Best Thai food in the area. Better quality food than the other locations in downtown Hillsboro!

I had a craving for red curry with rice noodles. It's a fairly new thing for me, since I usually have rice with curries. I was told that the red curry could not be made vegan because of the paste they use. They said the yellow curry could be made vegan. So I said I would have that. I was asked if I still wanted the rice noodles. I said sure. I wasn't told there would be an upcharge for it. I did ask at the beginning if rice comes with the curry, and was told yes. But when I was interested in the rice noodles, I wasn't told there would be an extra $2. I probably would have chose rice, because the rice noodles did not pair well with the yellow curry. I was asked about the spice level, and I said I prefer it medium, towards the milder side. I should have said mild, it was too spicy for me. I took most of the curry home to give to my son, he loves spicy curry. The restaurant was clean and had nice ambiance. Though it was hard to find parking nearby. I had to drive around the block a couple times to find a spot. I believe there's a parking garage not too far, but I'm not sure if it's free. It is however very close to the max station. If I have a red curry craving again in the near future, I definitely will go elsewhere. read more

Usually I have done take out but decided to eat in tonight for the first time. Service was friendly and quick although I Highly recommend NOT being seated near the restroom section. Was actually really good and the rice came free with both dishes. I'm used to being charged if I want rice. The rice was perfectly cooked too. Loved the chicken holy basil. Our waitress was very friendly and accommodating. We just finished a volleyball tournament so we got Thai iced teas too (it hit the spot) and they kept the waters refilled so quick. We never had to look around for help. Love the decoration too. Especially the copper feather on the wall. I only wish it played Thai music instead of pop but hey that's the only bad thing and it wasn't a biggie. We are visiting from Seattle so Thank you for making our experience amazing. read more

Fast attentive service. Expansive menu with several original menu items. The duck bao buns were lovely. Wife had the lamb chops which were amazing! Had pretty low expectations for lamb in a Thai place but they were perfectly cooked and the accompanying curried rice pilaf and and sauce were perfect. I had the panang curry with medium heat, also delicious. It was a pretty hot medium, very much a Thai medium you would receive in Thailand so be careful if you order anything hotter. read more

Some of the best Thai food in the area. The service is always quick and the staff is super friendly + nice. I love stopping by with friends or getting takeout! There's plenty of seating in the inside. Some of my go-to dishes are the drunken noodles (chicken) and yellow curry. Everything I've (and others I'm with have) tried so far, I've liked. The spice level beyond "mild" definitely has a kick to it. My only complaint thus far has been the Pad Thai dish, the flavor is different than almost all others I've tried. Stopped in for a quick mid-day snack and went with the classics, a tofu fresh roll and Thai tea. My take-out order took less than 5 minutes from me ordering it to it being in my hand and ready to enjoy. The fresh roll, was indeed fresh and had a good combination of veggies. Big place for a large group lunch. Staffs were friendly and the service was good. Water gets refill when on low by the staff. We had a large group of 10. All the foods came at different pace. The last food item was pineapple chicken fried rice took a long time to come out, 10 minutes later after everyone starts eating. Maybe it was the busy lunch hour. I ordered the ginger pacific cod. The fish was mostly breaded so it wasn't good. The dish was bland. I should've ordered a beef pad thai instead. read more

Not as good as it used to be. We got takeout today, and they gave us white rice instead of brown. There weren't many veggies in the Panang curry or the spicy fried rice. And the huge flat pieces of white chicken dwarfed everything else. Last time we ate at the restaurant, the duck in tangerine sauce tasted nothing like duck and had a weird texture. Good food, quick service and casual ambiance. I love their pineapple fried rice. Their menu is huge and all dishes we have tried are great. I have never seen any of my friends being disappointed from their order at this place. The location is just perfect and with prior reservations they do accommodate large parties too. We've had takeout from here before so we knew the food would be good, but this was our first time dining in. We ordered the Thai papaya salad, duck curry, and pad Thai shrimp, all medium spicy. We like a good amount of spice but beware that their spice levels are spicy! Next time we would get the papaya salad mild because it was definitely the spiciest of the dishes. The pad Thai had big shrimp that were cooked well, not overcooked at all. The duck curry has a lot of different fruits and veggies and a good amount of duck as well. The total bill was $48, which is very reasonable for the portion sizes. We will come back for the same dishes, just a mild version :) read more

Let's understand- the orange processed crap with those damn ridges served in many NYC take-out spots and other restaurants, is not crab. We all know that. I know that. So thank heavens for West Coast Asian restaurants serving up the real thing. Since our flight landed at almost midnight in PDX, most places were closed in Hillsboro. Our daughter picked up dinner, kept it warm in her apartment for us and brought it over when we got to our hotel. She'd gotten chicken skewers for hubs and also the 3-Flavor Salmon in a rich tasting sauce with the perfect amount of heat for me. But the showpiece of it all was the Fried Rice topped with Dungeness crab- which was all but $16. SIXTEEN DOLLARS! My daughter raves about 9 Dang and can easily go for their Vegan or Pescatarian options. For us, this was a perfect dinner past midnight. read more

Came here with my wife after church. My grandma is from Thailand so I grew up eating a lot of her home Thai cooking. This place was fantastic. The service was exceptionally friendly, the ambiance was relaxed and nice. The Pad See Ew was phenomenal as was the Thai iced tea. My wife ordered the green curry with chicken, outstanding. It was just spicy enough that it provided a small kick. Nothing overpowering. (However if you wanted it to be spicier you can ask for that). They have khao soi! That's all you need to know. Okay... it's all also very good. The khao soi is their "northern curry noodles" and I get them gluten free, so they substitute the noodles with vermicelli rice noodles. The cashew chicken is great. Love their pad Thais too. Besides it being one of the best-tasting places I've been to, the service is really great too. My ex and I used to go a lot and the servers recognized us as regulars and would always ask us how we were doing, etc. They genuinely care about their customers! My favorite MAX stop is Orenco, because of Dang Fine. My wife and I have eaten here many times and the food is always DANG FINE! I love their fried chicken and anything on the menu with seafood. Great service and a very short walk from MAX. read more

When I come to a new Thai restaurant I always order my favorite dish Stir Fry Eggplant with chicken so I can compare it to other Thai restaurants. This one was definitely a five stars! Everything, EVERYTHING, is delicious here. The menu is absolutely solid, and there's plenty to choose from. The spice can be intense, so be cautious. The Chiang Mai Spicy Sausage is a must try! I was here a few weeks ago with my son and lover. Let me tell you this place did not disappoint! Everything that we ordered was so good! So much flavor nothing was too much or over the top. Usually when I go to a Thai restaurant not all the dishes you order is good or made good either too salty or too overly sweet. We ordered the shrimp tom yum it was bomb the portion was just small. First visit last week. We ordered take-out online, it was ready before the pick-up time. The portions were good, similar to most other Thai restaurants I'd say. We wanted to do a bit of sampling so we chose pad Thai with chicken, cashew chicken, steamed veggies (with beef), and crab/cream cheese wontons. When ordering online they give the option of levels of red pepper, we chose mild and medium. The Pad with the pepper added was a bit too hot for the hubby, but mixing it with the other dishes cooled it significantly for him. The favors of the Pad and cashew were nice, although the steamed veggie with beef dish was quite bland. Not good for the addition of meat, but for the veggies it was great. The wontons were good, less cream cheese than I prefer, but they tasted great. We had steamed and brown rice...steamed was typical of course, but the brown was unique, light and fragrant.
