You can obtain an appointment in a few ways: Call their toll free number or attempt online. I made my appointment for today; Thursday over the phone earlier in the week because I phoned them to discuss a letter I had received from them recently. I learned that I had to present in person in order to conclude my business. Interesting was that the person who answered the call was also the person I met with today. I liked this because I felt more comfortable when meeting her as she was already familiar with my needs. Name changes are currently being processed here and by appointment only. You must present with your actual DMV drivers license and "original" stamped signed and dated by the court "seal" for some services like the name change. I'd phone them to get the actual list before presenting in person for an appointment. There was a line outside the front doors when I arrived but it soon vanished because everyone but one person wanted to see an employee for assistance. Once they were informed that was not the procedure they left. The environment was so peaceful. Security is on-site and I felt way more comfortable seeing and experiencing this as I was thoroughly screened for weapons. Made me feel super safe. Lastly, it can get costly to work on your Social Security paperwork by mail and today I learned they have over-sized postage paid, self addressed manila envelopes for the public available here. Good to see our tax dollars at work.

Come to my truck to find a parking ticket. The closest parking garage is half way across down town or across the street at the park where there are drug addicts and needles all over. After spending a day and generating a lot of $ for the small businesses down town I come out to a parking ticket. If they are going to have 2 hour parking and enforce it they should have zones that are longer because access to a large parking garage is 5+blocks away. Do they expect someone with a disability to travel that far? There isn't even disabled person parking on that street, which I'm sure would break HIPPA rules and laws. It's absolutely ridiculous that I would have to move my car every 2 hours while conducting business. So instead, I'll meet with my clients in Ripon, Turlock etc.... Somewhere parking is free or has extended hours. When you come in, you must go to the check-in window and provide your name and phone number. They inform you that you will be notified via text and announcement over the PA system when it is your turn with which window to go to. Depending on the time of day you come, there may be no wait or a wait time up to an hour. At peak times, there is extremely limited seating so you'll have to stand around as you wait for your turn. After I was called up the recorder's window, I was greeted with rudeness. The lady working there quite literally tossed the papers at me. There was no sense of politeness at all. Despite the attitude, I would say she was very efficient and seemed knowledgeable of what I needed to have done there. The service itself was relatively quick. If you need to come here, note that the entrance is the door facing I street and there is a small parking lot with entrances on I and Tenth Streets.

It was 1:35 P.M. A woman opened the door partway and asked if I had some document for them. I showed her and she told me to wait in the line. I was the only one at the time. I talked to the people who gave me the ride and told them that I would just wait and when it was finished, I would message them. As they were leaving, the woman told me to enter. She directed me to the first person behind the glass and she processed my paperwork and directed me to someone else. That person took a photo of me and had me leave a signature--two things that they needed to confirm from starting the process online. I was so relieved to find that they weren't going to make me wait and that they were all friendly and caring. It was like they didn't work for the government. Thank goodness for a good experience!

My friend was about to be homeless at 72, disabled with a small 12 year old dog. Although she had a valid hcv, She could not find an apartment. We tried everything. Ms. Pulido went above and beyond to help us . Everything worked out and she and her dog will be great. The thing about Ms. Pulido is that she doesn't pick and choose who she helps. I believe she works her hardest for everyone she deals with. I was in the same situation about 6 months ago. I don't know if she remembered me but i absolutely remember her.
