We came here for a bachelorette party and did the Indiana jones style room. Our host was great though he did talk quite quickly through the instructions. For the cost and the size of the room, I was expecting more clues and for it to be a little more difficult. All in all though. It was a fun experience and I would try another room. read more

I forgot to check in when I was in town for work. I took my team to this escape room and we escaped!!! We did the apartment and got out with less than 2minutes remaining. The staff was friendly and helpful. He provided us with nice clues when we needed a little jump start on things. My team enjoyed it since it was their first time doing an escape room. Game master was pretty snippy and ruined me and my girlfriend's anniversary experience. He was apparently in a bad mood because his "cat died". I asked him to speak up because we couldn't hear him and he started yelling into the mic. After that we asked for a refund because we didn't want to be treated so disrespectfully. What a fun room! The company is located on the second floor of a building so that was fun to find. The room we chose was The Apartment! Very fun and clever! This was my fifth escape room and I liked the use of magnets! The only thing I did not like was for one of the questions we had to use our cell phones to make a call and it took our minds out of the game. We had a team outing at Escape the Room. The welcoming staff was super nice and we had "The apartment" as our room. We entered the room and then "It is on immediately" Tons of puzzles and codes you need to figure out. We only needed 3 or 4 "Clues" to figure it out and we finished with about 7 minutes left. The puzzles were difficult, but not impossible.It was a great team activity and everyone contributed to solving the puzzles. It was a great afternoon with the team. This was the first escape room I've done, so I don't have anything to compare it to, but I loved it! We did the Agency room and had so much fun searching all over the room to find clues and solve the puzzles. The host was very friendly and engaging, both while explaining the rules and then afterward, recapping what we did. We had a group of four, which seemed like a good number. You are allowed up to eight, but I think that would be too many people. With four people, we all always had something to do, no standing around. We had two very logical/analytical thinkers, and two more emotional/relational thinkers and we all contributed to figuring out the puzzles and ultimately escaping the room with two minutes to spare! The host watches you throughout the game and if you get stuck, will give you a clue to keep you moving. There were definitely two puzzles we would not have figured out in time without a clue, but they weren't just giveaways which I appreciated. This was such a fun experience. We all left so excited and talked about over drinks afterward. I would love to try the other rooms soon! read more

This review is based on the apartment escape room at "escape the room Minneapolis". The basic premise is this: try to get out of the apartment. For what reason? You're simply locked in. You're not trying to disarm a bomb, rob a bank, or anything exciting. You're simply in a locked room and need to get out. As far as content goes the room was boring, the puzzles while challenging were not very interesting, and the experience never really felt thrilling the way other rooms I've experienced have been. The other issue is that there were a dozen people (2 groups that didn't know each other) in a small setting trying to work the puzzles. For the size of the space there were too many people and would have been more enjoyable if smaller limits were held. The agency and dig rooms seem far more appealing and dictate a smaller group so maybe those rooms are more my style. I just think the premise wasn't interesting. Otherwise the staff was friendly and good hosts. read more

High-quality escape rooms with so many mind-blowing surprises. We did "The Dig" and having only done one other escape room (in Wisconsin) this place really exceeded my expectations. There were a variety of puzzle and clue types that kept the entire group intrigued and the production value was really really amazing! We got out with just a few minutes to spare and only had a few challenges in terms of getting the clues in order and thinking some things were clues that were not. Played the apartment escape room a couple of days ago with 4 people and it was just OK. The design wasn't very immersive and there was a screen that kept giving us hints every 5 minutes. That may have been because our team was doing poorly, but the room was not linear at all which threw us off. I've heard some of their other rooms are more linear and easier so maybe we should have tried the others. The staff was nice enough. read more

First time trying to solve the puzzle of escaping the room and thoroughly enjoyed the challenge. Admittedly, when you first walk in the room, it can be overwhelming not knowing where to begin but you quickly learn to start exploring and moving everything. Before the game, the hostess was very helpful explaining the Do's and Don'ts of the game. Overall, a lot of fun and would return to play the other rooms. One hour goes by very quickly so best advice is to divide and conquer. read more

Super fun group activity. Like others have said, it's difficult, but not so hard that it's impossible. We did the Dig, and it took us almost the entire time to solve the puzzles. My group was penalized and ultimately failed our second room over a faulty box. We received a key with out solving a puzzle (due to a faulty locking box) and the employee openly called us cheaters. Our group spent over $400 at this place for 2 hrs. They can afford to make quality puzzles. Your time and money will be better spent at one of the other room escape games in the twin cities. read more

It was fine. The people were a bit cold and the rooms weren't very interesting. We did the apartment and it wasn't very themed or challenging. Mostly it was just finding numbers to put into codes and it wasn't interesting or new in any way. I'm sure the other rooms could be more immersive, and it was still fun. The rigging was pretty cool and there was a couple fun parts but overall it was not the best puzzle room. There are no scores and that's odd, but the countdown clock is nice. The lack of immersion from the personalized joke like hints and the boring set was the most disappointing. I sound like I'm pooping on it but it was still fun and not THE worst. Absolutely had a blast doing these rooms. I loved the first one so much that me and several friends came back and tried another. Any adults with a child in their heart still longing to be in an Indiana Jones style adventure NEEDS to try their room called Dig. I can't give anything away but there are so many cool secrets and hidden pieces that make that puzzle thrilling to solve. It is an absolute blast and all of the clues were so fun to race against the clock to solve. Highly, HIGHLY recommend. read more

This was the first time I ever have done this and my friends and I had a blast. The puzzles were fun to solve. My only complaint was that even though the employee there said our room's puzzles were fairly linear, we obtained an item at the beginning that was for much later on. I must have wasted a good 5 minutes trying to figure the thing before moving on to something else which isn't good when you have only 60 minutes to escape the room. read more
