    Smash burger
    Myrriah C.

Royce's is a Reno classic. With an amazing drink menu, convenient location and always friendly staff, this is a must visit for locals and visitors alike. Hands down the best smash burger in Reno. While the menus offered a wide selection you can go wrong with just the classics. The space is small but well thought out with plenty of seating and shared spaces to meet new people. I highly recommend stopping in for a drink and a great burger.

Must eat here! So, so good. Loved the pork belly and wing. We also had the frenchifry burger that was really good as well! We loved sitting outside and enjoying the Reno skyline! It was really busy here on a Friday night, so expect to wait a tad bit for your food!

So the wife and I been wanting to go here for a while. We finally did it was busy but we got a table. Wife ordered food and drinks. Inside is small so we sat outside. Cool vibe all around staff is friendly. Burger was yummy and so were the wings! We will definitely be back! Cheers

I love going to Royce on a lovely Sunday afternoon when they open at noon, all other days 4pm. Sometimes I go on a Saturday and realize nope not till 4pm -10pm. Since I found Royce, it's my go to burger joint! The flavor of the meat, the toasted bun, the melted cheese running down the burger, oh my goodness, it's heavenly! I love the shoestring fries, pairs perfectly with the burger and the fry sauce is my favorite! The guys that run the bar are so nice, friendly and accommodating to your needs. They have anice patio seating or if you're lucky enough you can sit at the bar and they'll wait on you there, instead of waiting in line! I always like how they give you a 45 minute warning before you order in case you're in a rush. This is not a fast food establishment, this is a place who provides outstanding food and worth the wait!

I've now had 3 of the burgers and the power rankings goes: 1. Royce 2. Frenchified 3. BBQ 5 stars

Yummy. I have been trying to eat here for awhile. It seemed as though every time I would be by there they were super busy and I did not want to wait. The service is good and the atmosphere is chill. The burgers are really good and the fries were super good. Glad I was able to finally try them.

Yes, the burger is good. However, my michelada was weak. I'm glad I got a side of salad because the French burger did not come with any vegetables at all. The outdoor seating is nice, but 45 minute wait on food at 5pm on a Sunday was a little rough. Also took forever to close our bill. It was already getting very busy when we left so get there early if you want food!

    Japanese Wings

We came in at 4:30 on a Saturday night before a basketball game. As we walked up to the counter, the wait time for food changed from 45 min to 1 hour. I understand restaurants can be busy but an hour is a long time to wait for a burger. Our food runner delivered our wings for our appetizer and didn't ask us if we were okay and needed anything else. At Royce, you order at the bar and don't get assigned a server at your table. Therefore, I feel that it's very important the food runners check in with you because they'll be your only point of contact throughout the night. And unfortunately, I ran into a problem. The Japanese wings were burnt and overcooked. I had to get up, find a food runner, and figure out if they could make me a new set of wings. They did and the second set turned out way better than the first. Our burgers did show up approximately 1 hour after we ordered and they were delicious. Everything just "came together" and tasted wonderful. The ambiance is a very friendly, dark, casual, and gives off a cozy neighborhood bar vibe. Overall I would come back because the burgers were very good.

Royce easily earns 5 stars from me. I ordered the Frenchified burger and it absolutely delivered. Pro tip: ask to substitute fries because it comes with chips by default. The burger had plenty of caramelized onions, which I'm a huge fan of, and everything was packed with flavor. The wait for the food was about an hour, but it was well worth it in the end. Also, don't miss the extra seating tucked away behind the bar if the front looks full. I also opted for their house michelada paired with a shot for $8 (I believe), which was a great deal. Another nice touch was their frequent visitor stamp card. I'll definitely be back and plan on trying the chicken wings next time. I saw so many people ordering them, and they looked absolutely delicious. Royce has a great atmosphere, great food, and easily earned a return visit from me.

I have passed by Royce plenty of times and finally got to go in and around and OMG I love it! On a busy Friday night for my friend's birthday, we hoped inside to an older building with classic decorations, waiting in line we got to figure out our food orders and I noticed all the songs playing on their speakers was punk and rock! From Turnstile to Lambrini Girls, which immediately grabbed my attention and love. I ordered drinks while my boyfriend ordered burgers and we met our friends outside. Royce does a great job at pumping out food on a busy Friday night, I enjoyed the friendliness of the bartenders and the varied seating around the area. Love love loved! I WILL be back.

Finally! We made it to the Royce to try their famous burger and yes, it was wonderful. You order at the bar, take a number and wait. It's small inside so we sat out on the patio. It was a gorgeous day so it worked out. That's not my favorite set up for a meal, I prefer table service but I understand. It took a while to get our food, maybe 30min. It was packed, every table full and standing room only. Great beer selection. Looking forward to going back and trying the whole menu.

Awesome vibe! Nice place for a few drinks and a bite. Prices are reasonable. Service was decent. My burger was good and flavorful. I will be back soon

Royce is my go-to spot for a burger in Reno! I so wish they were open for lunch during the week - as someone who works downtown, I would go more frequently if that was the case. That said, I don't go to Royce nearly enough! Their burgers are my favorite In Reno, and I recommend them to announce who will listen, with an important tip: Visit early! They tend to get very busy (especially on Fridays + Saturdays - they no longer offer takeout on these days), which will extend your wait to order and receive your food. Arriving during peak will also make it more difficult to find a spot to sit, especially when it's too cold or windy to sit outside. I've visited with different groups throughout the year and it's always a pleasure: dinner with a friend, happy hour with coworkers, a burger and a World Series game, you can't beat it! The inside is moody with sports on every tv and the outside is a real treat when the weather is nice. Finally, the food! All the burgers come with double smash patties. I've tried the bbq and frenchified burger and both are delightful. The frenchified is my go-to and has really bold flavor. I always get fries on the side with a ranch. The fries are really great - thin and seasoned really well. I recently tried the cheese curds and they are to die for! The pork belly and shishito peppers were also a hit with the group. Give Royce a try! It really is a Reno gem and hits the spot when a burger craving strikes!

Frenchified: peppercorn dijonnaise, gruyere, caramelised onions. You feel like you're enjoying this in a France.

Is there an option to order a single patty burger?

I'm sure you could order just one patty, they are super accommodating! However the burger patties are VERY thin ( I LOOOVE THAT! ) So basically two patties are like one normal burger patty size, combined. Hope that helps :)

My rant..I'm not from the area so I had NO idea what this place was when I walked by. It looked cute so my husband, myself and child walked up the steps and they sat outside while I went to check it out and see if this was a bar/club/ restaurant. I walked inside and instantly got the death glare from an employee. I instantly said omg I take it this place isn't kid friendly.. he rudely said no. I wanted to clarify and confirm even outside ? He said no. I apologized and they left but the vibe and way he said it was definitely off putting. My sister and I decided to stay for a drink while my husband/child went to walk around. Usually I don't give bad costumer service a chance.. but I realllllllly wanted a drink that one of those others customers were drinking. If this place had better costumer service. It would be a 5
