We tried to plan a visit around the holidays and availability was spotty and i wasn't getting called back. I feel like the holidays should be more staffed because of other people being on holiday. It's become one of our favorite things to do, and this visit was no exception! A huge shoutout to Natasha and Byan--they were absolutely amazing hosts. From the moment we walked in, they were welcoming, energetic, and set such a fun tone for the whole experience. They explained everything clearly, kept the excitement going, and made us feel totally immersed in the game. You can tell they genuinely enjoy what they do, and that energy really makes a difference. The room itself was a blast, but Natasha and Byan are what made this visit especially memorable. If you're thinking about trying Escapology, I highly recommend it--and if you get Natasha and Byan as your hosts, you're in for an even better time. We'll definitely be back again!

Escapology was our destination & it was fun! Inside | Moody lighting in the lobby! I absolutely loved the gold curtain with the gold hands quite stylish and glamorous! It was also fun holding the message bubbles of our choice while taking a group photo at the end! Low lighting in the actual escape room and several rooms to go through! Cameras are not allowed inside of the escape room as to not give away the clues, which totally makes sense! Haunted House | While escape rooms are enjoyable, my friends are "super good" at making it through the escape room in time, as the goal is to solve the game before the time runs out! This one was actually quite hard and we had to press the button a few times to get clues! We didn't find that the clues were that helpful at times... at one point, the screen said, don't spam! lol! What?! We needed better clues! I was super excited every single time I figured out a clue!! However, we did make it through the escape room before the time ran out!! Teamwork making the dream work, we solved it!! Yay! Customer Service | Thanks Sav, Nate & Sam! Friendly, helpful, and attentive! Thanks again for taking several group photos of us all! Some of us wore a costume to the escape room! Fun!! Overall | Fun times, bonding experience with friends, spending time together & puts critical thinking into motion, which made for a fun day before Halloween celebration! My group booked The Matrix for 8:00 PM at the Vermont location. We arrived a few minutes after…read more8:00, fully understanding that this would simply mean less time for us to play. Instead, there was no game master. He (Steve) didn't show up until 8:30 PM, and the group before us took 2 hours and didn't finish until 8:40 PM because, according to him, they let teams keep playing until they escape--even if they go well over their one-hour reservation. The game master then tried to blame our few-minute delay for the situation, which was ridiculous. Even if we had arrived exactly at 8:00, our room still wouldn't have been ready until around 9:00 PM--the time our game was supposed to end. We've completed 60+ escape rooms, and we've never experienced anything like this. What made the experience even worse was the terrible customer service. Instead of taking accountability for their scheduling failures, the staff acted like this was normal and didn't want to issue a refund, despite being unable to provide the experience we paid for. The complete lack of professionalism, accountability, and respect for customers' time made this by far the worst escape room experience we've ever had.

We were heading out…read moreto Hollywood for an event, and decided to stop by this location on the way to try their Doctor Psycho room. You must solve a serial killer's puzzles before he returns. They're located right on Western Ave, on the corner of a side street. The building is easy to spot with its orange and white exterior. Parking is also easy since they have their own private lot behind the building. After you park, walk around to the front corner, and ring the doorbell to gain entry. We arrived a little early, but were able to start right away. The adventure begins with a blood-spattered door before you even step inside. You are allowed to take pictures in the room and you can use your phones flashlight if needed. The room is a little dimly lit and helps set the mood. There are some good sound effects and a few jump scares, but it feels more creepy and spooky than scary. There is a good mix of combo locks, key locks, some unique mechanical puzzles, and a few dexterity puzzles. Everything worked fine, but the numbers on some of the combo locks were pretty worn. I ended up using the flashlight on my phone for those which helped a lot. This was definitely a fun room. We escaped with about eight minutes left and only needed a few nudges. Solving one of the puzzles near the end gives you a nice little personalized keepsake. They rate this room as medium difficultly which I would agree with. Our game master Kim was great. She was very friendly, and we enjoyed chatting with her before and after the room. Their rooms are a little pricey for only two people at $62.50 per person, but the price drops with the more people you bring. They have a same day booking discount, and you also can save $10 if you book seven or more days in advance.

They did such a fantastic job making it feel like you were on the set of a horror movie, the decor and props gave off a "Saw" vibe. Depending on what your fears are, this room might test them a little. The room starts off very dark, and at one point you are even in complete darkness. There will also be flashing lights, and a need to crawl through a tight space. There were plenty of puzzles for everyone in the group to work on, no one was left out which made everyone happy. We were able to complete the room with plenty of time to spare and had a great time figuring everything out. We would 100% come back to check out one of their other rooms at this location and check out some of the other themed rooms at their other locations as well. This is a great group activity whether you are with a group of friends, family or even co-workers. All of the props and puzzles in the room worked perfectly and we didn't run into any issues. Our game host was great, and they had a comfortable waiting area for when you are waiting for your room.

The production values were very high with fake explosions, triggered fog effects and many different elaborate rooms. Maria was also the best game master we've had and much more committed to her character than I've seen in other game masters. I also appreciate that she gave us extra time when she could sense my daughter was anxious to make sure that we finished. For two people I'd say this was a little harder than the other medium rooms we have done.

stash house exceeded expectations as one of the highest ranked and recommended escape room in LA…read morearea! the puzzles were pretty unique and complex and the storyline was immersive. the nonlinear room design was different and good for a group of 8 but it did throw me off a bit b/c there were clues in front of us but I assumed we were waiting on other puzzles to be solved first. minus half star - our game master did not look or sound happy to be there and i don't think she was trying to be in character. she talked pretty softly and quickly when explaining the rules with music in the background so i could barely hear the instructions and that would have been harder for someone's first escape room. it didn't ruin the experience at all but i've just always had pretty engaged and enthusiastic game masters.

We came for Jumanji. Apparently, this room has been around for over 10 years! They have record…read morebreaking times for each escape room. They have two sections and Jumanji is on the bottom floor. They have more upstairs. Check-in process was fairly simple. Just like all the other escape rooms, you will need to complete a waiver. If you havent fully paid for the room, they will collect the balance there. The price is a little high for a one hour experience and tip is optional at the end via cash or a cashapp payment. For 8 people, on a Saturday, it was over $400. I read somewhere in the comments/questions section, there is a yelp check-in discount. I didnt see any on the website, so maybe check with them? Also, there is a code for $15 off your room in the photos section something. I didnt take a photo of it, but I do recall seeing a similar image at the check-in desk. Ive done about 12 escape rooms so far and this experience may have been the best teamwork me and my friends have participated in. We enjoyed ourselves and had a fun time with the theme! We were able to finish will 11 minutes left and had 0 hints! We appreciated the GMs comments when a puzzle was completed so we could move on to another puzzle or area!
