Back on rotation, this night didn't disappoint. Food great, service was friendly and food plentiful and yummy. Everyone was happy from grandma to the kiddo!

Good food. Only issue was service was a little slow . The one thing to watch for is the lunch menu prices are "cash" prices and there is nothing telling you that on the "lunch" menu. It cost more for a credit card. It's not a lot of money but it the point you should be aware of the up charge.

a must try for delicious mexican food in the central valley! I've visited several times and we are typically seated quickly. there is a full bar/bar seating as well as the general dining area + patio seating. The staff is kind and service is quick. They offer complimentary chips, whipped refried beans and cabbage. The chips are warm and fresh! We ordered the chicken fajitas and taquitos. Everything was amazing highly recommend

A very special shout out to 2 very kind and hospitable servers here who always take the time to talk to this weary traveler. Vianka and Larissey. I hope I spelled your names right. No matter which one of you is working I can count on kind service and a wonderful conversation about our days. Thanks to you both and also the entire staff that make this place run on a daily basis. This place is always it's consistent when it comes to their food. As you can see, I tend to order the same thing every time. And it is just as good as the first time i've been there. Closest thing to a home cook meal That I can find near a truck stop on the 99. Always look forward to my reset when I'm in Ripon because I can come in and enjoy a nice meal and a drink. Again thank you to the staff and I will see you soon

The inside is very classy chic with a Mexican twist . I went during the week so it was happy hour . Their happy hour is pretty sweet ! It's from Monday - Friday 4-6 pm, Dine-In Only . They offered $10 drinks and also $10 appetizers. I ended up getting their tacos de papa from their happy hour, which is two tacos, but they are very fulfilling. They're very delicious and I did not see them in the regular menu so if you go during happy hour, it's definitely a must try. I also ordered Jesse's favorite, which is a Chile that looks like a chille relleno, but it's not instead of the egg it has a cream sauce on top and inside it has ground beef . My dad ordered the fajitas which they came with a side of cilantro rice and beans and also all the fixings like guacamole and stuff. Let me tell you the fajitas meal was huge. You could definitely share it with somebody else. I have to say their portions are very generous. For drinks they have beers margaritas my mother had a Chavela, which is beer with lime. I'm not a big tequila fan, but they do have a full bar so I just changed the dirty linen drink for Gin instead of tequila and it was very delicious . The service everyone was really nice and attentive. Overall, we had a great dinner my family and I we had a lot of food and a lot of good laughs. I would definitely come back. I have to say I love their tacos de Papa and for them being on happy hour it's a win-win.

If you don't care, I don't care. I'm not eating here anymore. I'd rather make a bologna sandwich at home. Having eaten at Las Casuelas at least a dozen times, I've gotten the full experience. At best, the food here ever so slightly resembles something truly Mexican. The flavors are muted. The mole, for example, tastes like it was made out of box. It lacks complexity. The beans seem to just sit on hold and have the quality of leftovers. This place is more like Chevys than a real Mexican restaurant. If you want to drink beer, eat salsa, chips, and guacamole then this is the place for you. The service is friendly but that doesn't mean the service can be considered good. Frankly, I don't care if they throw the food at me as long as it tastes good! Just because you serve it with a smile doesn't make it taste any better. The focus seems to be on expediting the food out of the kitchen window instead of considering, "Would I serve this to my mother?" The restaurant doesn't appear to have consistent recipes nor the cooks who are trained and willing to live up to any standard. There is no attention to detail. For the most part, ingredients seem to be thrown together in a sloppy and haphazard way. I've always had to remind the servers to make sure my food comes out hot, please don't overcook the food, can you be sure to bring us some salsa??? This final time, I asked for Chicken Milanese which is essentially a pounded out piece of chicken breast. It's fried chicken. I asked them to please refrain from overcooking it. What arrived was a very, very thin peace a chicken that had been fried to a crisp. It was more of a cracker than poultry at that point. All of the juices and fat had been cooked right out of the chicken breast. Tasteless. If the same chicken had not been pounded down to the thickness of a fingernail, then it would have been harder to murder it in the deep fryer. I let the waiter know and he didn't care. My friend asked for soup without vegetables. Guess what? I spent my dinner watching him conduct soup-surgery, removing the vegetables like he was playing that game, Operation, and dripping broth all over the table in the process. People usually go to restaurants to have the cooks prepare the food for them and, unless you're at a Korean BBQ, most costumers expect the food to arrive at the table, "ready-to-eat". Alright, this is the nail in the coffin. They served me a tomato with the tomato pit in it. Do I need to prep the tomatoes now too? All of you can do better, you just don't.

Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing. We ordered the arrachera plate, guacamole shrimp tostada, 3 asada tacos, and a quesabirria. The arrachera was severely overcooked, tough, flavorless, and consisted mostly of fat. It was completely inedible. The shrimp on the tostada also lacked any flavor. In the end, the only items we were able to eat were three plain asada tacos and one quesabirria, yet our bill still came to nearly $90. What made the situation even more frustrating was how it was handled. As soon as we received the arrachera plate, we notified our server that it was inedible. She said she would let the kitchen know, but never returned to follow up. In fact, her entire demeanor changed after that interaction. Throughout the rest of our meal, service was poor and we had to repeatedly flag someone down just to get our tiny glasses of water refilled. After about 45 minutes, a different server finally brought our check. When she read the total, I explained that we had already informed the other server about the issue with the arrachera. She went to speak with the kitchen and returned to tell us there was nothing they could do and that we would still have to pay for the two untouched plates. We were never offered a replacement, an alternative dish, or any attempt to make the situation right. Mistakes happen, but good customer service is about how those mistakes are handled. Being charged full price for food that was untouched because it was inedible, while receiving poor service throughout the meal, left a very bad impression. We will not be returning.

Inside is a quaint little dining area with a bar type eating section that may or may not be used. It's separated by the walking path from the door to the cashier making it seem isolated without being isolated. Ordering was like any other taqueria, walk to the register and place your order. Reading the register screen the order was correct, two super burritos and two super fries. Roughly $40. It took about 10 minutes for the food to be ready and the employee was nice enough to bring it to thw table we were sitting at. When we arrive home and unpacked the items, I had to ask what we ordered. We had three containers, two we could only figured were burritos bowls, and the other was super fries. So, not only were we missing part of the order, we got something completely different. Luckily, a few people don't eat a lot and were able to share these meals. The super fries were large enough for two people to easily share. There was plenty of toppings to the point you couldn't see the fries, something, I personally like. However, the first bite into the fries were a undercooked frozen oven potato texture. Thinking it was just a frie that got stuck to another in the fryer, it happens. The second bite we cold, like refrigerator, cold. Digging around under the toppings to expose the fries that looked like they were microwaved instead of deep fried. There was no crispy crunch, or signs of a crispy tips. The potatoes were very easil to smash and had the frozen potatoes oder still. Needless to say, these could not be consumed. The super burritos, beside the fact they were not in a tortilla or in a burritos shape. AKA super burrito bowl, had no complaints from those that had to share. Will not be returning
