First I want to say that this is probably my 4th visit here for a haircut & blowout and they are…read moreusually pretty good, at least 4 stars but this visit was bad My bangs were cut so so short and badly that it looks like I did it myself and messed it up completely. I specifically asked for my bangs to be below my eyebrows and she made a rookie mistake of cutting it at my eyebrows when wet. Anyone with bangs know that once dry, it gets a bit shorter. plus she didn't cut it evenly or symmetrically. In the attached pictures, one is a picture of the bangs I showed the stylist (of the bangs I wanted), the one that looks very short is the bangs I left with right after (she styled it with a round brush and dryer), and the third one is the next day after I washed my hair and combed it down- you can see it's not even straight or symmetrical.. thankfully this will grow out in about 3-4 weeks but it's devastating with the holiday season, Christmas is in a few days and New Years next week with lots celebrations and my hair will look like I cut and messed up my own bangs. the rest of my hair was decently cut - though when looking at it, it's hard for the eyes not to go to the bangs that were so obviously messed up. I would have been understanding if they told me they gave me a junior or student stylist and I wish she would have just told me she isn't comfortable cutting bangs as it would have been better if she just left it alone.

I was told my youngest daughter, age 5, is supposed to be $150 because they decided to put curls in her hair (without asking me, by the way), but they won't charge me for the full amount. If I would've known upfront about the curls, I could at least decide myself if I wanted to pay that much or not. I appreciate not charging me the full amount but I'm sure I still paid $100 for a 5 year olds haircut. I didn't say anything at the time but I'm sure the look on my face was shocked. I paid without any fuss but next time I will definitely have to keep this in mind if I decide to visit the salon again.

There is no comparison to what she did to me and what she posts of her Instagram. I truly think the photos she posts are not of her work. I never thought I'd ever be one to write such a review. The salon experience and customer service I received at Salon Pure 11/5/2019 which continues today 11/20/2019 has been an absolute nightmare. Marta T, NEW owner of Salon Pure seems to have learned her business management skills from the previous owner Adriana. I trusted Marta to balayage my NATURAL, VIRGIN hair from a strong recommendation by a co-worker of mine. I ignored the reviews from when the previous owner Adriana ran the salon but clearly nothing has changed here. To begin my experience, a week prior to my balayage nightmare from OWNER Marta, I came for a quick 1 inch trim and blow out. $85 before tip. No problem, I thought...except for the fact my blow out did not last more than ONE day. I called her the next day and told her I still want to get my balayage done by her but not to do a blowout service. First note, inside salon is COLD. Cold inside on both service days I came. The day I came in for my balayage was 30 degrees outside. *keep this in mind while story continues* I showed Marta what I wanted from her Instagram page (@traveramarta) on an actual balayage she posted that *she* "completed." I told her if it were to turn a *little* more blonde, I would be ok with it. She did NOT show me color swatch book. She proceeded mixing and hand painting the color on my hair and applied plastic wrap in true balayage style. When at washing station and Marta is washing my hair, she said my hair lifted a *beautiful* blonde and I won't need to tone, BUT IF I WANTED TO, it would cost another $25. Weird, I thought...considering I haven't even seen it and she already is talking about how *perfect* it lifted YET there is a fee to tone... I OBVIOUSLY was SHOCKED to see YELLOW bleach blonde stripped hair that Marta claimed was "perfect." I was almost in tears and told her we MUST tone. We went back to the washing station and began toning. When she rinsed out, Marta simply dried my face framing section. It was clearly nothing like the photos I showed her but I thought, it's ok, I can make it work as it was my first time ever coloring my hair. Remember how I said I called the day before about removing the blow out service (which costs $50 and previously only lasted me one day)...well after Marta dried my face frame, she expected me to leave with soaking WET hair in 30 degree weather. I have never been to a salon that does not do a rough dry, which especially seems unheard of after a COLOR SESSION! I had to blow dry my own hair while Marta went on to color another guest. The following days, I would run into friends who ask what happened to my hair. The outcome I am left with was nothing close to a balayage. Marta gave me chunky orange highlights and let me leave thinking I looked GOOD! As of today (11/20), I am ****STILL**** waiting for a refund. I have damage to what was once beautiful, virgin hair. Marta claims it is "virtually impossible to duplicate a hair color," but a TRUE PROFESSIONAL (btw she claims is she a Matrix Educator....I am contacting Matrix over this too...) would LOVE to work with never before processed hair. Marta told me that I am taking advantage of her. My final result and attached photos will tell you differently. My salon service was $145 and I asked her for $200 back. I believe this was reasonable since the correction for HER ERROR will cost more than $145. Marta, OWNER, is GREEDY and has NO customer service skills. She does not reply to me to resolve this amicably and switched from offering me a refund of $145 to saying her FINAL OFFER since I am "TAKING ADVANTAGE OF HER" is $145 of **CREDIT** to come back to her salon. -- LOL NO WAY! This whole situation has been a nightmare and a normal salon owner would admit their MASSIVE error, but instead, here I am, writing this review for the world to see on every platform I can share it on. I cannot see this new salon being successful in Glenview. The business practices are horrendous and the services match. Cheers.

Recently, my mom had a stroke and has a hard time getting around but Roza accommodates her and makes sure she's comfortable and well taken care of. She won't go anywhere else. Ever. When I got to the salon, check in was quick, the front desk kindly asked to hang up my coat, and there was no wait time (despite arriving slightly early for my appointment). You could also request a refreshment, and they have one of the most extensive coffee menus I've ever seen! The wash, cut, and styling were all done seamlessly, with my stylist periodically asking clarifying questions along the way. I paid at the door, and inquired when I should be back. Another staff member knowledgeably mentions about 6-8 weeks to maintain the shape of the cut. Everyone was so warm and kind. Not to mention, there's great parking in the front and in the alley.
