As an Amex Platinum holder we get access to this lounge. It's the worst of the network concerning service and especially the front desk. Service not great especially at the front desk. I come here once a month for the last 2 years as a physician working for the State. People here have a lazy attitude and slow with no service and don't expect much in the foodie side at all. It doesn't get better with each visit!

The Escape Lounge in the Reno-Tahoe Airport is wonderful. I'm in there several times a month; sometimes once or twice a week! The staff there is very nice, friendly and accommodating. Many have been there since the lounge's grand-opening. The food choices rotate, and the cook, Angela always makes wonderful offerings perfect for a nice preflight meal. Selena, Karen and Heather are always happy to see me and are wonderful people to spend time with while in the RNO airport. Need an AMEX Platinum or equivalent to gain access. Lounge is located in the middle passageway between the B & C gates next to the McDonalds. Enjoy!

Lovely American Express lounge at Reno Tahoe Airport conveniently located on the main thoroughfare right after security. Fresh food, drinks, comfortable lounge.

Lame. very small. Attitude on check in wasn't stellar either. Was told I had to come back 30 minutes later - policy is no access up to 3 hours before departure. Seriously? that's the entire point of an airport lounge - when you're stuck at an airport. On top of that I was ill after eating something there. stay away and try McDonald's next door! Beautiful views!

It's a small outlet but we never look too hard for inadequate services or food when we visit these lounges. For a traveler, these lounges can be a Godsend especially if delayed. While there wasn't much as far as food, it was fresh, the employees are nice, and these small benefits do help offset your yearly fees.

Small but mighty. I was not expecting much since it's such a small airport but I was pleasantly surprised. There was no wait time when we arrived. We easily found seating. The food was okay. I got eggs, potatoes and yogurt with fruit. Food tasted good. Service was welcoming. Definitely a good experience.

Don't judge a book by its cover. Yes this escape lounge is tiny, but the food was delicious and service was great. We came for breakfast. Eggs, sausage, and potato's came individually prepared. Coffee was freshly ground. Views of the runway were nice. Overall great experience.

For such a small Airport, this is a great luxury... There's always chips, salsa hummus, and deli needs to be had... You take a gamble on the heated food sometimes it's good sometimes it's but it's free with your entry into the escape lounge The staff is always friendly and greet you with a smile. It's a great way to start your travels. There's a little room for improvement on the hot food and bring back chocolate lol

Loved everything about the Escape Lounge! The space was clean, organized, and inviting. They had a fantastic selection of drinks - something for everyone. As someone with gluten-free restrictions, I was really impressed with the food options. The Korean chicken was the star of the show - perfectly balanced sweet and spicy, and delicious! It was also great to have some grab-and-go options for those on a tight schedule. Shoutout to the amazing staff! Connie was friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked in. Mary and Michelle did a fantastic job keeping the tables clean, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. One recommendation would be as Reno keeps growing, we soon will need a bigger space. We were a party of 6 and it took a minute to find a spot for us.

We landed from San Diego and just happened to walk by this lounge and decided to check it out. We love Centurion lounges, but this one is much smaller, though has a full bar and food. Also, a nice perk of the Centurion® Studio Partner: A Card Member may bring up to two guests! Unfortunately, the coffee machine was broken. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Service was excellent. We were really impressed with the overall experience. It's not a high end Centurion experience, but the overall experience was good and the food was great. We had granola, broccoli, and chicken and rice. If I were to suggest an improvement, the chairs could be sturdier and more comfortable.

This place has a friendly, happy quiet atmosphere while waiting for a flight. The food is delicious with hot and cold items, including proteins, oatmeal and fruits. An expression machine is present. Different types of milk and creamers are in the fridge. The staff has always been professional, proficient and personable, especially Karen, who remembers me each time I visit. She greets me with a smile and questions about the family I am visiting, etc. Also, Heather is very friendly and proficient as she helps keep things running smoothly and neatly.

    They are slacking!!! Not clean!

While the gal at the bar is super nice, I'm disappointed that they don't have bottle water cold and available for grab and go. More importantly, it's not clean! And all four times I've been in here so far , there are always three or four seating areas marked "reserved"! Please tidy up!

It's so nice to have a lounge in Reno. The food is catered from a local restaurant. I loved the deviled eggs. The coffee was actually excellent. There is a machine for making specialty drinks also. Service was great. Shannon was at the bar and was very kind. She was also a wiz behind the bar. Despite a relatively crowded lounge, the drinks were coming out at an astounding pace. Thank you Shannon for the great service and the extra effort.

This is a staging area for all of the helicopters and water jets, so very exciting. Air races are always fun here and my kids come a few days early, before they close everything off, and get to watch the practice runs for free LOL. Quite often, the pilots are sitting around their jets and invite the kids to get up inside the cockpit, and explore. Amazing support for local flyers and children alike. Once or twice a year they also have the young eagles event here where kids get to fly for free. They have a huge group of pilots, with the help civil air patrol cadets, take kids up for a small flight so they get to have the excitement and hopefully stimulate an interest in being a future pilot.

We make these treks of homage to those who Serve and who have Served because it means that those who wear the U.S. Armed Forces uniform or did wear the uniform were and are remembered The Reno-Stead Airport is a 5,000 or so acre lead general aviation facility owned and operated by the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority. It began in response to the deadly attack against the United States Naval Base Pearl Harbor in Hawaii Territory, on December 7, 1941. In 1942, the U.S. Army Air Corps started construction of the now clearly strategically located Reno Army Airport and Air Base. In 1951, the air base was renamed Stead Army Air Base to honor Nevada Native Lt. Croston Stead of the Nevada Air National Guard, who dies at age 27 on December 11, 1949, while training in a mock dog fight in a North American Aviation P-51 Mustang. The P-51 Mustang is an elegant American long-range, single-seat fighter and fighter-bomber used during World War II and the Korean War, among other conflicts. July 15, 1958, the 3635th Crew Training Wing was redesignated as the 3635th Flying Training Wing (Advanced), concurrent with the relocation of the USAF Helicopter Pilot School to Stead. The airbase served as the U.S. Air Force Strategic Air Command's Survival School, Flying Training Wing and Reno Air Defense Sector, a training center for some 80,000 U.S. Army, Navy, Marine, Air Force, and foreign officers, as well as most of the pre-1965 NASA astronauts. The military officers attended classroom instruction on basic survival, evasion and escape. Their field training was to learn to survive with instructors simulating enemy trying to capture the students. The Survival classroom and field training lasted 15-21 days. In the 1960's inventor and promoter Bill Lear, founder of Lear Aviation and the Lear Jet, established operations at Stead which continued until the end of his life in 1978. In 1963, the U.S. Congress scheduled the base to close, along with 25 other military bases throughout the country. In 1966, the base was transferred to civilian ownership, and in June of 1966, it began operating as Reno-Stead Airport. In 1967, Maj. Robert E. Schricker, Purple Heart and Air Medal recipient, retired from a 27 year career as a USAF fighter pilot and became Chief Pilot for the AG Academy, now moved to Stead. Actress and air race pilot Susan Oliver, got her multi engine pilot license there in 1968. Susan Oliver played the female lead character Vina in "The Cage" (1964), which was the first pilot of Gene Roddenberry's then new show, Star Trek. The FAA Registry shows her to have earned commercial pilot ratings for airplane single engine land, airplane multiengine land, instrument airplane, and private privileges for glider. Here was the launch site of "Earthwinds" meteorological balloon system in the early 1990s, which attempted and failed multiple times to circumnavigate the globe. Since 1966, Reno-Stead Airport has been home to military operations including but not limited to Army Aviation Support Facility, and the 189th General Support Aviation Battalion of the Nevada Army National Guard, flying CH-47 Chinook helicopters. It is the birthplace of the Lear Fan, and home to the National Championship Air Races. It is home to several hundred tenants. It is home to U.S. Bureau of Land Management's Stead Air Attack Base aka Biggest Little Tanker Base aka Biggest Little Air Attack Tanker Base, that provides the required air support during regional wildfires. With Global Warming creating significant Climate Change, the importance and value of the Biggest Little Air Attack Tanker Base increases each year. On December 16, 2013, the new Reno-Stead Airport Terminal Building, The Freedom Flight Terminal which is dedicated to America's Veterans who Serve or have Served in the U.S. Armed Forces, opened to serve the General Aviation community. The two-story, 12,000 sq ft building provides an Emergency Operations Center, Administrative Office, Community Conference Room, a Pilot's Lounge, and a museum. The museum, named "Reno-Stead: A Proud History," has some 65 pieces of memorabilia and hundreds of photographs, collected from Service Members and their families. A video also depicts the training that took place at the survival school and pays tribute to the some 80,000 men and women who trained here. The museum is open to the public Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. It is free of charge.
