I am definitely a fan of Escape, but they are not quite at the level of "as good as it gets." No surprise that Escape is located in a light industrial development - aren't all craft breweries located in such developments? Well, not all, but a lot. While the outside of the building is pretty sterile, the inside is pretty cool. They used a travel theme for the decor. There's a lot to see including an electric train, tropical tiki stuff, and a host of other sights. I guess they do provide a short vacation with their beer offerings. Speaking of the beer, it is very good. I am a hop guy, and they do not disappoint. I have had the Lazy Day IPA, which is on the lighter side, and the Civil Disturbances, a decent West Coast. The beer that really stands out for me though is the Moon Pidgeon hazy pale ale. It is a very drinkable pale ale with some good depth of flavor. Service has been friendly and efficient. They have a cooler with cans of some of their flagship brews. I have not purchased cans, but I would not hesitate to do so if I needed some cans of fine beer. Recommended for a nice fresh pint or a growler fill. read more

Found this place on our way back from Forest Falls. Great space!! Outdoor seating. Staff was friendly. Beer reasonably priced and very tasty! Loved the pinball! Staff wearing masks and enforcing patrons do too (unless eating or drinking at a table). Only ding is there is only 1 shared bathroom (that i could see). When we went it wasn't busy, but I can imagine the line for the restroom gets long when this place is popping. We will definitely return and try some of their other brews!! read more

After being here once before I decided to go back and give it another try and they did not let me down. My husband had a pour of the "it's tricky" and I had a pour of the "oops I sherbert again" with a taster of sakura. The beers were so fresh and full of flavor the sherbert treated as if the dropped a scoop of sherbert right in it. They were amazing and workers were very helpful at helping us choose our options. read more

Escape is very cute inside (outside it's just an industrial park). The decorations have a fun feel (especially the model train). It's spacious with plenty of seating, different sections to hang out in, an area for kids and lots of games. I really enjoy their trivia nights; the company that does it (Pour House I think) provides a challenging (but not too ridiculous) quiz and high-speed rounds. I do have a couple of complaints though. The prices are a little high in my opinion. Also, we were there on a warm night and the massive fans were working overtime which left me wishing I brought in eye drops because I was so windswept by the end of the night. Overall though, a very enjoyable brewery. read more

What a fun place! All of the beers my party tried were loved across the board. The apps we had were super yummy: shishito peppers and peas, brussels sprouts and pizza were all super great!!! Lots of room here inside and out even on a saturday evening. The outdoor patio was lovely and comfortable. read more

If you're looking for an escape from the everyday doldrums, Escape Craft Brewery is the place to go. I'm a huge fan of their sours, but everything on the tap is just as good. The service is friendly and fast and the place has a great motif. Oh, if you're a dog lover, Escape is just the place to bring your pup. read more

Parking: Plenty of parking in the lot, in the afternoon on a Friday. Drinks: All the drinks are good and lots of variety, including a flights taste tester. Decent pricing. Lots of fun games to play at the brewery. Nice atmosphere. Good service. 1 restroom for one person at a time. read more

Ok!! My wife and I went to Escape Brewery for their soft opening at their new location....on Oriental Ave next to J Rileys. First confession is in the past I was never a fan of their beer. My wife liked how cute the brewery was so we went. So today we went to look at their new place. Wow! I was impressed with the set up and how they renovated an old brick building into a welcoming place to hang. Next, I ordered a beer. Their red, the Irish Crossfit. It was great. In the past it was ok......a little lite in the mouthfeel. This time.......spot on! Next, I found my courage and ordered one of their IPAs....the Round Trip IPA. Again a home run! My wife liked their hard seltzer. All good! Next was the food. We had the Spaniard Pizza and their burger and fries. Another homerun! love this place. Josh and Melissa you have made a great place to hang and have great beer and food. We will be back. Maybe we need to set up a credit union loan to pay our bills! BTW, their new location is on ORIENTAL AVE. CALL FOR RSVPs. read more

I almost never give a 5-star review. Several friends and I went on a Brewery cruise in Redlands last Saturday and Escape Brewery was one of the breweries on the list. It also ended up being my favorite of the three we visited. There was plenty of parking on a Saturday afternoon. The beer was tasty and reasonably priced. The atmosphere was comfortable and inviting. The service was friendly. Definitely worth a repeat visit. As an additional bonus, the J.Riley Distillery is across the parking lot. read more

Small town brewery feel. This is a great small brewery to go to in the Redlands area. It is uniquely decorated inside and staff is friendly. Plenty of seating and dog friendly. There is a great selection beers to choose from. There were 13 to choose from at the time of this review. Flights are decently priced. 4 for 8$ and 6 for 10$. No food is prepared, but there are prepackaged snacks sold here. I will be back when I am in the area and a perfect recommendation for friends. read more

Great vibes in this place. I was turned on to the taproom location after hitting up the downtown Oasis a couple weeks ago and I was not disappointed. Ryan was our tapmeister and he made some excellent recommendations based on my limited IPA palate. There are a ton of sitting areas, though to be fair they were they were very slow on a Tuesday evening. The dudes at Jerk Grill were there with some super savory chicken tacos and fries (the fries were better than the tacos). This place has a ton of potential and I'm psyched to make it a regular hangout spot. read more

Escape Craft Brewery is the 4th such place to locate itself in Redlands; and let me tell you; its a very welcome addition. I'd heard about this place quite by accident on Facebook a couple weeks ago the day after they had their "soft opening". And since I'm a fan of good craft beer, I had to give them a try. Escape is located in a little plaza/industrial park right behind Bravo Burgers and near the USPS Sorting Facility. Its almost a "blink and you've missed it" kind of place. The wife and I paid a visit this past Sunday and were quite impressed. The decor of the place is all vacation, travel, and "escape" themed and is quite whimsical and fun. The seating is plentiful, with tables made from old doors from the La Posada Hotel, a bank of seats from a C-134 Transport plane, an area for kids, a hangar-door that opens to outside seating, and even a chalkboard with "Oh the places you'll go..." title to tally up all the exotic places their patrons have been to. The employees themselves were very friendly and welcoming. Melissa, one of the co-owners, really knows her stuff! In fact, everyone we spoke to there were knowledgeable about beer in general and were very helpful and welcoming. Of course - we were there to sample the beers. Wife had their Vanilla Sunset ale. It was light and refreshing with noticeable vanilla tones to it. She found it very delicious. I myself had their tasting flight. Of this, the two I liked the most was the Destination Brown and R&R Red Rye IPA. The latter of which was refreshing with orange notes imparted from the variety of hops they use. Even the wife liked this one, and she's not an IPA gal at all. I give this place four very solid stars. We plan to visit this place fairly often to see how it, as well as their beer selection, evolves before a 5th stsr is given. They are certainly a welcome addition to the Inland Empire Craft Beer scene. read more

Now that my body's finally catching up to my drinking habits (f- you Asian glow), I can enjoy mild-moderate drinking without feeling like death and having to claw for fresh water five minutes into it. So those that share(d) my problem can imagine my elation that I can finally go day drinking and not have to worry about falling asleep or going off into the corner to ...Escape all the noise to keep the Asian glow headache from getting worse. Escape Craft Brewery is a nice little place tucked into some industrial/office plaza that follows the travel/getaway/...Escape theme with globes, maps, luggage, etc. Pretty cool. I love a place that follows a theme. Now, I'm no expert on beer (see first paragraph) but I am an expert of things that taste good. And the Redlands Nights Orange Blossom Blonde tastes good. So does the Midnight Express Stout. Damn, even their water tastes good (water is a blessing. See first paragraph). That's as far as I got with the beer, but my friends (the lucky few) seemed to greatly... emphatically... overindulging-ly... enjoy their beers. BeerS. Plural. Like a lot. "Nah bro, I'm good. I'm not drunk." was the phrase of the late afternoon as they half stumbled, half crawled into the backseat of their own car. I question if it's because they really enjoyed the beers or if they just really enjoy drinking in general... But oh well, I enjoyed my beer. Probably the only downside was the price, but hey, it's "craft beer, bro. it's good." Bonus: They have a child's play area tucked into the corner, perfect for "that guy" in your group of friends. They also have more games like big jenga and a swing-a-ring-attached-to-a-rope-onto-a-hook game that were pretty fun. read more

Alley gives this place a thumbs up based on the bowl of cool water right by the register. They are pet and kid friendly with toys, art supplies and games. They also have a juke box so you can pick your fav jams. The beer....well that's an escape in itself with flavors like cherry blossoms and Dragon fruit. Give this place a try...and escape the daily routine. read more

I was introduced to this place by my niece, and I'm glad she brought me here. The brews are great, the people are awesome, and the atmosphere is inviting and friendly. I have tried several different brews and have yet to find a favorite, they are ALL good. Well worth a trip out to come here. You will not be sorry. read more

Amazing place. Don't drive up and have the outside fool you. Very cool inside ample room games great beer tenders, merch and tasty beer. Fun place to hang out and have a good time with people you or or to meet new ones. First time visitor and I found this place to be very relaxing and laid back. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable on the beers, they have flights of 4 or 6 beers to choose from I had the flight of 4 and thoroughly enjoyed the "carried away and survived" tasting. Seating is socially distanced and the restroom is non -gendered specific. They have a music machine if you want to select songs to listen to, not sure if there is a separate charge for that. The venue is located in an industrial area strip mall with other businesses so it seems non descriptive from the outside, but once inside you can see why it's called Escape. They do have various snacks to choose from inside and a food vendor outside offering food. On this particular day was all things jerk. We had the jerk fries and jerk boneless wings (cut chicken pieces). The fries were a good size serving and good ,but the chicken wings were tasty and spicy we received about 5 pieces for the order. Loved this location and will definitely come back to try the other beers and food. read more

It's been a while since I've been seriously wow'd by a brewery. Damn, you guys made some great beer! Humorously enough, the place is nigh surrounded by small churches and religious stuff. Talk about living up to its name. Of course that's not the real reason, because once you step inside, you will be greated with the great theme of traveling! And what better stuff than actual seated rows that were used in airplanes! DAAAAANG! Talk about giving people things to talk about while enjoying their brews! As you'll see in the pictures listed, there is a lot to see (luggage, furniture made from nuts-n-bolts, tables from airline windows, and so on) and drink. And they have a life time membership available, though I wasn't overly impressed with it as I've seen offered at other breweries. However, it's still a nice step in the right direction. The beers are excellent. They are definitely working hard to stand out amongst all the other breweries with their concoctions. Don't ever stop, you two, you're doing awesome! read more

Even with the recent opening of the Escape taproom near downtown Redlands, the original (a.k.a. Barrelhouse) location is still one of the best places in the area to grab a beer. This laid-back location usually has at least a dozen varieties on tap, and the brewery is spacious and pet-friendly. Lauren is a fantastic bartender! Though this spot does not sell its own food like the new location, there are often local food vendors on site. read more

The owners are amazing!! My husband and I had come here several times and we loved it so much we had our wedding reception here! What the owners did for us in preparing the room expansion and getting it done in time was just AMAZING. Escape is the new kid in town and still working out a few kinks. A couple of taps were dry and I'm guessing they are still purchasing their fleet of glassware as some offerings were served in plastic cups. We tried the Brown, the Stout, and the Red Rye IPA. All were unique interpretations and very enjoyable. The decor exceeds anything our other local craft brewers have going, making the experience all the more enjoyable. The owner has a keen eye for whimsy and repurposing. I'd guess that as they work out the kinks and move forward, Escape will be a valued part of the craft brew community and will be here for a very long, successful time. read more

Stopped by while in the area and I'm glad I did. Everything I tried was all solid, no misfires at all. They have plenty of different styles so a little something for everyone. Nice assortment of snacks to buy in case there's no food trucks. Family and dog friendly. One of the best in the area. read more

A local craft brewery located in an industrial warehouse complex. Really cool decor reflecting their "escape" theme: airline seats, vintage suitcases, travel trunks, hotel artifacts and more. They boast over a dozen crafts & support them with to go liters and growlers. Many of their pours are fruit flavored with the likes of raspberries, lemons, oranges and grapefruit - yes grapefruit! Their sampler comes with a combo of the top 7 varieties and an option to add their Hef & R&R Raspberry. Not a fan of drinking beer in small plastic cups - even samples - but that's what you get. As for their beer - too much fruit doesn't make for a great tasting brew. The Lazy Day IPA was about the only beer I could enjoy along with the Midnight Express Stout - rich, powerful coffee!! Nice work! Definitely a return destination to try their new releases and a shot at redemption. It's beer right!? 5 stars for decor, atmosphere and service. 2 stars for the beer. read more

As Redlands locals, we wanted to create a welcoming space where people could find their escape from the mundane chores of life & experience great craft beer with friends & family. After creating & experimenting with countless brews at home over the last 8 years, we made the jump to a full blown brewery & tasting room. I took the beer back and confronted the beer tender because I couldn't believe they would substitute a completely different beer without saying anything. If you're out of a beer or trying to sell your Daily Bread beer, at least be upfront about it. I'm paying for the beer I ordered, and I expect to receive the same Mexican Lager--not a different beer substituted without my knowledge. That kind of lack of honesty makes for a really unpleasant experience. After years of coming here, this was incredibly disappointing. I expected much better.
