So I was looking around in the green valley area for pupusas, I came across this spot. Everything looked great! I called to place a phone order and to be honest, customer service LACKED HEAVY. I do not speak Spanish but I do believe that wasn't the issue. As soon as I called I I heard silence. I said "hello?" Someone said "hello?" I said "is this Esmeralda's" they said "yes". The problem I found was there was no nice greeting or acknowledgment of answering the phone I thought it was strange. It was almost treated like a personal call. And I did end up speaking to someone who seemed to speak English but they did make ordering kind of difficult because they had no sense of assisting. I'd say "could I please place an order for pupusas?" They'd say "yes" THATS IT. Not " yes what kind of pupusas would you like" nothing. Just imagine that. It was kind of frustrating. Now on the phone they said 20 mins for 12 pupusas and 1 burrito. Ok sounds great. I arrived 20 mins later. But I ended up waiting about 10-15 more minutes in an empty restaurant still. I saw no one come in or out during the whole wait as well. But for fresh food I'm willing to wait a decent amount of time I was just confused as to why it would be taking a while if that makes sense? Now when I got the pupusas they were super hot which I loved. Overall the taste was amazing. I would like to say I do think the Curtido was kind of bland. It didn't taste too much like it was soaked or had salt. But other than that being the only con, the food was great! They were decently sized too. The sauce that came with the burrito was also very tasty. I loved how it was creamy kind of. Only thing is, the burrito only had meat... which was strange I expected maybe rice inside? Veggies? Sauce? No just meat. Some lettuce, rice, and beans come on the side tho. I do wish the portion for the rice and beans were bigger. But overall it was a Decently flavored burrito. I love supporting small businesses I just think sometimes customer service lacks in some small businesses. I'd still return but maybe I'd have someone else place the order for me lol read more

Came to this small place about 20 min from the strip. We live caldo de gallina so we are always trying new spots Inside is nice and clean. We came on a Monday evening 5:30ish not at all full us and one other table. Friendly service again slow night. The food was unfortunately not the best for MY TASTE BUDS. I had to add quite a bit of salt to the chicken soup. So did my hubby. Again to our liking. We may come back try the pupusas next. read more

Monday- 03/16/2026- A family friend of mine wanted to try this place while visiting from out of town. The restaurant was very clean and my family and I were the only customers there for a while. We were able to choose our own table and seat ourselves right away. Staff was friendly but service was a bit slow. This was my first time trying pupusas and I loved it; I live on the complete opposite side of town yet I would definitely come back! We had the queso y chicharron, queso, and revueltas pupusas and we loved them all. Other than that, I had the shredded beef quesadilla (they were ok), and my family ordered carne asada con camarrones (good), chicken enchiladas (great), and I think the chicken fajitas (good). This is my family and I's favorite place to eat pupusas at. Whenever we go, the servers and staff are friendly and always check up on you in a timely manner to make sure you're okay and don't need anything at the moment. We have been coming to this restaurant for approximately 7 years and even when they moved locations, we found them and went right back to them. That's how good they are. The ambiance allows for you to bring your family or even eat by yourself and you don't feel overwhelmed by any loud noises, allowing you to be able to have a nice conversation at the table. I could rave about this place all day. I recommend any of the pupusas which they have plenty of options for OR if that's not your thing, the carne asada plate is delicious too. The menu offers several options for you to choose from. Trust me, there will be something in there for you to like! The pupusas don't taste good and they're extremely stingy with the ingredients. I had a pupusa de loroco con queso and they barely put loroco on it, I had to stand up with my plate and show them what I was talking about. They did remake the pupusa and shoved a bunch of loroco in it, but I did notice they didn't like the feedback. read more

We went here for a casual lunch and the food and service was amazing. The papusas we so fresh and delicious. We also got tacos and platinos, which were also incredible. Everything was amazing. The service is horrible. I work just next door to this place. I called ahead for my order and was given a 20 minute wait for the food. I arrived after 30 minutes to pick up the food and placed an order for an asada quesadilla. I sat for 30 minutes or more for the quesadilla; I ended up asking for my money back because they were very dismissive of me and was not concerned about me sitting there. I would not recommend this place at all! To top it off my pupusa had hair on it!!! read more
