Came here with my two kids and my friend and his wife and their daughter. We did Egyptian themed room, lead by Brooklyn. I felt the difficulty was just right for the kids (aged 11-14) to enjoy themselves and participate and figure out some clues legitimately while the parents were still needed too. Juuuust right for a family or folks who might not be escape room pros. We had a good time and got out with 7 minutes to spare. It wasn't too cramped in there with 6 people. I've been here a couple of times and it's definitely my favorite escape room here. They have about 6 rooms and they describe the difficulty level, how many players are allowed and current availability on the website. This information is really helpful. The staff is always friendly and they walk you through the game if you want when you don't escape. The parking could be the biggest problem depending on when you go because it's downtown. Fortunately, I was able to get a parking spot almost across from it during the times I went. read more

You'll have to park at one of the public parking lots and it's a short walk from there to the building. My husband and I did the After Hours room which was fun! This was our first time doing and escape room with this company. You do have only 3 hints but we were able to escape with just 2 hints! The escape room itself was a lot of fun and involved multiple rooms which was exciting. The effects were really good. We broke out with 8min and 11sec to spare. read more

The staff here is incredible!!! We have done escape rooms many many times and this one was better than most. I wish the rooms were a bit bigger but that is hard to do in the Charleston buildings. There is a lot in a small space. We were a walk in and the staff was very friendly and helpful to fit us in their schedule. We did the witches den which was really cool and creepy but it was just very dark. If you struggle seeing in dark spaces I would chose a different room. However they had a lot of easy things to figure out and a lot of hard things. I would not recommend it for beginners. Will definitely come back next time we are in Charleston! read more

My wife and our 12 year old daughter love doing escape rooms while on vacation. We let our daughter pick which room to do and she went with the 80s themed After Hours room. We did The Egyptian Chamber and really enjoyed the effects and scenery of the room. It incorporated several aspects and mechanisms that were very unique and I haven't seen in an escape room before. Clearly lots of love was put into this room and I really enjoy many local, independent-business rooms for this reason. My only (minor) suggestions that would have made my review a five star rating: 1) adding a calculator to use as a tool - some people, like myself, truly are THAT bad at math - and 2) adding some ambient noise or music. It was too quiet for comfort. Even just a generic crackling fire soundtrack for the lanterns would help fill the silence. I do appreciate the "clue" sound being Egyptian-sounding to help with immersion. The staff was very friendly - especially our Game Master, Pete, who provided good clues and helped us along the way with extra hints to confirm we were on the right track when we weren't sure. Overall, I enjoyed Escape in 60 and would definitely check out some of their other rooms. read more

The room we chose was the Egyptian Chamber. Great props and puzzles. The puzzles were in good condition. We had a group of seven. And it was challenging but fun. One of our vacation highlights! Do this with a group next time you're in town! We had so much fun!!! We did the Egyptian Temple and were SO close to solving it!! We would have gotten out, but the game host informed us that some props did not work correctly although we had too much fun to notice. I will say, 2 of the 3 rooms we did had issues with puzzles not working, and staff had to come in and help because the things didn't work as expected, or they had to give us a code... so that's a little disappointing when you spend $ on it. Started our room late. We did the Las Vegas Roulette room. Figured out a lot of puzzles quickly but they wouldn't work so some doors never opened or took several attempts to open. For the more difficult puzzles we would ask for a clue and it took 5-10 minutes to get a response. The whole point of an escape room is to be able to escape...can't do that if your stuff doesn't work or if your staff can't give clues promptly. Now you have customers leaving defeated. read more

This was my 5th escape room (2nd at this place), as I'm not big into playing them. My daughter loves escape rooms and has played over 20+. We played the Egypt room just the 2 of us due to the COVID rules. The room was great....I would even play it again. Everything tied into the theme of the room. Everything worked properly! My daughter prefers to play without hints, as it was just the two us she let me request 2 hints. The hints were very well written that pointed in the right direction without giving it away. The game master was great, she was clearly watching our room. (We have played somewhere else where the game master was watching multiple rooms or just wasn't watching ours at all.) If you don't normally do escape rooms: the decor and theming were great. Downside was on one of our rooms. The game master wasn't available to give hints the last quarter of our game. The hints we got were automated and were things we already knew. Read no further. However, if you love escape rooms and done many this is not a place for you. We did 2 rooms during our trip. Worst rooms I have ever done. First room used riddles and word puzzles that were not precise with multiple right answers. The second room that was the expert room didn't provide more than a variety puzzle booked themed as an escape room. Expert room was easy due to the logic not being broken. First room was hard due to puzzle design being for one persons opinion. read more

What an awesome fun experience. Not to rehash all the logistics of an escape room event, but this was fantastic from start to finish. There are 4 different rooms here and we selected the prison break room. They can take up to 8 people, so you may be mixed in with some new friends. We were a group of 6 and no one else booked, so 6 was our total. Eight people may have been too much, especially if you all didn't know each other. Let me start off by saying. JACOB our Game God was fantastic. He was humorous and very friendly and clever with the hints. Very helpful and told us about a very interesting up coming room they have in the works. If only i lived closer i would definitely go back again. The room: Davy Jones Locker.... Hands down the best escape room by far. Being semi familiar with the game play already my family tore up the room. The room was very well designed, the decor fit the theme and the riddles were funny and crazy clever. It wasnt too hard (intermediate to advance) but be sure to manage your time wisely and not focus on one thing for too long. That 60 minutes flys by quick. Towards the final 15 minutes we raped the room desperately looking for the last few clues. I dont want to give anything away so ill just leave it at that. Listen to NIKE... JUST DO IT!! Tips: + Its good for Teens and adults. (+50 years young) + If you can read your good lol. (My parents speak thai so we did a bit of translating and they still found clues and had a blast) + You get to test your skills. Great place to adventure into the escape room hobby. I have attempted every room here and was successful with all but The Prison Escape. I like the new one The Egyptian Room based on that it's simple but also there's plenty to do in the room. There's not extra props and clutter used to distract the players. We had a great experience last night at Escape in 60. We brought in a group of cousins to do the ransom room. Despite having some scaredy cats in our group we had a ton of laughs and a few great jump scares. Bellamy was our game master and was incredible.
