Since my wife's brother Jeremy and wife Raquel were in town and we had done an escape room with them a different time they had come, we decided to one again and invite her sister and husband along for the six of us to tackle Escape the Room together. After traipsing through the Glendale Galleria to the somewhat hodge-podge third floor area that is sort of a second food court but not really, we made our way to Escape the Room where we had reservations for the Western room. The guy who checked us in was helpful and friendly and did a great job explaining the rules and giving us the quick synopsis for our story to escape. Time started going and we were in the first room which looked like a post office or bank of some sort. It's always stressful being under the gun to solve a puzzle but also a lot of fun too. I prefer to try to figure it out on my own but my brother-in-law is all about asking for hints and so as we played, I even felt our host was having a good time with some of the clues he gave us. The puzzle would have been a lot trickier had we not asked for clues, but we were able to solve the puzzle in roughly 45 minutes and escaped the room! It was a lot of fun. They have a second room that I want to come back and try. We did this a couple of years ago and when I came to drop my daughter off a few weeks back, they were doing the same room we had done. I think it'd be great for these escape rooms to change out their rooms every so often so there's more reason to come back. Fun though and the room was well decorated and certainly put us in the time period for that puzzle. read more

We did a walk-in instead of booking in advance. We planned on doing the 6 pm Western Bank Heist. A friend was running late, and the next slot was 7:20 pm. They were able to accommodate, letting us in at 6:30 pm! Natalie was our host and was amazing at explaining the experience to the first-timers in our group. (Thank you Natalie!) It was challenging finding the place but it was clean and had a big couch to hang out on. read more

Came here with a group of 10 to celebrate a friend's birthday. This escape room is located on the 2nd floor of the Glendale Galleria so I would keep in mind the time it takes to find parking and walk over. We came the day after Christmas around 4 PM so it was quite busy. Our group signed up for the Jurassic Escape room and we're able to escape with time to spare (I believe 15 mins?). I felt like this room had more puzzles to solve than some other escape rooms that I've been to, but I didn't feel like the mechanics of the room were worth the price. For example, there were a couple of times where the employee had to watch us and manually activate things because it didn't seem to be working on its own. Because of this, I'd give the Jurassic Escape room a 6/10. Overall, I'd return if friends really wanted to, but I'll likely be checking out other escape rooms in the LA area moving forward. read more

We had a phenomenal experience here from beginning to end in the thrilling Clocktower room! We managed to solve it in 55 minutes which was amazing for us haha - Thank you to the Escape the Room team! The Jurassic Room was fun. Lots of puzzles and the theme was well executed :) But there was a piece missing that kept us from finishing and they came in to check it. They couldn't fix it and offered a discount. Warning: be mindful that they will charge you ahead of time for a future event in order to give you the discount and sales are final. We weren't warned before the card (on file) was charged. Amaris and Thomas helped us, and although they offered their apologies, we don't feel comfortable going back. read more

Did the Jurassic room. Just awful experience. Broken clue items that if they worked, you might figure out the next step, but because they don't you're sitting there for 15 of your 60 minutes trying to figure out one answer. A squeezy toy that had the answer was broken and we told the employee Thomas after, he says "oh yeah we have to order more". Order more?! You only need one! Go buy one at Wacko. The egg spinning machine that i had figured out the solution to, tried multiple times to no avail, we finally get it to work using the same solution - after Thomas tells us "oh yeah that can act a little weird". When you're not dealing with broken clue items, you also have to deal with puzzle clues that either misdirect or even have zero bearing on the solution. Even when you finally figure out the answer or ask for help, things still do not make logical sense as to how you would have figured that out. Because of all this time wasted, we were not even halfway done with the rooms when Thomas comes on the speaker and says he'll give us more time - Not because he knows the puzzles are broken - but only if we all leave a 5 star review on Yelp. RIGHT THEN AND THERE. Yes, he paused the game and waited for us to leave reviews - to which i refused but my partner accepted. How many of the 5 star reviews here are just employees BRIBING customers?! I wouldn't have even left a review, much less a 1 star, but the fact that he blackmailed us into writing 5 star reviews for a broken game is just too much for to me to disregard. read more

First off, Drayden was an awesome game master! He was great at setting the tone and giving hints (of which we needed plenty). We played the Jurassic room and loved how well the room was themed. Natalie was a great clue master! We did the clock tower which was a pretty difficult and involved room, but really fun. A few glitches and some puzzles seemed to be a bit of a stretch, but still a good room. Edited from 5 to 2 stars: came here again to do the South Park room before it left. Super glitchy, and clue giver was not very helpful. Would give us clues for things we had already done, and was not responsive when we asked for clues. The room was cool, with lots of puzzles but it was glitchy as well, and we escaped the room without solving some puzzles. read more

I did the South Park escape room with my sister and her boyfriend and had A BLAST. Sto was extremely helpful in getting us through by sending drones and helpful tips. We lost and overthought everything getting ourselves stuck in the principals office. We had so much fun we decided to return today and do the Western Bank Heist. It was a little too much on the easy side and we are currently signing up for the Clocktower escape room which would be the hardest. I love escape rooms and had so much fun. The quality production for the South Park room was 10/10 hands down the top 2 for the best escape room I've done (about 8 now). I've been to a couple rooms and have seen some pretty janky ones where you know the puzzles felt toooo unclear, very questionable, and not a lot of thought put in it. But oh man our game master was so engaged and helpful that made the entire experience for our party of 4 a truly memorable one. Thank you! read more

Jurassic Park room was awful. The set and props looked pretty cool, we had high hopes. However, it was just terrible. Awful story (no story), awful "clues" inside the room (no clues, no impetus), and awful technology. A large part of the room and camera that we needed did not work. Some of the clues that we got help with didn't make any sense even with the assistance. We don't normally need many hints at all and we are generally very forgiving because we love escape rooms. However, this was one of the worst, if not the worst, that we have ever done and we've done over 100 rooms. The room was also extremely warm and uncomfortable even though it was a very nice day out (72 degrees). Our game master (Bruce, maybe?) was nice and we wish we could give this place a decent rating but this room was just awful. read more

Came here today with some family and we had a blast! We did "Jurassic Escape" and sadly were not able to escape but we had a blast regardless. This was only my second time doing an escape room but I think the room was awesome. It was spacious and had a lot of puzzles to solve. The worker Chloe was helpful in giving us clues when we just couldn't figure out what to do next. This room was rated as "moderate" for difficulty so I would highly recommend trying it out with at least 5 people or more seasoned escape room players. read more

I would 100% come back here solely for him We had such a difficult time w parking and finding the location at the mall and were quite a bit late. However josh was soo sweet and made sure we had a good quality experience still by working things on his end. Super appreciate him and he honestly made my day w how easy and convenient he made things for us. Really hope management pays attention and gives incentives to keep him around. Hes got a great sense of humor and is personable. This was an awesome experience! We were looking for something fun to do and felt really excited to be a part of this. We did the southpark experience and it was a mid level, definitely complex enough to use your brain but also have fun. Amber was our clue master and really helped when we needed it, and they were super friendly when I told them I was a tad claustrophobic too. The staff is amazing and everyone is really helpful. The clues are fun and would definitely recommend for a unique outing. We're coming back for sure! 10/10 read more
