I was so pleased with the service, especially on my nails. Everyone was very pleasant and the shop was beautiful.

Kim Le did excellent work and was very efficient with my fill when I couldn't get to my usual salon. She also kept the jokes going which bonded us and made the experience delightful overall. I really liked my almond French tip - pleasantly surprised that they don't up charge for French tip at this salon! Natalie did a wonderful job on my French gel pedi. My husband and I had a gift card for a Deluxe Pedicure. I left with nice color and soft legs and feet. The lady was nice but quiet most of the time. She was talking to the other lady that was working. I sat in the massage chair and relaxed. She did a great overall. My husband was happy too! Would go back again. read more

I don't really like writing bad reviews but this experience was so bad that I feel like I should share it. I went in to get my gel x nails removed 2 months ago. I'm writing this review now because I'm still experiencing the effects of getting my nails done here. I went in just wanting to get my gel x extensions removed and to do a simple gel nail polish on my natural nail. The tech wrapped my gel x nails in foil with acetone like how they're supposed to but instead of waiting for the acetone to actually soak off the gel x she kept unwrapping them and drilling them off then wrapping them back up again. She drilled my nails so much to remove the gel x that my natural nails got extremely thin and damaged. Then she told me that she was going to put on a coat of some kind of polish to make it "very strong". I had no idea how badly they were damaged so I just agreed. After polishing my nails they looked pretty good. However, the next day my nails started breaking after doing normal everyday tasks and I realized my real nails were pretty much paper thin under the polish. It was so bad that they were breaking and getting snagged on clothes, my hair and other things and then they would tear off. It hurt and I was scared that they were going to get caught and really rip on something so I called the salon and went in to get the nails that were torn fixed. The tech that fixed them did add an even stronger extension to a few of my nails but it's been 2 months and my nails have continued to break everytime they start growing out and I've even had blood under my nails a few times. My thumb nails are torn all the way down to my finger bed where it starts to feel sensitive. This was the worst experience I've ever had at a nail salon. My nails are only half way grown out since then so they're going to continue to break until the new, stronger nail grows out completely which will probably be another 2 months. I feel like a professional nail tech would know not to rush removing gel x or acrylic and to actually let it soak off instead of being impatient and trying to just drill the heck out of it or else the nail will be damaged. Extremely unprofessional. read more

Escape Nails has an awesome ambience and I love my manicurist, Natalie. I only wished that they would do something about the smell from all the harsh chemicals. Perhaps they need a better HVAC system. Unfortunately, I think this is fairly common in all nail salons. I'm probably being overly sensitive about the smell. read more

It was a Monday, I'd just finished errands, and decided to get my nails done on a whim before waiting for my grand niece to get dropped off from school. Found this cute nail salon on Yelp, and thought I'd give it a try. I had no appointment, and came as a walk in. They were able to accommodate me for a mani - pedi. I ended up being adventurous and wanted a design, in which the nail tech said she loved doing Halloween designs, so I left it to her. She did a fantastic job!! Designs are cute and not over the top (to me at least). I got a deluxe spa pedicure afterwards. Long story short, I felt comfortable, friendly service, not rushed, and I didn't flinch at the prices. Love this salon especially now that I don't get a chance to go very often. I got a basic pedicure today and the lady seemed a bit pushy about me getting gel nails. I don't know if this is just common practice nowadays but I felt kind of guilty and annoyed at the same time. I told her I had to pick my daughter up right after and I told her I know all about getting gel nails. I wanted to tell her I used to get Mani/pedis all the time shellaced (sp?) when I was living on the mainland back in my younger days but why do I have to explain? I just wanted a basic pedicure, not do my own nails for a change and I wanted to relax. She was nice though and did a good job. They weren't super busy today so maybe that's why she seemed a little pushy to me today i don't know. I still like this place. I still tipped 20 percent. I vented honestly about my experience today. This is my nail spot. Being coming here for years. Are always able to fit me in. Have a good variety of colors. Sometime I wish they had some newer things like cat eye but overall good selection. Great freestyle nail designs/art and I can just show them a picture and they make it look just like it. Owners are always there and friendly/joking with repeat customers.
