garlic sauce. It's basically a steam/stir fry loaded with a medley of fresh veggies including broccoli, carrots, mushrooms, cabbage and a balanced proportion of white meat chicken. It's a very good sized plate of food and enough for me to take home some leftovers. My husband enjoys their yellow curry with tofu, potato, onion and medium-spicy, creamy sauce. White jasmine rice comes with the dishes, brown is $1 extra. We also like the fresh salad rolls with prawns, lots of crunchy greens, herbs and sides of chili sauce and a yummy peanut sauce. The restaurant can feel a bit crowded and noisy during peak times. The service varies from average to good and the food comes out pretty quickly. One thing that really needs mentioning is that the run-down building exterior and weedy, unkempt landscape have been very poorly maintained to the point that I think this could reflect negatively on an, otherwise, very good restaurant. I could see this being a real turn-off to someone unfamiliar with the positive qualities of the place. Hope they consider putting some time and energy into improving this.

Would have liked them a little more crispy so when they got to me they weren't soggy. Crab Rangoon 7/10 Okay size and taste. Was a bit dry and needed a little bit of something. Idk maybe a pinch of salt and pepper? Crab fried rice 8.5/10. Good portion and I could actually see some shredded crab. Wasn't oily. Not too many veggies. Massamun curry 9/10 very good. Not too sweet and very flavorful. I like the smaller shredded kind of chicken they did vs big weird chunks most places do. Jasmine rise was basic rice. Chimi cheesecake 10/10 this was perfect it was a little warm still and tasted like a homemade toaster strudel Guava juice 2/10 wayyyyyy sweeter than I was expecting. Very very sugary. But I will say it was fruity. I did half water half juice and mixed in a shot of vodka and it was delicious. Overall I'm pretty happy with this! I have plenty of leftovers.

I used to pick up orders as a Door Dash driver, but never ate in the restaurant. I was in the mood for Thai food, especially fresh salad rolls. At first I had a hard time figuring out what could be made vegan, but after I asked the server, I was told most things could be made vegan. Service was friendly, though a little slow at first. We didn't get our drinks until the first dish was brought out. I ordered an unsweetened iced tea and my sister got a Thai iced tea. I ordered fresh salad rolls with peanut sauce. I shared with my sister, and we were given ample peanut sauce. My sister ordered the pumpkin curry with tofu and level 1 spice. She overheard the people at next table say they got level 2 but it was quite spicy. Level 1 also had quite a kick, but it was manageable. The restaurant was clean with nice decor. Restroom could have used a little attention. But the flavor and freshness of the food was pretty good. I would definitely return!

The filling was a bit too mush for me but the flavor was okay. I think paying for $9 for 4 egg rolls is a bit pricey as well. The papaya salad was refreshing but was different from what I am accustomed to as I typically eat it with more fermentation and more padek. Though it's different, the flavor overall wasn't too bad. decent spice for a medium. Both the panang curry and pad se ew tasted good overall. The curry had a good thick consistency and good balance of flavor between coconut milk, herbs and curry paste. Just a bit on the sweet end but overall still good. I could probably say the same with the pad se ew as well. Good balance of flavors but just a bit on the sweet side for me personally. No complaints on the service; aunty was nice, checked up on us appropriately, didn't wait long for the food or the check. The ambiance of the restaurant is nice and plenty of Thai decor.
