After dropping off their ticket, she finally took my order. When my food came out, the toast was wrong (white not rye) and my coffee was already low. By the time I finished eating, my coffee had been empty for quite a while, and I then sat another 15 minutes with my dishes stacked at the edge of the table before she stopped by again just to clear dishes. She finally asked if I wanted more coffee, but at that point I just wanted to leave. Then it took another 5 minutes before I finally got my ticket to checkout. Hubby went with 3 beef (ground beef, cheese and pico sauce on the side as we requested) in hard shells. I went with a steak taco (steak, cheese, onions and cilantro on a flour tortilla), one beef and the pork belly in a flour tortilla. They made a mistake and sent out a steak and cheese taco (think kind of like a Philly but with steak chunks). Our server caught it and brought me out the pork belly. The verdict? Absolutely yummy! Where we are from down south, there seems to be an Americanized Mexican place on almost every corner. You probably know the kind. We never order a "steak anything" from those places because the meat is always overdone and like shoe leather. Not here!! The steak on both of my tacos was cut in chunks and super tender. All the meat tacos came with a nice amount of cheese and it was melted (a nice touch). But the star of the show for me?? Oh my that pork belly taco!! The pork belly was crisp (not overly so) and cooked in this amazing Korean BBQ type sauce. It was topped with a pineapple salsa that really balanced the dish out. I messed up three orders in two different lunch rushes because when I got backed up and asked for help her only reply with an attitude was looking at cue cards. That's all fine when we aren't busy, but when you got 7 orders in a lunch rush and can't be bothered to even train your staff its very underwhelming. The walk in cooler has no light I been forced to use a flashlight to even try to do my job and the Fifo method. The sanitizer water is supposed to be 70° or luke warm, she copped an attitude when I inquired about what the online training said to hers she would leave it stagnant with cold for hours without changing it. The make line has been without refrigeration and I had to ice down the food to stay fresh. The music on the Bluetooth was always playing loud pop music she had control over nobody could think let alone eat in peace. The worst experience was being told to go on break and hour after I show up while she took multiple while on the job being paid runs to her car sits there hitting a vape pen multiple times a day.
