    We were "purged"
    Brandon P.

Escape Game Knoxville may be my favorite escape room business I've ever participated in. We chose to do the "Purge" based room. Our escape room group has completed 12 escape rooms and lost only 2. This is one of those two rooms. Now, with me saying that we lost - you would think we would've left in bad spirits but honestly, this was the hardest but best escape room I've ever done. It made you think hard. It forced communication. It requires your undivided attention and camaraderie among your team just to make progress in moving forward. Needless to say, I'm a fan. I plan to come back to EGK and redo the purge as well as participate in some of the other rooms such as Villains Lair. I highly recommend you check out EGK when you're in Knoxville!

We had such a great time - the Villains room was really challenging and clever. We will definitely be coming back for the other rooms.

He verbally put her down in front of the whole crowd that was about to go to the course. Extremely unprofessional and I feel like if y'all have a high turnover rate, it's because of Ben. The gentleman in the ropes course, I wish I could remember his name. He was so kind and professional, he would joke with the younger kids and make them laugh, go out on the course in a moments notice to help someone, and was all around in a good mood. He was having a good time and making sure the customers were too. So was the younger girl that Ben verbally attacked in front of everyone. Both the staff in the tree tops were fantastic, extremely helpful, and a pleasure to be around. I do feel bad for anyone that has to work with Ben though. If he was my manager I would quit before the first day was over.

Spend a few hours in the tree tops and get a challenging workout (if you try the advanced courses)…read more Navitat is a great outdoor activity for all ages. It combines a ropes course that utilizes climbing safety gear with a zip lining course. There are several levels from beginner to advanced. Each course has obstacles that require you to walk/maneuver across. The course is designed so your are always locked onto a cable system that is very stable. So, you can "fall" and be okay. I've seen small kids to older people doing these courses and it's a lot of fun. If you are strong/tough, you can still find some pretty intense challenges here. I was sweating on their advanced one because it requires a good bit of strength and balance in some places. But, my 11 year old son managed it. So, it's not overly crazy. Staff are top notch. I've been here about 5 times over the past 2 years and they've always done a thorough initial training and made sure you're comfortable. Also, they have good advice and a positive attitude. Tips/random things: 1) wear closed top shoes. If you forget, they have some extras. 2) they have water and cups at the center hub that leads to the rope courses. 3) free lockers for your phone, wallet, etc. 4) helmets, gloves, harness/gear is provided. 5) you can reserve a time online or just go to Ijams and do it there. I've done it both ways. 6) If you go a lot, they have a membership and punch pass option. 7) they offer evening times and the course is illuminated with Christmas lights. 8) Ijams has free EV charging if you drive an EV. Overall: Love it. Glad we have Navitat in Knoxville! Highly recommended.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel others should be aware of my experience…read more We reserved a UTV for myself and my two younger sons, while my 13-year-old rode an ATV. Before riding, I completed all required waivers and disclosures. I encourage anyone considering this activity to read every line carefully. What stood out to me afterward is that nowhere in the reservation process or waiver did it state that simply tipping an ATV results in an automatic $150 fee. The only notice we saw was a sign near the vehicle staging area--after we had already paid. I was initially hesitant about allowing my 13-year-old to ride independently because he has limited ATV experience. The trails aren't extreme, but they are technical enough that prior riding experience would be very beneficial. The only instruction we received before heading out covered the farm rules--ride sober, maintain distance between vehicles, and other basic operational rules. There was no instruction or guidance on how to actually operate or navigate the ATV, how to handle uneven terrain, or how to avoid situations that could cause it to tip. Interestingly, I was specifically warned by the manager to keep my UTV centered on the trail or it could tip. That same warning was not given to my son riding the ATV. Unfortunately, he drifted slightly onto the embankment, and the ATV slowly tipped onto its side. Thankfully, he wasn't injured at all--just embarrassed. It was a relatively minor incident, and had he known to lean his body weight into the embankment, it likely could have been avoided. My son was extremely upset because he immediately realized we had likely incurred the $150 flip fee. The tour guide reassured him by patting him on the back and saying, "Don't worry, this thing is fine." He explained to me that the mandatory $150 fee covered the oil change and filter replacement after an ATV tips onto its side and that the fee was not flexible, but thankfully the ATV itself appeared to be fine. Imagine my surprise when I later received not only the $150 flip fee but an additional $108.25 charge for handlebar replacement. The following day, I returned respectfully and simply asked to see a photo of the damage or the damaged handlebars themselves. I wasn't asking for an argument--I just wanted documentation supporting the additional charge. I was initially told I might be able to see the ATV. After the front manager stepped away to speak with the manager in the back, she returned and informed me that they could no longer show me photos or the damage because the ATV had already been sent to the mechanic. The timing of that response was difficult to ignore. My disappointment isn't that accidents happen or that businesses need to recover repair costs. I fully understand that equipment can be damaged and customers should be responsible when appropriate. My disappointment is with the lack of transparency. If an automatic flip fee exists, it should be clearly disclosed before payment. If additional damage charges are assessed, customers should be provided evidence of that damage when requested. The entire experience left me feeling that the process lacked transparency, and undermined my confidence in the fairness of the charges. I hope the business will consider making its policies more visible upfront and documenting any additional damage charges so future customers don't leave feeling the same way I did.

You can tell a lot of thought went into the tech and set design--it made the whole thing really immersive without feeling overwhelming or confusing. A few of the moms with us had never done an escape room before, and they all felt comfortable, had a great time, and already want to go again. That says a lot! Huge shoutout to Jimmy--he was awesome. He showed us some of the other rooms beforehand and made the whole experience even better. They also took our group photo and sent it to us almost immediately, which was such a nice touch. And one thing I really appreciated: it didn't feel stressful or intimidating at all. No weird pressure or trying to scare us--it was just genuinely fun from start to finish. Highly recommend if you're looking for something different for a night out!

We loved it so much we played Midnight Monster Madness, then Tracking Bigfoot, and ended with One Hit Wonder. When I tell you these rooms were some of our favorite escape rooms ever, I'm not exaggerating. We had a blast. We finished every room with 15-17 mins left, and only asked for 2 hints total. These rooms are challenging but not 'my brain hurts' level. I even got a free t shirt for my birthday! Our game master was my favorite one yet, and we've had some good ones! We've played over 100 escape rooms and this one is definitely top 3 for me! We're excited to come back to play their seasonal rooms when they open. If you're ever in the Knoxville area (or pigeon forge/Gatlinburg) and want something fun to do, make the trip. You won't regret it!
