I was quite reluctant to try this location after reading through many of the negative reviews, but my coworker assured me I should give it a try. Also, two of my favorite hairstylists--Anna and Leo--moved to Escape. I first visited for a haircut with Anna. She was absolutely flawless as usual. The pricing was higher than their previous location, but I know Escape has their own menu of prices. After that, I visited twice for pedicures. I do like that you don't have to choose what type of pedicure you want to get until you arrive, since sometimes I'm not sure how much time I'll have or what I'll be in the mood for. They do try to upsell based on what you choose, but they are respectful after you've made your selection. The massage chairs are relaxing, and they make sure the soaking water is a comfortable temperature. I've been happy with both of my pedicures. I haven't gone for one that included a massage yet, but I'm planning to treat myself when I have more time. I do wish it was clearer how they sterilized their tools and that shared items were disinfected between clients. I haven't seen anything freshly unwrapped, but they do bring many tool caddies from the back, so it's possible these are cleaned up and set up ahead of time. Do not, under any circumstances, get dip nails here - unless you want warts. I had always only gotten a plain "clean up" manicure here, but wanted something fancy for an event. Well, I did get the fancy, but I also ended up with periungual warts around the base of two fingernails. Treatment is painful and costly and my fingers look terrible. NEVER AGAIN! I've been to Escape Salon & Day Spa numerous times and have alway had the best experience. I am VERY picky when it comes to my pedicures so much so that I drive 45 minutes to come here. David is the tech I book for each and every appointment. He handles my feet with care and is always professional. Yes, their services are on the expensive side, but it is well worth it. I am always offered something to drink while having my pedicure. My only complaint is that they no longer offer the cheese, crackers and fruit as they did before COVID. No one was rude this time but their perfect match sets are not even close to matching.

Went in for a routine haircut. I had came in with waist length hair, and I pointed to about an inch above chest length as the length I wanted. Darcy cut a pilot cut at about an inch above chest height, put it up into a ponytail, then cut it before confirming how I wanted the cutting process done. I wound up with two strands in the front that were correct, but all the rest was way further up than what I had asked for. For an example, the hair towards the back is now all about and length, and the hair on my sides is all down only to my shoulders. When I said that this was wrong she proceeded to say that it was "still long enough to be considered long" when it objectively speaking is medium length. She also said that there's not much to do about it since she had confirmed the length (the one she blatantly ignored) with me. I called to complain and was told that there wasn't much they could do because she is a long time stylist. Worst part about it is the 95 dollars they charged for messing up my hair. Worst haircut I have ever had, especially for how much I paid. It's to the point I would rather go to the great clips next door since they don't try to charge like they are premium. read more

I wish I could do a separate review for the massage and my nail services but I guess I can't. I came back here for a pedicure and SNS. I probably won't be coming back. Maybe I could pick a new tech? My pedicure was actually pretty great but I picked a service (hot stone pedicure) with paraffin, and I didn't get the paraffin. I asked her and she said it was extra but it's clearly marked as included in the pedicure. My nails are a disaster. The nail tech was aggressive with the drill and I bled a little bit, and she spent the last half hour using a cuticle clipper and nail file, chipping away all the extra product under my nails and it still looks like garbage. If I have to go home and fix my nails the day I get them done, then it's a no for me dog. read more

I've tried to give this place several chances and the quality is so inconsistent it's very disappointing. There are a few gem workers, like a young Spanish lady named Karen. She took her time doing my boyfriend's pedicure and did a wonderful job this most recent time. This establishment does not respect the services requested or written on their own menu. There have been times where I asked specifically for a soak off and they proceeded to rip off my nails instead. This most recent time, I was not given a portion of the described pedicure yet I was charged the full amount. I tried to politely ask for a deduction in amount being that I didn't receive the full service and most employees were not at all helpful. Excluding a young man who worked at the front desk. Yesterday, Nov. 13, 2022 I decided to take my daughter with me to get our nails and feet done at the Escape Salon & Day Spa located at 12627 Galveston Court; Manassas, This is the worst nails salon and spa in Prince William, and one that I have ever been to. They are overpriced, and provide a bunch of excuses for a simple design. My daughter got a simple French manicure and pedicure, and it was $140. Oh, let's not forget the fact that my pedicure was $90 (See the pictures of what we got). This salon must be going through some financial issues, because I have been there before and have NEVER spent $310 for an basic gel pedicure and an SNS dip on my hand. But they will NEVER see me again. In fact, I am going to share my experiences on Facebook and Instagram. I was disgusted at the owners/managers trying to justify the overpriced service that cost me $310. So please make sure to explore other options or salons I. PWC. The gift card was expired (due to COVID), but we had called prior to coming in about the gift card and were told that if we came in Monday-Thursday for services that the gift card would be accepted. We came in on a Monday and both got aroma therapy massages. They were great (the reason for 2 star instead of 1), however when it came time to pay, we were not permitted to use the gift card. Do not do not do not go to salon. This place is totally smoke in mirrors- looks high end but once you go you realize how substandard it is. For over a year I've been going here and 9/10 visits have always been flawed. So I simply relegated this place to get a hair toner job Salon I mean how can you mess up a hair toner? It's close to the house and I cannot always get to Fairfax or DC for a 15 minute quick toner. Came for a hair toner touch up recently on my highlighted hair and walked out looking like vampira with black hair. For months I have been getting the same toner color done with the same amount of time and it's been just fine. The person doing my hair this last time destroyed my hair which I paid hundred of dollars to highlight properly at another salon (a very good one mind you). Here are the issues w this place- it's expensive. And Expensive is fine- I love expensive and only go to high end salons- but here you get cheap quality, poor work, and bad products for paying absurdly high prices. It's kind of insane that the price of this salon is the same as George in Georgetown at the four seasons. Same price but definitely different professional standards. So you might as well go there. At least they are truly artists there. The minute you need to speak w someone of authority they don't exist. No management on duty. Not sure how you can have a 50 person salon business and not have a single manger there!!! This is A service business and no management? There's also no owner supposedly- they "don't work". Save yourself the heartache and money- don't go- drive to Fairfax drive to Tyson's drive anywhere far far away from this place as the service is substandard and they have the worst customer service ever. I've been coming here for years. I mean years. Not anymore. This last time for me was the last straw. The prices for pedicures are really high. For a 60 minute pedicure you're supposed to get a 60 minute massage. Yea that doesn't happen ever. I specifically told her to be careful of a cut I had on the side of my foot which she blatantly ignored and ended up scraping over it causing pain. They proceeded to laugh at my daughter and I (remember we can understand them). Not to mention It took 3.5 hours to get a pedicure and a set of nails done and the nails were basic. Nothing fancy. I literally was so patient waiting in the car for my daughter and I'm going on almost 3.5 hours of waiting so I go in and complain. The place is not busy. The owner calls after me and I expressed my aggravation and he says "it's because she wanted a design" So it takes 3.5 hours to get polka dots on nails? I just walked out. For the price in my opinion it's not worth it. It really is a shame because their are not a lot of nail places around me that are as nice but the customer service is lacking and the nail techs are rude and don't pay attention. Do not go here. They are rude and if they make a mistake with your service they will blame it on you. I booked my second hot stone massage with them and they gave my mom and I the wrong massage. I had paid a deposit before I came for this specific massage so it was fully confirmed. However, supposedly we were the wrong ones. They argued with us for 20 minutes before finally letting us go with half off of our services. I'm super disappointed because I actually did enjoy this place but definitely will not return here ever again. If you are a business owner and your employees make the mistake own up to it. Came in for a haircut. I made it clear to the stylist that I didn't want a super short cut due to asian hair spiking up when short, and I even showed a reference picture of what I wanted. Before I knew it, I had a very short haircut with short hair that spiked up everywhere. Quite literally the worst haircut I have ever had. I've never once had a bad experience here but my go-to is Crystal! She does an amazing job, places the polish up to the nail bed (doesn't look like you have overgrowth by the next day), doesn't overdo trimming the skin of your cuticles, and is an absolute professional! I never would have thought going to a day spa would actually be enjoyable. I got a "coffee pedicure", shoulder massage, and European Wax for my feet. Let me tell you... I will be back for sure. Bonnie could tell I was new to all this so she explained things as we went through the process. I work in a fairly high stress environment so self-care is paramount. She then had to wait another 45 minutes to get her manicure. She is a violinist and cannot have long nails. The lady was very rude and told her she should get tips because it would look better. I would highly recommend Escape Salon & Day Spa. I have been going to them for 19 years. They offer many services and I use most of them. I see Ann to cut, color and style my hair. She specializes in hair extensions too. She is very professional and great at what she does. She always takes time with me and focuses only on me when I'm in the chair. I have seen other stylists over the years and everyone of them are wonderful. I enjoy seeing Hannah every two weeks when I get my nails done. She pays extra attention to my ingrown toenails.
