I love this place. It's not especially glamorous aesthetically, but they do a great job. It's a husband and wife team. The husband is outstanding with my ombré and listens to my request. It's not too hard to get in and when there is a wait, they let you know and give an accurate estime of the wait time. I go through phases where I get my nails done, then I'll stop for 9 months or so. They always remember me and my husband. No complaints. Totally underrated. read more

I'll preface this by saying that customer service is their number one issue and if things had been handled differently, I would be leaving a much different review. First things first, I had an appointment at 5:15. I showed up a little early. A walk in came in about five minutes after I did and was helped immediately. I was told ten more minutes. I asked several times for a fan of available dip colors. Nobody knew what I was talking about. Finally ten minutes later I was brought the samples to browse while I waited. The pedicure was rough and I kept having to repeat what I wanted and point out that the nails were slanted. When we got to my nails, I pointed out a cut on my cuticle that was swollen. The technician squeezed this spot the ENTIRE time. I was near tears. I purposely chose a nude/ballet slipper pink because I have job interviews approaching. At first this appeared to be what I was getting. When she put the final coat on though it was bright Pepto/ Barbie pink. At this point it was already after seven and I have dinner reservations that I'm about to be late for. So I asked about it. I held my hand up to the sample and was told "the sun bleached the sample. Your nails look pretty." So when another employee came by I reiterated my issue and she said "that's the sample the company sent, I can't do anything about that." Jus before 7:00 a couple walked in and requested pedicures. The woman doing my nails told them "we're closed" even though nobody else was working, just hanging around, and one other customer was still waiting on their manicure to be finished, and had been sitting and waiting for over a half hour. I spoke up and said that their sign says they don't close until 7:30. The employee said "Well we don't take new customers after 7" and I pointed out that it was not yet seven. Usually I mind my own business but she was being quite rude to this couple and I was frustrated by the lack of customer ser Update: fewer than 48 hours later, the topcoat is chipping. LEARN TO RUN YOUR BUSINESS.... So I've been going to this place for over a year (strictly getting only pedicures and my eyebrows waxed). There's a husband and wife that are the only ones working (every blue moon their son is there assisting)... Anywho, I got there this morning at approximately 9:10a and waited in the parking lot for them to open, mind you they don't open until 9:30a. The husband and wife arrived approximately at 9:25a. I walked in right behind them and told them I was there to get my normal services. They instantly asked me of I could come later because they have a client on the way to get a manicure, pedicure and eyebrows. So you turn away definite money for potential money??? What business does that? Keep in mind the "appointment" was not yet there. And help me to understand this... It takes two of you to service one person??? I said all of this to say they have OFFICIALLY lost a client of over a year. I ended up coming to V-Nails (3509 David Cox Rd) for my normal services and my eyebrows look AMAZING and my pedicure is so relaxing. I've never had a problem with the guy. He gets my nails done quick and they always look great. The older woman in there is rude, nasty, and racist. Terrible customer service. She also selectively charges higher for some people. So you know, you can try your luck. read more

I've been to a few nail salons in Charlotte, but I don genuinely say I've found my nail home! The technician are all very pleasant. Escape Nails do not "nickel and dime" you for every little thing like to cut your nails shorter, or to use different instruments during a pedicure. What's posted is typically the price...and might I add the prices are amazing! A regular pedicure is $25, with a fill in at $18 those are the two services I've utilized since going. You won't be disappointed here or hurt (I can't remember the name of the gentleman that did my fill in both times) like most nail technicians do with the electric filer. I relocated back to Charlotte, and the young lady has been phenomenal with an exceptional level of courtesy. My pedicures are always clean and cute. Others tend to compliment my toes, and I owe it to her. This is my go to location for my pedis. read more

I specifically asked for the same color for both my manicure and pedicure. The tech mixed up the bottles, then tried to blame it in the manufacturer when it was clearly a different color. Gel manicure barely lasted a week. Was very streaky and uneven. Would not recommend read more

Went into get a pedi while on this side of town visiting my daughter......bad idea...water cold asked her to make it warm...she didn't...it took her 15 minutes...it sucked...I've got Polish on my skin...never go there again....don't recommend anyone go....worst ever read more

I would definitely recommended Escape Nails & Tan for a manicure and Gels. Here from California for the holidays and in need of a manicure. I searched via Yelp, and came upon Escape. Upon arriving for my appt, I was seated immediately. The manicurist, Nina (spl.?) Did a wonderful job, she was gentle and attentive to what I wanted. Nina left my cuticles looking great, NOT red or sore like some technicians. Nina spent a generous amount of time with me, therefore I left the salon feeling very pleased with the service.
