He will return in 60 minutes. You and your mates must find his treasure trove in order to escape. If he returns and catches you you'll be your walkin' the plank. Can you escape on the 7 seas in time? We were greeted by the owner who was very friendly and asked us where we were from and introduced us to her dog. She was very thorough in explaining the scenario of the escape room and going over the rules. The room was decorated with pirate themed items and the puzzles and games were challenging. We were able to escape with only minutes to spare and we were able to take photos afterward. What a fun activity in Breck! I took my parents for their very first experience and we did the wizard room. It was a really good sequential room for beginners. My mom really enjoyed it. We made it out with about 2min to spare (with clue). There was one part that didn't work perfect from the technical perspective but we got through it. The puzzles were challenging enough to keep the adults entertained but easy enough that our kids still felt involved. From the moment you arrive until you head up the stairs and back out in to the elements, you'll feel at home for the duration of your visit. The spaces are well-decorated, but not transformative; it looks and feels like the commercial retail space that it is. Captain Steelhook's Treasure was not the best pirate-themed game I've played, but some of the puzzles here (e.g. the birdcage, the sailboats, the math problem) were certainly unique and memorable. read more

We Escaped!!! But with only 59 seconds remaining of our 1 hour allotted time. My wife and I traveled to Breckenridge for a weekend ski trip, but returned home talking about Escape Room Breckenridge. Of course the skiing was amazing too, but we absolutely loved this escape room. This was our first escape room experience and it challenged us while bringing out our inner detective. You are placed into a room and given a scenario, a murder mystery, and are challenged to find clues placed throughout the room to solve the mystery of who killed a Hollywood Starlit before the 1 hour time runs out. This was an amazing activity to do after a day of skiing, a mental challenge after the physical challenge of skiing. I had never been to an escape room before so I had no idea what to expect. Without giving away too much, you are essentially in one room with up to 8 people looking for clues, and then trying to solve them in order to escape. You have to do this one 1 hour though. Well, we did it in 52mn! And I absolutely loved every minute of it. I loved the diversity of the types of clues, and the different ways we had to solve them. It extremely rewarding when you figure something out because then you get to move on to the next "thing"/clue. A good time, marred by some unfortunate technical difficulties. This was our second escape room experience and we were going in with high expectations. We opted for their new room "wizard school". Our group of 4 was combined with another group of 3 and we dove right into the puzzles. Unfortunately some of the puzzles seemed to either be broken, or had their electronic sensors very heavily delayed. Some didn't return our next clue until several minutes after we completed them and others returned the next clue or key before we actually had solved the puzzle. Tech issues aside it was still an enjoyable time for our family and we'd probably go back again to try another room, but possibly at one of the other escape room spots in town. read more

SUPER FUN!!! This place was kinda a last minute idea while on vacation, and SO glad we did it! The owner was friendly and definitely knew what she was doing. We had to use clues to figure out how to escape the room. Ours was the second hardest and we got out with 1 second to spare! I was a little nervous at first because I can get claustrophobic and assumed I wouldn't be able to go out of the room if I needed to within that hour, but there were windows and emergency escape doors so that made me feel better. It's amazing how the owner comes up with each scenario/room. You also have the option of calling her from inside the room to get a max of 3 clues. They definitely helped! We did the Secret Agent room, causing all 5 of us to be all over the room, using our creative skills. Only used 2 hints and spaced with 7 minutes left.
