She was very nice and made sure we had everything we needed! As for the food the Happy Hour menu is definitely worth it, the curry was very good and had great flavor to it. The Larb Fries, while not on the happy hour menu was definitely a great addition to the meal as well! The fries were nice and crispy and the seasoning paired wonderfully. I wish I had found this place sooner. It is behind a taco truck I frequent which is probably why I never investigated. They have a vegan portion of the menu which I look out for because I'm vegetarian and the traditional sauce normally contains fish sauce (delish BTW, but it's a lifestyle choice). I ordered my food to go, but the server at the cash register was very friendly and appreciative of my order. It is small, but clean, well decorated so I could see myself eating there. I ordered the Vegan Pad Thai, Thai Spice level and added egg (cuz vegetarian, not vegan) and basil which I had been craving for a while. At first I did not think it was spicy enough, so next time I will take the spice up one more notch. Overall I was very happy with the food. Not bad, but I expected more, based upon many of the reviews that I read. I ordered the beef pad see ew and the orange chicken. The pad see ew sauce was sweet and rather dry compared to most other restaurants. The orange chicken was a complete surprise. It didn't have the type of breading that I am used to. It had a breadcrumb consistency, and it was sliced chicken instead of chunks. Not terrible, but it honestly tasted like cafeteria food. Perhaps I visited on an off-day. If you're a fan of Nong's, this place is a close second to the famous khao man gai chicken dish. The gingery sauce is delicious, and the chicken is tender to perfection. The soup that's comes on the side was a little too peppery for me, but other than that everything about this dish was really solid! Will absolutely get this again being close to my work. They're always very friendly and accommodating. I always get the large Thai Tea. Everything has been delicious and I have no complaints. I have yet to come to the restaurant, but I have ordered twice now on door dash and wow, everything I've gotten has been great. The peanut sauce is so yummy, salad roll is fresh and delicious! I had pad Thai last time and it was amazing? I ordered a crab meat fried rice today & my fried rice comes with a little bit of crab meat (1/2 of a tablespoon) on top of the fried eggs, no crab meat in the fried rice itself. This is a false advertisement! The fried rice does not have the Thai special taste to it. It is like a heatable grocery store fried rice bag. Trader Joe's fried rices are better than this. Thai food is one of my favorites so I was excited to try this new place since there's only a few good spots here in Beaverton. It's a counter service restaurant so the prices are reasonable. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I like the decor, it was simple and showed much of the Thailand heritage. I ordered the Pineapple Curry with chicken and a Thai Iced Tea (with coconut milk for a dairy free option). To my surprise, the curry wasn't sweet. It had a good balance of spices. Did takeout for the first time thru Doordash and enjoyed the Khao Man Gai (if there's an option for dark meat only, I'd choose that). The chicken was succulent and the rice was savory, the sauce was tasty and delicious but not overly garlicky. This is an update to my previous review. In the time since my first review of Lanna Thai, they have raised the prices by $5 per item. While this may not be a big deal to most, it has stopped me and my family from being regular customers. It was such a refreshing treat to be able to take my family of 4 for out for dinner at an affordable price, but since the price of each item has been raised so much I can barely afford to treat just myself, much less my family. The food is very good, and they are very kind and accommodating, but the prices are now just too high. I hope you can find a balance of affordability and profit generation for your business! read more

I don't understand how this place has such a high rating. Paid $11 for 2 salad rolls with shrimp that was mediocre and barely had enough peanut sauce to go with it. I had the pad kra pao noodles. The green beans came out of a can and the pork was obviously pre-over cooked and then added to the dish. It had no flavor at all. This is some of the worst overpriced Thai food that I've had. Don't bother coming here. In addition, I ended up being sick for 2 days after eating this food, having bad diarrhea and I threw out the remaining food. Although, the owner followed up with comments about trying to make this "right", I won't be going back to this restaurant. read more

Every bit as good as I expected from the reviews and better. I ordered two entrees - pad see ew (w/ pork) and the pad kra pao. Both were excellent - piping hot still by the time I got home with them, and bursting with fresh, authentic Thai flavors. I ordered both entrees "hot/spicy" (one level down from the very hot/spicy), which was pretty darn spicy but just right for me. The portions were plenty big and lasted me a whole other meal. Other things worth noting - the owners were welcoming and helpful to talk to when asking questions about the menu, and the place was spotless and seemed to run like clockwork. I'm in town for 5 nights and will visit them again and try something new. they still have some work to do in my opinion.. it wasn't great but it also wasn't terrible. the people who work here are super sweet, and you can tell they need some local support to thrive more. i want to say that maybe if they lower their prices, they may be able to compete with other nearby places like thai bloom, e-san thai, or thai noodle. that considered, a unique thing about this place is that they offer menu items that aren't usually found at most mainstream thai restaurants, such as: - khao nha gai, khao mun gai & khao mun gai tod (saucy or boiled chicken and rice & fried chicken and rice) - khao yum gai zaap (crispy chicken & rice w/ a herby kick) - larb french fries (fries with a herby larb seasoning) - pad thai pockets - nam prik ong (soooo good esp. if you like tomatoes, pork, and spice -- most places don't have this!!) i would encourage you to venture out from the normal choices like pad thai, fried rice, pad see ew and pad kee mao. thailand has so many flavors to offer! you never know what you may end up liking read more
