Beautiful space, it's really lovely. This chain could put a little effort into being more European. A Gelato cafe should have good espresso served in proper espresso cups and saucers. The right atmosphere is here to sit alone to contemplate or read, or to chat with a friend or play a game of chess but ceramic espresso cups and saucers are a basic requirement. I'd like to see a couple more fruit flavor sorbets which do go well with espresso. Only disposable containers is not very classy, and the plastic isn't healthy for humans or the planet. read more

As soon as we walked in we were greeted very warmly and given as many samples as we wanted. I immediately settled on the Taro Tea Gelato, one of the best flavors I've ever had. Hubby couldn't decide so got a 2fer medium and got peanut butter cup and cookies and cream. Texture of the ice cream was just as amazing as the flavor. The place itself is very pretty classic architecture, has a neat upper balcony you can sit in. The staff was friendly and polite and very helpful. I went home and thought about that coffee every day and went back that next weekend with my teen. She got some treats, and her own "fancy coffee". She didnt care for her little cookies (macaroons) they specialize in she said they were stale. I did not try myself, so I cannot verify this info. But my biscotti was yummy. Cute business and I think it's great for the community and the downtown area. Came to visit family from the west cost and I must say the product is good, however the low review is for the service received all 3 times we visited the store. We were not treated with a smile, it almost seemed as if we were a bother when ordering. The wait is hit or miss for anything you order. Hope it improves for the next time we're-in town.
