Some customers were there to socialize and others were camped out to work from their laptops. I snagged the second-to-last table when I arrived, and the last table was claimed a minute later. In addition to coffee, lattes, cappuccino and other similar drinks, Tala offers a small section of muffins and pastries as well as a small lunch menu. I'd love to go back and try a sandwich with my next latte. The location is odd, in an industrial area off the beaten path. But considering the crowd in there, the word is clearly out and people are flocking to it!

Breakfast sandwiches, oatmeal, and other breakfast items as well. Got my London Fog Tea Latte (a little lavender, a little vanilla, and extra foam), in a nice 12 oz mug. They told me it would be several minutes to steep the Earl Grey Tea, which I always take as a good sign that they know what they are doing :) Inside, there weren't any spots for two people to have a quiet or private conversation, so we had to go outside.
